Israel Steps Up Its Preparedness

May 31, 2009
JERUSALEM -- Israel began its biggest civil defense drill in the country's history.

The five-day drill, which will include a 90-second siren sounded across the entire nation on Tuesday morning, began Sunday.

The exercise will involve various governmental offices, local authorities, security and rescue teams, the Israeli education establishment and other public and private institutions, according to the IDF Spokesman's Office.

The exercise is aimed at improving Israel's national preparedness by exercising the coordinated operation of its emergency response institutions during emergencies. The exercise will examine the simultaneous functioning of the various institutions in order to highlight possible areas for improvement.

The drill, taking place for the third year in a row and code-named Turning Point 3, will be the most extensive ever held in Israel. The question is why? What does Israeli officials see coming?

Israel has lived with the need for preparedness since it burst into existence on May 14, 1948. It has functioned in a heightened state of alert since it was born. So what gives? While the Obama administration plays politics with the Supreme Court, those who seek the destruction of the West continue to look outward for ways of accomplishing their goals. While Obama cuts the anti missile defense budget by one third, Iran test fires their latest version of an intercontinental missile.

Could it be that Benjamin Netanyahu has finally given up hope that America will do anything other than pressure it to back down and give up land? Is he seeing the hand writing on the wall? Israel is alone. How many more weeks will pass before Netanyahu sends an armada of F-16 Lightning fighters to put a stop to Iran's nuclear progress? And finally, if this is the course that Netanyahu takes, what will Iran's biggest ally do.....how will Russia respond?

The answer to that question is written. Check it out in Ezekiel 38 and 39.

Russia and Iran Strengthen Ties

Already in 2009, there have been several historic agreements made between Russian and Iran. One of those occurred on February 22nd when Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin visited Tehran to sign a particularly ominous treaty. The document binds Russia to respond to any western military attack against Iran with overwhelming force. In other words, Russia is now Iran's big brother.

On first glance, that would be surprising as you consider that Islamic extremists have held nearly the same animus toward Russia as it has toward Israel and the Great Satan, the United States. However, one thing we have learned adds clarity to the direction Russia is going. It is reported that nearly 40% of the Russian Red Army is made up of Muslims. How many of Moscow wants to incite an army coup because of an anti-Islamic stance. The hook is being readied and now awaits the opportunity to be set in Magog's jaw.

Read the following from the Debka Files.

Russia's first Persian Gulf naval presence coordinated with Tehran

Russian warships are due to call Wednesday, May 27, at the Bahrain port of Manama, seat of the US Fifth Fleet in the Persian Gulf, DEBKAfile's military sources reveal. They will be following in the wake of the Russian vessels already docked at the Omani port of Salalah, the first to avail themselves of facilities at Gulf ports.
Their arrival is fully coordinated between the Russian and Iranian naval commands.
According to our sources, this is the first time a Russian flotilla will have taken on provisions and fuel at the same Gulf ports which hitherto serviced only the US Navy. Moscow has thus gained its first maritime foothold in the Persian Gulf.
The flotilla consists of four vessels from Russia's Pacific Fleet: The submarine fighter Admiral Panteleyev is due at Manama Wednesday, escorted by the refueling-supply ship Izhorai, The supply-battleship Irkut and the rescue craft BM-37 are already docked in Salalah.
DEBKAfile's military sources report that the Russians, like the Iranians, cover their stealthy advance into new waters by apparent movements for joining the international task force combating Somali pirates. While Iranian warships have taken up positions in the Gulf of Aden, the Russians are moving naval units southeast into the Persian Gulf.
Monday, May 25, the Iranian naval chief, Adm. Habibollah Sayyari, announced that six Iranian warships had been dispatched to "the international waters" of the Gulf of Aden in a "historically unprecedented move… to show its ability to confront any foreign threats." He did not bother to mention the pirates.
Russian and Iranian naval movements in the two strategic seas are clearly synchronized at the highest levels in Tehran and Moscow.
Our military analysts find Russia and Iran seizing the moment for supplanting positions held exclusively by the US and other western fleets. They are taking advantage of two developments:
1. The number of US warships maintained in the Gulf has been reduced to its lowest level in two years; President Obama quietly reduced their presence near Iran's shores in order to generate a positive atmosphere for the coming US dialogue with the Islamic Republic. Not a single US aircraft carrier is consequently to be found anywhere in the Gulf region.
2. Monday, May 25, President Nicolas Sarkozy inaugurated France's first naval facility in the Gulf in Abu Dhabi. The Russian and Iranian policy-makers see no reason why Moscow cannot set up a military presence in the region if Paris can.

