Turkish Slide Away from Israel Speeds Up

Even as Israel sought to tamp down tension with Ankara over its decision to refuse IDF participation in a joint military exercise this week, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan accused Israel of using phosphorous bombs on Gaza's children

Then comes a mini-bombshell. Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Muallem, revealed Tuesday that Turkey and Syria had held military maneuvers last week - the same week Ankara canceled the annual Anatolian Eagle exercise because the IDF was to participate. "One week ago, Syria and Turkey carried out maneuvers near Ankara," Muallem said, according to Al-Jazeera. "This is important because it refutes reports of poor relations between the military and political institutes in Turkey over its strategic relations with Syria."

Muallem's statements came on the very same day that ten Turkish government ministers traveled to Damascus for the first ever meeting of the Turkey-Syria High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council.

According to a report in the Turkish newspaper Sabah, Erdogan blamed Israel for the cencellation of military exercise by stating, "While in some countries children are provided with comfort, peace, [and] the most advanced education and health opportunities, other children are faced with poverty, destitution, helplessness, war, conflict, weapons of mass destruction and phosphorus bombs. We are forced to heed the sounds of persecution. The slam was against Israel for its action against Palestinians in Gaza during Operation Cast Led last winter. Of course, Erdogan failed to mention the 8000 rockets fired from Gaza into Israeli population centers, or the fact that Hamas used civilians as human shields. He also by-passed the fact that Israel gave warning of the impending operation for nearly four months. I'd call that patience!

Now we discover that Erdogan will visit Damascus in early December as Hamas officials begin to see Turkey's action as an underlined support of the Palestinians. While Israel tries to avoid a spitting match with the Turks, the odds are beginning to stack up against them. Turkey is turning.......rapidly! Look for this turn away from Israel to continue, look for it to be hastened. In the Ezekiel 38 and 39 scenario, Turkey becomes an enemy of Israel.

Jews Have No History in Jerusalem

This headline is an accurate description of the mindset of the Palestinian, Arab, and Muslim leadership around the world. This distortion of history is what fuels the rabid insistence that Jerusalem is a Muslim City and Jews are the occupiers.Palestinian firebrands like Sheikh Salah and Shamekh Alawneh, and Sheik Tayseer Rajab fills the heads of their people with this deliberately counter-factual message so they will get the young people into the streets of Jerusalem throwing stones and participating in other forms of violence. The de-Judiaizing of Jerusalem is similar to the dehumanizing of Jews by the Nazis. If you effectively and persistently repeat the Big Lie you can distort the truth in the minds of millions.
In a recent Wall Street Journal article, Bari Weiss points out that the Koran and other Muslim traditions acknowledge an ancient Jewish presence in Jerusalem: The Koran, which references many biblical stories and claims figures like Abraham as Islamic prophets, also acknowledges the existence of the Jewish temples. The historian Karen Armstrong has written that the Koran refers to Solomon's Temple as a "great place of prayer" and that the first Muslims referred to Jerusalem as the "City of the Temple." Martin Kramer, a historian who has combed through Koranic references to the temples in Arabic, notes surra 34, verse 13, which discusses Solomon's building process: "They [jinn/spirits] worked for him as he desired, (making) arches, images, basins large as wells, and (cooking) cauldrons fixed (in their places)."

There is still more recent official Muslim acknowledgment of Jerusalem's Jewish history--a booklet put out in 1924 by the Supreme Muslim Council called "A brief guide to al-haram al-sharif." Al-haram al-sharif, the Arabic name for the Temple Mount, is currently the site of the Dome of the Rock and Al Aqsa mosque. It is, according to Islamic tradition, where Muhammad ascended to heaven.

Yet it is also, according to the council's booklet, a site of uncontested importance for the Jews. "The site is one of the oldest in the world. Its sanctity dates from the earliest (perhaps from pre-historic) times. Its identity with the site of Solomon's Temple is beyond dispute." And the booklet quotes the book of Samuel: "This, too, is the spot, according to the universal belief, on which 'David built there an altar unto the Lord, and offered burnt offering and peace offerings.'" Later, the booklet says the underground structure known as King Solomon's Stables probably dates "as far back as the construction of Solomon's Temple." Citing the historian Flavius Josephus, it claims the stables were likely used as a "place of refuge by the Jews at the time of the conquest of Jerusalem by Titus in the year 70 A.D."

Dr. Gerald Steinberg ends his article "Jerusalem: We win, you lose" in the Jerusalem Post with this important piece of advice to so-called peace-makers and funders of the Palestinians: "As long as the Arab and Muslim position slams the door to block Jewish history, Jerusalem will remain a battleground in which the Jewish nation will no choice but to use force when necessary to defend these rights."

With the recent statement by the Quartet (led by the Obama Administration) that the Palestinians should accelerate the establishment of institutions for governing based on the 1967 borders it is clear that the division of Jerusalem is on the agenda of the United states, Germany, Russia, ..etc. Will they be able to get it done in some fashion or another? We shall see.

The Complexities of Achieving Peace in the Middle East

As we plow our way toward the fulfillment of prophesied events, it is always wise to step back from the brink of sensationalism and really dig into the issues being dealt with in the Holy Land.

Many of my readers refuse to buy into the supposition that we will be eye-witnesses to the cataclysmic events predicted by Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and other OT prophets, and THAT'S OKAY. What will happen, will happen. It is all on God's timeline, not mine. Just remember that Daniel spoke of the exact year in which the Messiah would be cut off. No one listened, yet it happened just as it was written. That being said, I refuse to set dates or do anything other than speculate as to when the events of Psalm 83, Isaiah 17, Jeremiah 12, Ezekiel 25, and Ezekiel 38 and 39 will actually take place. All we can see is what is on the horizon. However, please remember that the horizon can be deceptive. Before the huge backdrop called time, what may appear to be far away could actually be right in front of us, and I believe that to be the case. But if prophetic fulfillment is further down the road, well, that's okay. We still have an excessive amount of work to do to get the good word of Christ to as many people as possible. This is what we are about whether prophetic fulfillment is upon us or not.