The ties between Russia and Islam are growing stronger by the day. In the meantime, the Obama administration is putting the screws to Israel by demanding a cessation to the expansion of settlements, and forcefully pushing toward a divided Jerusalem. This is all happening while President Obama refuses to do anything beyond an attempt to have a friendly conversation with an Iran that is methodically developing nuclear weapons.

One of the Sad Realities of a Failing America

Former Atlanta Falcons quarterback, Michael Vick, was in the news again this week. In fact, he was in the news on an hourly basis as a crazed sports world took note of his every move after being released from Leavenworth Federal Prison. Vick was in prison after being convicted on aiding and funding illegal dog fighting, a felony crime. Dogs died. Yes, that is sad, cruel, and should be punishable by prison.

However, there is a sad reality behind the story, and here it is. It is illegal to kill a dog in America. Did you hear it? It is illegal to KILL A DOG in the United States of America. If you kill a dog, or abuse and animal, you WILL go to prison! PETA, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, has fronted a campaign that uses all means to make sure animals are protected, even using the Michael Vick conviction to raise millions of dollars. But get this....it is not illegal to kill a baby. You will not go to prison by aborting a baby. It is not a crime. It is encouraged. It is taught. It is now funded in most states. The USA funds abortions in other countries. Most PETA activists are proponents of a woman's right to kill her baby. You can kill a baby in America, but you had better not kill a dog!

Jesus said that in the last days, "the love of most will grow cold." How cold are our hearts when we live in a "Christian" nation and get rabidly upset over the death of a dog, while 60 million children have been aborted in the last thirty plus years? Is it any wonder we feel the hoof beats of the four horses of the apocalypse? They are thundering down on a nation that has turned its back on God. They are approaching the furious level of judgment on a country that is turning its back on God's covenant people. Yet, babies are still dying. At least the dogs are safe.

Prelude to Another Round of Conflict?

Leading up to Lebanese elections on June 7, Hizbullah leader Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah called Friday for unity in the country, and asserted that the terrorist group "cannot be disarmed by force."

Speaking at the the 'Resistance and Liberation Festival,' marking nine years since Israel's withdrawal from southern Lebanon, Nasrallah said that were Hizbullah to win the upcoming election, it would "strengthen and arm the [Lebanese] army, and empower it with defense of Lebanon."
Iran, he added, would "gladly supply it."

In a speech which was broadcast on local television stations and attracted crowds in the hundred thousands over Beirut, he called for "a national unity government, with cooperation based on lessons from the past."

Nasrallah went on to claim that former foreign minister Silvan Shalom had "said that [Israel] would turn the international community against Hizbullah… and place us on their list of terror organizations."

Though Israel remains a on "dangerous challenge" facing the group, he said, "the option of another conflict is still far off… though it does exist."
On the one hand, Iran continues to posture itself as a peaceful seeker of nuclear weapons. On the other, Iran probes and poke, attempting to sucker Israel into attacking the nuclear facilities at Isfahan and Bushehr. Look for Hezbollah to begin a stepped up rocket campaign from southern Lebanon soon. Then we'll see what kind of hutzpah Benjamin Netanyahu really has.

A Quick Note of Encouragement

I was reading in the wonderful Old Testament book of Ezra this morning when the Lord spoke a wonderful word of encouragement, not only to me, but to you.