That being said, I thought the following piece by Barry Rubin in the Jerusalem Post might give you insight into the complexities of bringing about a peace between Israel and the Palestinians (and the greater Arab world). In my view, what Mr. Rubin opines simply re-affirms that Israel will soon sense a terrible threat to its existence and will be forced to strike. Peace will come, but according to Psalm 83, Isaiah 17, Jeremiah 12, Ezekiel 25, and Obadiah 15-18, peace will come at the hands of a sword in Israel's hand. Again, I speculate that the trigger to this series of events will be an attack against Iran's nuclear facilities. Iran is vulnerable....Russia has delayed shipment of its latest S-300 anti-aircraft missiles. If Israel, or in a rare-case scenario the United States, should choose to attack those sites soon, the first step to the Gog-Magog War of Ezekiel 38 and 39 could be right before us.

Read Mr. Rubin's article and draw your own conclusions...just remember to state focused on the Scriptures.

The Region: Sacrificing Peace for Propaganda Points

By BARRY RUBIN

Should the Palestinian Authority be the main advocate pushing acceptance of the bizarre Goldstone Report in order to demonize Israel at the UN, or might it just stand aside and let a couple of dozen Arab and Muslim-majority states take the lead in doing so? This is - or should be - a minor issue, but it has escalated to push the real barrier to solving the Arab-Israeli conflict into everyone's face once again.

When the US government asked the PA not to be the main sponsor in demanding UN sanctions against Israel, the Palestinian leadership agreed for a few hours. But then, unable to resist flaunting its radicalism and obstructionism, it double-crossed the United States. This step further sabotaged President Barack Obama's efforts to advance the peace process, seemingly his No. 1 international priority.

The Palestinian leadership is once again shooting itself in the foot. It is throwing away a real opportunity for a state; it is sabotaging its relationship with Western patrons.

HOW TO explain this apparent perverseness, which former foreign minister Abba Eban once called "never missing an opportunity to miss an opportunity"? The answer is simple: When it comes down to a choice between continuing the conflict and trying to win a total victory that wipes Israel off the map, or making peace and getting a state, the Palestinian leadership always chooses the former.

And when it comes to choosing between being a bit more moderate and gaining Western support, or being demagogically radical and appealing to the most radical forces, the Palestinian leadership chooses the latter. The Fatah-dominated PA doesn't want peace with Israel; it prefers peace with Hamas, its rival that not only murders and tortures Fatah people but - one more irony - is the main beneficiary of the Goldstone Report.

Wishful thinkers beware! Reality is once again battering down your door.

The Obama administration is trying to make peace and wants the PA's cooperation. If the UN goes ballistic and now bashes Israel as an evil, illegitimate war criminal - on the basis of Hamas propaganda, no less, which is all the Goldstone commission really purveys - this will not help the cause of peace and will wreck US policy. Israel will reject more concessions; Arab states will have another rationale for not making peace and will demand that the world punish Israel with sanctions or even extinction.

The Obama administration basically said to the PA: "Look, we're getting you lots of money and diplomatic help on the basis of the idea that you want peace. No president in history has ever been more sympathetic and supportive of you. So stand aside on this issue for a few days. Do us this little favor." But this is too much for the PA, which now faces protests and criticism at home for daring to make a small tactical concession that has no practical implication.

If the PA cannot even refrain from this kind of behavior because of internal dissension and popular pressure, can anyone expect it to compromise on territory, security measures, an end to the conflict, and the settlement of all Palestinian refugees in Palestine? Think about that one for five minutes, please.

THIS IS at least the fourth time in the short, nine-month history of the new administration that the Palestinians and Arab states have done this to Obama.
Before the latest development:

• PA leader Mahmoud Abbas arrived in Washington for his first trip and said he had no intention of compromising on anything, but would just wait until the United States delivered an Israel that had to give up everything.
• Abbas refused to negotiate with Israel unless its completely froze construction on all settlements, with no exceptions, despite Obama's desperate efforts to get talks going.
• Arab states that were asked to make small confidence-building steps toward Israel to help the president said, "No!"

So much for Obama's apologies, his Cairo and UN speeches, strong words of support for the Palestinians (the people supposedly in an intolerable situation and desperate for a state), and his panegyrics for Islam. Flattery, Mr. President, will get you nowhere.

This strategy merely feeds the fires of radicalism. Unfortunately, the peace process of the 1990s and the Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip in 2005 did the same thing. More concessions breed more violence; more apologies deliver more demands. Remember that the peace process ended when then PA leader Yasser Arafat refused a state, along with more than $23 billion in aid. Remember that the Palestinians, handed all of the Gaza Strip, made it a launching pad for rockets aimed at Israel, instead of making it a model for launching peace. Remember that when the Bush administration was trying to be supportive, the PA made a deal through Hizbullah with Iran to bring in massive amounts of arms on a ship. Discovering how the PA had lied turned that administration against them. Remember that in 1989, when the United States initiated a dialogue with the PLO on the basis of its stopping terrorism, the organization instead dispatched a terrorist unit to gun down civilians on a Tel Aviv beach. This action led to the end of the dialogue.

WAKE UP, people. Peace would be preferable if possible. Peace is a beautiful dream. But that dream keeps getting interrupted by recurring nightmares.
Those who lead nations and are responsible for the lives and welfare of their people, those whose duty is to inform the people, and those who speak out publicly have a duty to cast aside wishful thinking and face the truth, as demonstrated by numerous examples and historical experience:
• Israeli-Palestinian peace is still a long way off.
• The PA is unwilling and incapable of making peace.
• Weakness in dealing with this issue breeds contempt; concessions create more violence and extremism.
• A responsible policy is one that maximizes stability by keeping Hamas from taking over the West Bank and brings down its rule in the Gaza Strip; minimizes violence by supporting Israel's right to self-defense; and does the utmost to raise the standard of living of Palestinians.
As for Obama and the European leaders, you've had the experience; now learn the lessons.

There you have it....chew on that for awile.

Turkey (Gomer) Becomes Increasingly Contentious Toward Israel

Two developments make the grade in our continuing watchfulness of current events. The first has not yet been widely reported, but it involves the Taliban.
As you recall, this week President Obama made it clear that he sees a role for the Taliban in a newly shaped Afghanistan government. (See most recent post.) These are the same cutthroats who gave safe haven to Al Quaeda as they prepared to perpetrate the terror of 9-11. The Taliban are at the center of US efforts in Afghanistan right along with Al Quaeda. Today, Taliban forces that are holed up in Pakistan attacked a military base near Pakistan's nuclear arsenals in Kamra and Kohat. The Taliban's audacious invasion of the base could very well serve to severe the bulk of the Pakistani military from its nukes. Of course, having a nuclear arsenal in the hands of Obama's would-be friends is an absolute worse case scenario.
In other news, Turkey has stepped up its contentous behaviour toward Israel. At one time, these two countries were friends. However, after Turkey's election a radical leaning President, that friendship has shriveled quite rapidly. As you recall, Turkey is listed in the anti-Israeli coalition of Ezekiel 38 and 39. The fact that Turkey has stepped up its enmity is just another in a long line of signals that the Gog/Magog war is fast approaching. (Read previous posts to see the sequence of wars.) The following is from today's Jerusalem post and is quite enlightening as to Turkey's attitude.
Turkey drops joint air force drill due to IAF participation
By YAAKOV KATZ

In another sign of continued tensions between Ankara and Jerusalem, the Turkish military canceled a planned joint exercise with the Israel Air Force scheduled for this week, The Jerusalem Post has learned.

Defense officials told the Post that Turkey informed Israel of the cancellation of the Anatolian Eagle exercise last week, which was to also include US, Italian and
NATO forces, saying this was because the planes that Israel was going to send likely bombed Hamas targets during Operation Cast Lead in the Gaza Strip earlier this year.

According to reports over the weekend in the Turkish press, Ankara decided last week to cancel international participation in the annual air force exercise, in which Israel has taken part in several times in the past. The reports claimed that the move was aimed specifically at preventing the Israel Air Force from participating, an idea confirmed by the IDF Spokesman's Office on Saturday night.

"The exercise was postponed due to a Turkish decision to change the composition of the participants and not allow the Israel Air Force to participate, a decision we were informed of only several days ago," read a statement from the IDF Spokesman's Office.
On Thursday, the Turkish military issued a statement saying, "Anatolian Eagle Exercise will be executed as planned between October 12-23, [but] multinational participation is postponed."
Israeli defense officials confirmed that the cancellation was connected to tension between Jerusalem and Ankara that was sparked by Operation Cast Lead.

"Ties between the countries are still tense," explained one defense official. "The announcement about the cancellation was sudden and unexpected." Anatolian Eagle was first held in 2001, with Turkish, Israeli and American participation. The drill lasted almost two weeks and included Israeli F-16s, helicopters and refueling tankers. Israel last participated in the exercise in September 2008, but has not flown in Turkey since Operation Cast Lead, due to the increase in tensions.

Israel's absence from the last Anatolian Eagle exercise in June drew headlines in Turkey. Israeli officials said at the time that the IAF would participate in the upcoming exercise scheduled for October.

They Acutally Trust Obama's Peace Efforts? Don't Hold Your Breath

It was an amazing pow wow. American Envoy to the Middle-East, George Mitchell, sat down with Ehud Barak, Foreign Minister Lieberman, and Shimon Perez. Time to re-start (for the third time in nine months) the Obama plan.
Of course, that plan is to divide Jerusalem, divide Israel by giving contiguous borders to a new Palestinian State, and give up the call for the Palestinians to finally acknowledge that Israel has te right to exist. Next, the President will be calling for the nuclear disarmament of Israel. And then Israeli President Shimon Perez made this statement:

According to the president's office, Peres said that Israel had full faith in the policies of US President Barack Obama, who he said was trying to advance peace in an extremely fair way by listening to both sides and trying to find a common denominator.
Don't believe it. Polls in Israel show than only 17 percent of the population believes that Barack Obama has Israel's best interest in mind. Want proof that the President's idea of making peace is skewered in....dare I say it....foolishness. My case in point? Afghanistan. It was released today by the White House Press Secretary that President Obama now believes the Taliban, yes the same people dedicated to domination by use of Sharia Law, the same people who gave save harbor and help to Al Quaeda as they planned 9-11, the same people who are today killing American soldiers. Obama delay's sending more troops and decides to bring in the bad guys. (And if you actually believe the Taliban has any interest beyond dominating through violence, you need to go back and do your homework.)
Amazingly, the Bible has predicted all of this....maybe not point by point, but the general mind-set of our leadership. "Professing themselves to be wise, they have become fools!"
No, I really do not believe that the leadership in Israel actually trust Obama's peace plan or his leadership. They are going through the motions...biding their time....waiting for something to break their way. I'm afraid their won't be much that will. In the meantime, remember that we are on the verge of seeing awesome events that will break loose an incredible openness to the gospel. Be ready. Be prayed up. It is coming.