Ezra relates the story of how Zerubabel and Jeshua had gathered the returned exiles together to re institute the sacrifices and begin rebuilding the temple. A decree had come in the hands of Ezra the Priest from King Cyrus that gave the go ahead. Cyrus had also sent all of the implements of gold and silver that had been stripped from Solomon's temple before it was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar. With the decree in hand, the work began.

But just like it is whenever good begins to happen, the enemies of God and his children stepped in and closed the door. In fact, they slammed the door. A new King had arisen over Persia, and he evidently had no clue as to Cyrus' decree. All the bad guys had to do was sent a honey-filled letter to Xerxes, telling how taxes would dry up and the King's table would be short of food, and boom! Door slammed shut! Work stoppage.....and the work stoppage lasted for some time....until another King rose to the throne. Of course, Darius did a history review and saw the decree. He not only gave permission for Ezra to restart the work, he made the bad guys foot the bill.

It is encouraging to see that God never gets stopped. It may appear that we, his servants, get stopped in our tracks from time to time, as if our overshoes were suddenly filled with concrete. But that is only in appearance. This story reminds me that God's plan goes deeper, is wider, is more active, and will go more places in victory than I have the ability to see or understand. That means I am called at times to stand in my concrete galoshes and wait for God's purpose. No, it doesn't sound glamorous at all. In fact, it can be downright frustrating. But the Lord really does have it all under control. Even it comes to the winding down of the age.

So, hang in there. Or, should I say, STAND FAST! Jesus is doing his thing, and he's coming soon!

New Poll Is Revealing

For those of you who receive Joel C. Rosenberg's FLASH TRAFFIC, you've already seen this. I encourage you to sign up for these alerts if you haven't already done so.

The Poll reveals how the Obama Administration, though elected with a large majority, is out of touch with the views and desires of the nation. This is true on the issue of abortion as well. The latest Gallup poll shows that 54% of Americans now oppose abortion on demand. But is the administration listening? We hear the "No" resounding. It goes the same with Middle East foreign policy. The American people overwhelminly support Israel and want to see Iran confronted on the nuclear program. Is the administration listening? Obviously not.
Read on good friend........then pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and by doing so, you will be praying for continued blessings upon our nation.

NEW POLL EXAMINES AMERICANS' FEARS OF IRAN NUCLEAR THREAT TO U.S. AND ISRAEL
By Joel C. Rosenberg (Washington, D.C., May 22, 2009) -- A fascinating new poll by McLaughlin & Associates finds Americans are deeply and overwhelming concerned about the rising Iranian nuclear threat both to the U.S. and to Israel, and deeply concerned about the potential for Radical Islamic terrorists to acquire nuclear weapons from Iran. The poll also suggests the Obama administration's apparent strategy of backing away from a full-fledged alliance with Israel - and strategy to pressure Israel to make unwise territorial concessions and potentially not defend herself from the Iran threat - could backfire politically, both for the White House and for Members of Congress who sign on to the President's approach. Excerpts: * Nine in ten voters (91%) say that Iran supplying a nuclear umbrella for terrorists is a serious threat to the United States * Seven in ten voters (71%) say the United States will not be safe with a nuclear Iran * Eight in ten voters (80%) say it is likely that Iran will launch a missile attack on Israel * Three in four voters (77%) say it is likely that Iran will use the threat of nuclear attack to provide a shield for Hezbollah and Hamas terrorists to attack Israel * The majority of voters approves of taking several specific actions to discourage the proliferation of nuclear weapons in Iran.