New Developments in the Middle East

Two interesting developments in the continuing saga of the Middle East have found their way to the light today. The first involves two important nations that have had major diplomatic blockages, but both are listed in the Psalm 83 prophecies. As you recall, Psalm 83 and Isaiah 17 list names of nations that will become allied in a war against Israel. Saudi Arabia (Ishmaelites), Syria (Amon & Amalek), Lebanon (Gebal, Tyre, Asshur), Jordan (Moab and Edom), and Egypt (the Hagrites) unite to threaten the Israeli's. We know what will happen according to Psalm 83, Jeremiah 12, Ezekiel 25, and Obadiah 15-18; God will use the hand of his people Israel to destroy the attacking nations. I momentary period of security will result, and then the Gog/Magog coalition of Russia, Turkey, Iran, Libya, and the Sudan will descend to the mountains of Israel. For any of this to happen, a long-standing enmity between the Saudis and the Syrians must be resolved. Read this short piece from Ynet News.
Saudi king seeks to mend rift with Syria
10.07.09, 15:49 /
Israel News

The Saudi monarch has arrived in Damascus for a highly significant visit that is the strongest indication yet of thawing relations between the two rival nations following years of tension.
King Abdulla's visit on Wednesday is the first by a Saudi ruler since the 2005 assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, a close Saudi ally. The two Arab countries have also been at odds over several regional issues, including Syria's close ties with the Shiite Iran. They have recently made moves toward a rapprochement with three meetings between Abdullah and Syrian President Bashar Assad in the past two years. (AP)
That's not all.
This from the Jerusalem Post
'US may be planning to bomb Iran'
By JPOST.COM STAFF

The US could be in the process of accelerating provisions for a possible attack on Iran, according to an ABC News report published Tuesday.

The report cited a recent Pentagon decision to push for funding to build a "gargantuan bunker-busting bomb called the Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP)," originally planned for use in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Pentagon's 2009 request, which was approved last week, was published by ABC, as well as the previous 2007 request.

To explain why the bomb was needed at this juncture, the Pentagon only said, "The Department has an Urgent Operational Need (UON) for the capability to strike hard and deeply buried targets in high threat environments. The MOP is the weapon of choice to meet the requirements of the UON." ABC noted that the departments which requested the MOP had responsibility over North Korea and Iran.

The report also stated that this weapon would be "ideally suited" for a strike on Iran's uranium enrichment plant at Natanz, or the recently revealed plant at Qom.

US aerospace manufacturer and defense contractor McDonnell Douglas received a $51.9 million contract to build the four MOPs, the report said.
My Opinion
I believe it is highly unlikely that the Obama Administration will actually do anything at all about Iran, but this article does beg the question: "What would happen if the US were to attack Iran instead of waiting for Israel to do it?"
If that ends up being the case, absolutely nothing would change in regards to the coming Psalm 83 war. The Muslim population would still blame Israel. They would continue to ratchet up their attempts to do harm to the Jews and to Americans. Terrorism will increase whether we attack Iran or sit on the sidelines and watch. As it stands, President Obama believes he has won a great victory in forcing Iran to allow inspectors into the unfinished Quom nuclear facility. He will be content to keep talking....That is what he does best....in fact, that is all he does.
I would be the first to stand up and cheer if the American military were to blow the smithereens out of a couple of Iranian hillsides. However, it will not change the course of events that will eventually lead to the fulfillment of Ezekiel 38 and 39. It might slow things down, but then again, it might speed things up.
In the meantime, we should be seeking a new outpouring of boldness and power that comes as the Messiah pours out his Spirit in a latter rain deluge. People are afraid. Everyone knows something is about to happen. Now is the time to be the witness Jesus calls us to be. Go for it!

A True Story Yet to Happen

by Jimmy Root Jr
Author of the following is known only as Jenny

As I put to paper what I’ve seen and heard, I confess I cannot control the trembling of my hands. Every corpuscle in my body is overflowing with fear. I barely have the ability to slow my racing mind. I cannot for the life of me determine where I should turn for help. Everyone I’ve encountered has the same problem as I. I am scared to death. This is what I have so far.

I arrived at my cubicle just before 7:00 this morning, filled my mug from the office coffee pot, and went to my station to begin the preparing for my shift at the board. Time never stops at the 911 Emergency dispatch offices, at least not until this morning.

At exactly 7:01, I sat up and glanced across the divider toward the desk of Tom, a fellow operator. Tom had not arrived. That was unusual as the man was punctual to a fault. I’d asked him about it once, and his response was odd. “Just being the best I can for my master,” he smiled. I chose not to pursue his statement simply because it sounded like something out of my past, something boorishly religious I’d learned in Sunday School, something I had no use for. I smiled at the thought that Tom’s religious sentiment had suddenly lost its value.

And then, with a horror I haven’t been able to shake, all hell began to break loose around me, around the world.

I saw it happen. Looking out my fifth floor window, I saw it happen. A small plane, a Cessna I think, nosed into the building across the street. At the same instant, someone stepped off the elevator at the end of the hall and screamed.

It was hard to take my eyes off the burgeoning fireball, but the scream was shrill and terror-filled. It was Angela, an operator who worked four monitors over. She’d turned white. Her hands where pulling at her own hair and her shrieks were matching her exhalation of breath.

Instinct drove me down the aisle and to Angela’s side. Most everyone had gone to the window. Some were looking up, some down, but everyone’s attention was drawn to what was happening outside.

My attempt to calm Angela failed at first. She would not allow me to pull her hands away from her hair. Though I was right in her face, she wouldn’t lock onto me with her eyes. They were far off, seeing into some black hole I could not fathom. She just kept screaming.

I finally had enough. My heart was racing and my eardrums were being pierced, so I gripped the woman by the shoulders and shook her until she snapped out it.

“Angela! What is wrong?” I shouted. I got nothing, so I shouted again, louder this time.

She finally looked me in the eye. “He vanished,” was all she could muster.

Then I saw panic well up. She scanned the floor around the immediate area until she spotted a small trash receptacle. She let go of her hair as she scooted to the can. She dove onto the floor and wretched into it over and over again. When the fit was over I settled in beside her. I had to ask. “Who vanished, Angela? Who vanished?”

She wiped her mouth with the side her hand and whispered, “Tom. We were on our way up, talking and laughing. Jenny, he just disappeared.”

“What?” I said as I glanced toward the elevator. The door was still open, and no one was inside.

“Are you sure?” That’s when I saw a pile of clothes, a wallet, a cell phone.

Every line on every console began to buzz. Operators who’d been lined up at the windows began to rush to stop the cacophony of tones, but the chaos only converted from switchboards buzzing to voices raised in disbelief. Every face I scanned registered one level of shock or another.

Then the monitor Tom was supposed to be manning lit up. I ran and slammed a headphone to my ear.

“Jenny Johnson,” my voice cracked. I looked up at the clock instinctively. The habit of registering the minute of every call was ingrained. The time was 7:05 a.m. The call emanated City General Hospital.

“My God, oh God,” was all the man would say.

Training kicked in. “Sir, calm down. What is the state of your emergency.”

Nothing. I repeated.

“What is happening?” he asked.

“Sir, you are the one with the emergency,” I responded with growing fear.

“No, you’ve got to tell me what is happening!”

“Sir, who are you and what is your name?” I tried to jar his thinking back to reality.

“Uh, what?” he stammered. “Oh....this is Ben Fisher. I’m a surgeon here at the hospital.”

“Tell me what’s wrong Ben.”

The doctor paused and evidently collected himself a bit. His voice was stronger and his words more directed. “I don’t even know what help I need,” he started, “you’re not going to believe what just happened.”

“Ben, just tell me. Slow down and tell me,” I tried to encourage.

“We were right in the middle of an appendectomy. I had just refocused my lens to take out the organ and bam, there was suddenly no body. My God, she disappeared.”

I said nothing. I couldn’t. I looked over at Angela still lying on the floor hugging the bucket.

“Did you hear me? The woman vanished into thin air. So did three of my nurses and the anesthetist,” his voice was rising in crescendo. “One second they were all there. The next, woosh…gone…just like that. What happened?” he shouted.

I had no answer. Voices were chattering all around me. Sirens were sounding in the streets. I felt the concussion of an explosion from across the street. And then climbing tone of an air raid siren, something I hadn’t heard since I was a girl, began to wail.

Now, at the end of a day like no other, I write in this journal what I’ve found. In the wake of planes crashing, thousands of traffic accidents, and mass hysteria, one common denominator stands out. Hundreds of thousands of people around the world have disappeared. I have come to the conclusion that the world has ending and I want no part of it.

If you are reading these words, know that I did not die in peace. There is no peace. Peace is non-existent. I die by my own hands before something worse comes upon me, upon the planet.
Goodbye.

Post Script
“Then two men will be in the field; one will be taken and one left. Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one left. Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.” Jesus (Matthew 24:40-41)

The story you have just read is true. It has not yet taken place, but it will. The heart of this writer was not ready for what took place. But for those of you who are longing to see the appearance of your Master, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, the news is only good.

“Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep in death, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall all be changed.” I Cor. 15:51-52

“For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words. For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep (in death) we might live with him.” 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18, 5:9)

A Few Things to Remember

1. God is really in control of the events of the world, the nations, and the world’s leaders. They may arrogantly mock Him, but he is orchestrating every current event.

2. Whether you believe it or not, Jesus is returning for those who belong to him. They are called his inheritance. You must be a part of that inheritance, or your story will be similar to the one you just read.

3. You can never be good enough to make it to heaven. That is why we all needed someone else to do the job for us. His name is Jesus. He wasn’t a good moral teacher. He wasn’t just a prophet. He is the living Son of God who died to redeem anyone who would ask.

4. Once the events portrayed actually take place, all Hell WILL break out on the earth. You do not want to be here. I repeat, you do NOT want to be here.

5. Trust in someone bigger than you. Put your trust in the one who loved you enough to pay for all your mistakes and failures…called sin! His gift is free to all who will receive it. Believe me, you WANT to receive this gift. Just ask him to forgive you, make you new, and then turn and follow him instead of yourself.

5. Stated that America is no longer only a Christian, but also a Muslim nation.

6. Pressured Israel to freeze all settlement expansions in the West Bank.

7. Refused to give a green light for Israel to attack Iran.

8. Allowed Iran to continue the development of it’s nuclear program.

9. Authorized non-Hebrew translated roadside signs in the West Bank.

10. Equated the 1967 war in which Israel was attacked with an occupation.

11. Called Israel to agree to a Palestinian state with CONTIGUOUS borders from Gaza to the

West Bank.

Informative OpEd by Barry Rubin

This editorial appeared in today's Jerusalem Post. It reaffirms my opinion that all the recent meeting with Iran accomplished was another long series of delays in dealing with Iran's nuclear ambitions. It is also being widely reported that Iran now has the know-how to actually build a nuclear device. Add to that the intelligence assessments being made by the Mos'sad, Israel's spy organization that says Iran now has enough enriched uranium to construct a weapon, and we have serious problems staring us in the face.

French President Sarkhozy took Obama to the woodshed on September 25th by calling his view of the world "naive." It is not only childish, it is anti-Israeli, anti-Biblical, and downright dangerous.
The accidental unfiltered words of Joe Biden may soon find their fulfillment. During the campaign he commented that Obama would be tested in the first few months of his presidency, and that it might appear that he'd made the wrong decisions during that coming conflict. Uh-oh. It sure looks like the test is coming.....not from Iran, but from Israel. Why? Because Israel is about to step out and do what America will not....DEAL WITH IRAN. Obama's wrong decision will be to fully chastise and reject the Jewish Nation. (double uh-oh!)

READ these words by someone who actually sees through the foolishness.
The president, Iran and the 'or else' factor
By BARRY RUBIN

It is widely claimed that the meeting in Geneva last week between the US - along with Russia, China, France, Britain and Germany - and Iran obtained three great achievements toward ending the Iranian nuclear campaign.