Shake a Finger....Give Away the Store

May 21,2009
Lou Dobbs was beyond irritated, he was irate. A video feed of Iran's latest firing of the Sejil-2, missile, a two-stage, solid-fueled, 2,000 kilometer ranged missile had just been fed on the screen behind him, (CNN) while a look of consternation was etched on his face.
Now, it's never easy to tell when a launch video is from recent activity, or just another Iranian scare tactic. But US missile tracking systems, including the advanced American anti-missile station in the Israeli Negev, have confirmed not only the launch, but the accuracy and capabilities of the Sejil-2.
Within the news feed appeared the face of our President as he expressed his "long concern" over Iran's missile development program. White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said this was a "step in the wrong direction." I guess! Military intelligence leaks suggest that Iran is two to three years ahead of the Israelis missile defense technology. Uh-oh! It is no coincidence that President Obama approved the sale of the American Arrow 3 anti-missile system to Israel. The problem is, Obama cut funding for this system as it was part of the "defense shield" that Bush was attempting to deploy in eastern Europe, and it will not even be testable until 2012. Uh-oh, again! In other words, the Sejil-2 can reach Israel in a matter of minutes, at a speed practically impossible for the Patriot anti-missile batteries to intercept, and there is no 'coming to the rescue' anytime soon by the Americans.
But that wasn't why poor Hal was so upset. Immediately after the the Iranian missile clip ended, it was revealed that President Obama had just approved the sale of "civilian" advanced nuclear technology to the United Arab Emirates. The UAE has extremely close ties to Iran and it is totally plausible to suggest that this technology will be in the hands of Iranian and Russian scientists within hours, if not minutes of receiving this great help from America. Can you see the rise of the threat level for Israel? Is it so far 'out there' to understand that Prime Minister Netanyahu will probably be forced to attempt his own solution by unilaterally attacking Iran? Is it so hard to see a hook being set in Iran's sworn ally, Russia? An agreement made in 2003 was reaffirmed in February during a visit by Vladimir Putin to Iran. That agreement dictates that Russia step in should any western nation attack Iran's nuclear program.
When it is all added up, all you can say is, "Wow! Has someone been hit with a stupid-stick?" Lou Dobbs sure thought so.

Islam's View of the Jews....Eye Opening!

As we spiral our way towards pre-written history (prophecy), it is becoming clearer by the day that the 'higher-ups' in Washington do not have any understanding whatsoever at how Islam drives Islamic culture. This is not a religion that should be respected! Do not follow the ridiculous statements of former President George W. Bush, who stated that Islam is a religion of peace, and Allah is just another name for the God we serve. Don't sit idly by while President Obama stretches out to embrace this enslaving religion as if it were actually willing to negotiate with those it considers infidels.

Do not misunderstand what I'm saying. Muslims should be respected, they are human beings created by God just like us. They are lives for whom Jesus sacrificed himself to provide salvation and eternal life. They are worthy of our respect. But we must challenge their religion.

As within the ranks of Christianity, bizarre Islamic teachers come up with all sorts of strange and dangerous doctrines. Of course, within Islam, these doctrines are great fire starters for jihadists in their mission to exterminate those whom they consider vermin. The Jews are the main recipient of that insidious hatred. But don't be dismayed, we Christians are too!

Read this article on how Egyptian Imams are intertwining the Swine Flu epidemic with their Koran inspired antisemitism. (And please don't write to say that the Arabs are Semites too. Yes, they are of the seed of Abraham, and therefore Shem, but anti-Semitism is a phenomena that the entire world understands as being anti-JEWISH.)

Here it is. Leave your thoughts in the comment box. I want to hear from you.