The first point was that the talks were conducted in a polite and civil manner; the Iranian delegates did not shout slogans nor throw shoes at the Americans. This is absurd. With typically short memories, observers forget that Iran conducted years of serious talks with all the participants except the United States. But of course these talks were used to stall for time and divide the foreign opposition. Any commitments made were promptly broken.

What's amusing is that this point reveals how, behind the screen of political correctness, it is considered a revelation that Iranians don't act like stereotyped savages. In fact, Iran has a long and successful history of diplomacy imbued in its political culture. And of course the regime has a vested interest in not engaging in footwear-throwing at the meeting. After all, in every other venue it can continue its ideological extremism, repression, and terror-sponsoring.

The second alleged success is equally hollow. Iran agreed to allow inspections of its hitherto hidden enrichment facility. Again, memories are short. In fact, the Iranian government announced that it would do so before the meeting in the same statement where it admitted the facility existed.

Let's consider the situation. For four years, Iran built and kept hidden the Qom enrichment plant. This is in complete violation of Iran's treaty commitments and is one more definitive proof - as if another was needed - that Teheran is seeking nuclear weapons ASAP. Finally, though, Iran got caught. So it basically said: in exchange for keeping this facility and for no punishment for building it, we will allow you to do inspections. This is a clever maneuver, not a huge concession and can be considered a victory for Iran.

Thirdly, Iran has agreed in principle to send much of its nuclear fuel from the Natanz enrichment plant - the one we've known about - to Russia where it will be further enriched and then to France to be converted into fuel, making it far less suitable for weapons production.
But guess what? The Iranian ambassador to Britain has denied that Iran agreed to turn over the nuclear fuel. And this has not even been reported in the Iranian media yet. Iran is getting
credit for a concession that it has not even made yet and probably doesn't intend to make!

THE ACCOUNT we are getting of the meeting's significance is too good to be true. After all, one must take into context the nature and ideology behind the Teheran regime as well as its immediate need to consolidate power at home and defuse pressure from abroad. If ever there was a situation that seemed ripe for trickery this is it. To believe that Iran is ready to sincerely give up its nuclear fuel which can be used to make atomic weapons, you have to conclude that the regime's goal all along was to build nuclear energy power plants, not weapons of mass destruction.

From Teheran's viewpoint, in just seven hours of talks it made the threat of sanctions go away for months without taking any significant action. Indeed, Iran and those it met with have a common interest: to make the public and confrontational aspects of the problem go away.
US officials said that the issue of repression in Iran was raised at the meeting but that sanctions were barely brought up. Of course, the Iranians knew all about the sanctions already but the point here is that the tone of the meeting was to downplay pressure and to give Iran a chance to "go straight."

Obama's response to this matter shows his strategy. He will support Iran doing reprocessing in exchange for the regime pursuing a peaceful nuclear energy option. Remember that this is what Iran has insisted it has been doing the whole time and will go on insisting until the day that nuclear weapons are obtained. Obama - to use current jargon - is empowering the Iranian narrative.

What this may well amount to is a plea: Fool us, do a more persuasive job of covering over your project without actually doing so. That's not, of course, what Obama and other Western leaders intend. Obama created a framework for resolving the issue by affirming that all nations have the right to peaceful nuclear power as long as they stick by the rules of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. By making clear his commitment for all countries in the world to get rid of nuclear weapons he united the international community behind him. That is what made the Geneva meeting possible.

Obama then presented demands: Iran must allow inspections of the Qom facility, which it has agreed to do and it must build confidence that it is only seeking peaceful nuclear energy - by transferring the uranium to Russia for reprocessing. He is thus giving Iran a face-saving way out: keep your program but don't build nuclear weapons.

Meanwhile, sanctions are off the table and Iran will be able to talk for months about the details of the Russia reprocessing deal.

In a separate but related story, the Iranian automaker Khodro announced a deal with the French company Peugeot to make cars for export. Khodro also has such deals with Mercedes-Benz and Suzuki. It doesn't sound like Iranians are worried about being isolated internationally.
After the Geneva meeting, they don't need to be.

Thanks for reading.

Top Ten Reasons Chicago Lost the Olympics

Okay, just a little humor in our mad, mad world.

10. Dead people can't vote at IOC meetings
9. Obama distracted by 25 min meeting with Gen. McChrystal
8. Who cares if Obama couldn't talk the IOC into Chicago? He'll be able to talk Iran

out of nukes.
7. The impediment is Israel still building settlements.
6. Obviously no president would have been able to accomplish it.
5. We've been quite clear and said all along that we didn't want the Olympics.
4. This isn't about the number of Olympics "lost", it's about the number of Olympics

"saved" or "created".
3. Clearly not enough wise Latina judges on the committee
2. Because the IOC is racist.
1. It's George Bush's fault.

Israel in Now Pinched Between Action and Thumb-Twiddling

Here's something to chew on. US President Barack Obama characterized Thursday's landmark meeting with Iran as a "constructive beginning," following Iran's apparent agreement to open its nuclear facilities to inspection, to meet again later in the month and in principle to have a third party provide it with nuclear energy.

Now just back up the wagon a second! These talks have been going on for ten years This isn't a constructive beginning. It is another masterful delay. Not only has this little 'sit down' with Iran cost valuable time in setting up, it has designed several more 'feet-dragging' steps into the process.

Worse, as the President tooted his own horn for bringing about this historic meeting he also demonstrated his talent for vibrato. He then said, "we're not interested in talking for the sake of talking," and warned that "if Iran does not take steps in the near future to live up to its obligations, then the United States will not continue to negotiate indefinitely, and we are prepared to move toward increased pressure. Iran will have two weeks to follow through" on the commitments Western officials announced following the seven-way Geneva meetings.
TWO WEEKS OR WHAT? Will we attack? "Nah, we'll call another meeting so we can sit down and talk for the sake of talking." In Obama's world, talk is everything. "And if thhhose bad boytthhh don't put away their weaponstthtt, why I'm gonna go back to the UN and tell them whosttthhhe bostthhh!"
In the meantime, Israel sits on the sideline and looks at its watch. The seconds are ticking by before they are forced to do something. The problem is now, if Israel attempts to stop Iran's nuclear ambitions with military power, President Obama has positioned himself to be justifiably incensed. "Why did you do that?" he will say. "We had them right where we want them. We were talking to those guys!" (Of course, he will be able to say it in much more flowery terms than I.)
Israel is now pinched between survival, and the ill will of the entire world. Which do you think they will choose to defend.... survival....or a nice image in the eyes of the nations?

Don't let this little sitdown make you take your eyes off the truth. All that has transpired is the further separation of Israel from the rest of humanity. It is now damned if it does, and damned if it doesn't....thanks to our illustrious and naive President. But even then, the truth remains. What is taking place has been ordained, and is being manipulated by God Almighty.
Why? Because in half the world of man, like in the days of Babel, hamanity has set itself up as the ultimate source of divinity. In the other half, Allah has been designated the one true god. God will not be mocked. A showdown with both ideologies is rapidly approaching.

In The News This Week...So Far

Every day now there seems to be another addition to the continuing march toward war in the Middle-East. I am not alarmed! Hey, it's all been predicted....pre-written by God. What encourages me about the eventual fulfillment of the Gog and Magog War from Ezekiel 38 and 39 is that I wholeheartedly believe it will usher in the great Latter Rain spoken of by the prophet Joel. Wisdom tells us we should not be cowered down in fear, but be living with our hearts open for a flood of the Spirit of God. And REMEMBER, we are only passing through. Our loyalty is only to the Kingdom of God. Yes, I love my country, but my country is slipping away. The only thing that will last is the Kingdom.... Therefore, I pledge allegiance to the King....
Events:
Netanyahu gives a magnificent, moving speech to the United Nations...that after President Obama's self-deification before the same body. hmm
President Obama reveals the "newly-discovered" Qom nuclear site in Iran. Of course, it was then discovered that Obama has known about it for some time, including those days when people were losing their lives at the hands of Iran's radical regime. Obama said nothing about either during the post-Iranian-election uproar.
Obama threatens Iran with greater sanctions...then promptly boards Airforce One for Denmark. It was imperative that he be the first President to ever speak to the Olympic Site Selection Committee! How Awesome is He!
Iran responded to Obama's diplomatic threat by launching the new Sahab-3 missile successfully. Tipped with a nuclear warhead, the Sahab-3 could hit Israel......AND EASTERN EUROPE where there is no missile shield. $%^&*
French President Nicolas Sarkhozy calls President Obama and his view of the world NAIVE! Way to go Nick! You said what most of us are thinking...all in your own French way.
Afghanistan General has trouble getting a return call from the White House and goes on 60 Minutes to state his case. Uh-oh.... again...Obama went to Denmark.
School Children learn to sing Obama's Praises. Christianity is banned, but Obama is Glorified. He really must be the messiah.... NOT (Sorry, sarcasm got the best of me. I apologize...NOT)
In the meantime, Christianity Today (October 2009) put out this article on the state of Evangelicalism in America. Here are the basic tenants held by most teens and young adult Evangelicals. (Survey conducted by Smith and Denton)
1. A God exists who created and orders the world and watches over human life on earth.
2. God wants people to be good, nice, and fair to each other, as taught in the Bible and by most world religions.
3. The central goal of life is to be happy and to feel good about oneself.
4. God does not need to be particularly involved in one's life except when God is needed to resolve a problem.
5. Good people go to heaven when they die.
That ought to excite you about the state of Christianity in America! Now, read this article and see how Israel is playing the game with Obama and Ahmadinijad.
Israeli cries of "hold me back" may lead to Iran strike
Aluf Benn: Haaretz Daily

In a succinct analysis, Haaretz's chief military correspondent examines to the pros and cons of Israel's strategic options vis-a-vis Iran. But the dynamic may leave the country with no choice. So far Israel has chosen the alternative - preventive diplomatic steps. Advocates of this approach say that it has succeeded in delaying the Iranian bomb by a few years at a low diplomatic and security cost to Israel. Yet its usefulness is gradually eroding as Iran gets closer to the bomb. Under these circumstances, Israel is trying to show that its patience is wearing thin. It is trying to persuade others that if "the world" does not act, it will embark on war against Iran on its own. To strengthen the credibility of the message "Hold me back," a strike force has been amassed while the military preparations are being reported in the foreign press with unprecedented frequency. The force buildup is also important for deterrent purposes in the event Iran obtains nuclear weapons, the Americans attack its nuclear installations and Israel bears the brunt of a counterattack.
Yet as the buildup continues, the temptation to use force grows. As Israel becomes more self-confident, its rhetoric escalates and the domestic pressure "to show them" - or as the prime minister likes to say, "not to come out suckers" in light of the infuriating, incendiary speeches of Iran's president - swells. This is the Iranian paradox: Creating an offensive option does not widen the government's room to maneuver. Rather, it narrows it while pushing Israel to abandon the preventive strategy and to attack.
In recent months, it seems Israel's preventive strategy is paying dividends. The Iranian regime has lost some of its strength following the rigged presidential election and subsequent repression of the opposition, while Obama has taken a tougher public stance against Iran. It is in Israel's interest to see both trends gain momentum - Iran's weakening and America's determination. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's challenge in the coming months will be to withstand the burgeoning pressures to attack Iran, keep his composure and not become frightened at his own speeches warning of "a second Holocaust" while adhering to the preventive strategy. This is the most effective way, one that will give incentive to the West to rein in the Iranians without risking harm to Israel.

WOW! BUCKLE YOUR PROPHETIC SEAT BELT....I prognosticate that we are only a few weeks away from Israel's attack on Iran. I could be wrong, of course, so no picking up stones.

Obama Tyring To Stop Israel, Not Iran

Too late to stop Tehran, Obama aims to stifle an Israeli attack
DEBKAfile Special Analysis
September 26, 2009

Maestro Barack Obama's histrionics in New York and Pittsburgh Thursday and Friday, Sept. 24-25 - and his threat of "confrontation" for Iran's concealment of its nuclear capabilities - were water off a duck's back for Tehran, whose nuclear weapons program has gone too far to stop by words or even sanctions. The Islamic regime only responded with more defiance, announcing that its second uranium enrichment plant near Qom would become operational soon.

The US president's tough words and willingness to step out of his axiomatic insistence on dialogue and turn to economic warfare against Iran may be impressive but it is no longer effective. Tehran is too close to its goal of a nuclear weapons capability to be deterred by offers of engagement or economic penalties.

Obama certainly knows this. He also understands that Iran is now unstoppable except by force. His performance was therefore directed at another target: Israel, whom he is determined to dissuade from resorting to military action against Iran's nuclear installations.
Defense secretary Robert Gates hit the nail on the head when he said Friday: "The reality is there is no military option that does anything more than buy time. The estimates are one to three years or so."

Iran was allowed to reach the point defined by Gates thanks to the permissiveness of two US presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton and two Israeli prime ministers, Ariel Sharon and Ehud Olmert. They had no illusions about the deterrent value of the three sets of UN Security sanctions imposed to punish Iran, but held back from pre-emptive action on the pretext that there was still plenty of time before Iran was in a position to destroy Israel.

In any case, Israeli leaders argued, Iran's nuclear ambitions were a threat to the whole world and it was therefore incumbent on the "international community" to take care of them.
This of course did not happen. Iran carried on exploiting international inaction, finally capitalizing on Obama's foot-dragging in his first nine months in office.

By now, Iran has used the gift of time to process enough enriched uranium to fuel two nuclear bombs and is able to produce another two per year. Its advanced medium-range missiles will be ready to deliver nuclear warheads by next year. Detonators for nuclear bombs are in production at two secret sites.

And finally, a second secret uranium enrichment plant - subject of the stern warning issued collectively in Pittsburgh Friday by Obama, French president Nicolas Sarkozy and British premier Gordon Brown - has come to light, buried under a mountain near Qom. Its discovery doubles - at least - all previous estimates of Iran's nuclear capabilities.

Caught red-handed yet again in massive deceit, the Iranian president Mahdmoud Ahmadinejad had only more defiance to offer. America owes his government an apology, he told interviewers in New York Friday, because the new plant would not be operational for 18 months, and Tehran had therefore not violated International Atomic Energy Agency rules requiring notification.
He was soon caught in another lie.

Saturday, the Iranian news agency was informed by an aide of supreme leader Ali Khamenei that "the new plant would become operational soon." Iran's published concealments and deceptions are disquieting enough. But a whole lot more are undoubtedly buried in fat intelligence dossiers on Iran's nuclear program - plutonium production, for instance. The progress made in its plutonium-based weapons program was never mentioned in the stern condemnations of the last few days, except indirectly in a quiet comment from an anonymous Israeli official Friday night.

He said Iran operates on two hourglasses and both were running out fast. He was referring obliquely to the enriched uranium and the plutonium tracks. Sarkozy was clearly thinking about those undiscovered Iranian secrets and evasions when he declared in Pittsburgh:
"Everything - everything must be put on the table now" (at the October 1 meeting of the Six Powers with Iranian negotiators). Obama too urged Iran "to come clean."
All the powers concerned - the US, Russia, France, Germany the UK and even China - have the same information as Israel and are fully aware that Iran has already crossed a number of red lines this year and will cross more in 2010. The more time allowed for diplomacy and engagement, the greater Tehran's defiance. Meanwhile, world powers will argue - not over futile sanctions, but on how to stop Israel, so wasting several more months.

DEBKAfile's sources note that the Gates assessment and the cooling note he injected into the US president's oratory came after Israeli defense minister Ehud Barak visited the Pentagon. The visit clearly did not change Gates' view that the Iranian nuclear program was now too advanced to stop, while the use of force would only gain an interval of up to three years, after which Tehran would pick itself up and start again. Therefore, according to Gates, diplomacy remained the only viable option.

The answer to this argument is simple: It is exactly this approach which gave Iran 11 quiet years to develop its weapons capacity. For Israel and Middle East, a three-year setback is a very long time, a security boon worth great risk, because a) It would be a happy respite from the dark clouds hanging over the country from Iran and also cut back Hamas and Hizballah terrorist capabilities, and b) In the volatile Middle East anything can happen in 36 months. But the US defense secretary believes Israel, like the rest of the world, must accept life under the shadow of a nuclear-armed Iran and make the best of it.

This view is shared by the Kremlin. It was advanced by prime minister Vladimir Putin to Binyamin Netanyahu during his secret trip to Moscow on Sept. 7. According to DEBKAfile's Russian sources, when the Israeli prime minister tried to counter Putin's thesis and explain what restraint meant for Israel, the Russian prime minster became impatient and told his guest to leave.

After that interview, the Israeli government can no longer avoid appreciating that Gates and Putin talk the real talk for Washington and Moscow, while their leaders' moralistic condemnations of Iran are mainly hot air for public consumption and for maneuvering Israel into a position where a military strike would be hard to conceive.

Netanyahu's Sphinx-like silence on the nuclear to-do in the US this week was apt. But it is hard to tell what he is hiding. Will he succumb to the world powers' pressure to sit tight while Iran goes all the way to a military nuclear capability - or face up to it and act?

This is the most important decision of Netanyahu's political life as two-time prime minister of Israel. It will also determine Israel's future.