Arabs, Jews, and the Swine Flu

By Miguel A. Guanipa

It is reported that the Egyptian government is aggressively combating any potential spread of the much dreaded Swine Flu virus. In fact it has so fiercely engaged in tackling this growing pandemic, their drastic methods have even caught the attention of some animal rights activists.
The activists' outrage centers around an infamous video on YouTube which depicts a few earnest Egypt sanitation workers bludgeoning hundreds of pigs to death with iron bars.
It is alleged that so far only twenty-six people have died in Egypt of the much dreaded disease, but apparently this is not stopping the government from taking the most aggressive measures to forestall the potentially devastating consequences of the virus spreading. Reportedly the plan is to have all the pigs in Egypt exterminated by the end of six months. One is almost tempted to think that the government of Egypt has literally issued a Fatwa against the unsuspecting pigs of the land. Yet truth is sometimes, as they say, stranger than fiction.
A Middle East news website has in fact reported that Sheikh Ahmad 'Ali 'Othman, the superintendent of Da'wa affairs at the Egyptian Ministry of Religious Endowments, has indeed issued such a fatwa already, ordering that all pigs in Egypt be slaughtered. But the reasons behind this Fatwa have been deemed by the World Health Organization as not having a warranted scientific basis; its possible motivating factor may soon also come under international scrutiny.
It would be reasonable to assume that Egyptian officials are merely taking every possible measure to mitigate the country's impact of the H1N1 virus pandemic. At the same time, it has also been disclosed that Sheikh Ahmad 'Ali 'Othman personally believes that one of the reasons Islam forbids its followers from eating pork meat is because today's swine are the direct descendant of the patriarch Moses' fellow wilderness wanderers depicted in the Old Testament scriptures.
Mr. Othman craftily employs the Koran in support of his thesis. The latter relates how the prophet Muhammad strictly forbade his followers from eating swine meat. Othman amplifies on this peculiar exegesis of the text by claiming that Jesus - considered a slightly minor prophet in Islamic culture - is also scheduled to participate in the slaughter of swine come the Day of Judgment. For Mr. Othman, this represents irrefutable proof that the wretched mammals are to be included as part of the Jewish genealogy.
Luckily, a semblance of common sense - if that is what one can call it - has prevailed.
After Mr. Othman offered his rather peculiar theological assessment, he was challenged by another prominent official, Sheikh 'Ali Abu Al-Hassan, head of the Al-Azhar Fatwa Committee, who flatly contradicted Sheikh Othman's assertion.
Sheikh Al-Hassan explained that the divine punishment which manifested itself in the form of a devolutionary mutation of sorts, against the transgressing Jews who were turned into swine, actually only affected a number of Moses' followers with whom Allah was very angry. Furthermore, those who were changed into pigs and apes, perished with their generation, and did not have occasion to engage in the act of copulation. Hence they did not leave any offspring from which there would be any such progeny occupying the pens of local farmers or roaming the Egyptian countryside today. Thus he declared Mr. Othman's claim of any Semitic ancestors born from victims of bad Jewish Karma, as it were, to be partly erroneous.
Sheikh Ahmad also emphasized that this was a highly unusual type of punishment from the Almighty, which in all likelihood, has not been repeated since. Oddly enough, he was not asked by his peers to comment on whether or not, in his own view, this unprecedented, "transformative" phase in Jewish history would have constituted a positive step forward in the evolutionary chain; after all, even one of the U.S. President's own advisers has gone so far as to compare a beauty contestant to the canine species.
Speaking of whom, one wonders if this bit of international news may serve as a reminder to president Obama, of the arguably insurmountable cultural and religious hurdles that must be negotiated, if one is to insist on a more tolerant approach from the nation of Israel towards its presumably peace loving and respectful Arab neighbors.

Turkey's Slow Turn....Away from the West and Toward the East

For those of you who keep your eyes open to the changing current of events tied to Ezekiel's Gog/Magog war, this should make your ears perk up too. In chapters 38 & 39, Ezekiel mention
Gomer and Beth-Togarmah as members of the coalition that will descend to the mountains of Israel in order to snuff out the Jews, once and for all. Those ancient tribes can be traced directly to modern day Turkey. It is not a stretch to see God telling Ezekiel that He will put a hook in Magog's mouth and draw him down from the north will all his allies.

For thirty years, Turkey has tied itself to the coat tails of western Europe, and most lately, with the United States. Because it is a member of NATO, it has been practically inconceivable to the west that Turkey might eventually "walk away" from the alliance in favor of joining its radical Islamic cousins. Well, God has other thoughts. He shuffles the pawns to bring about the fulfillment of his promises, and that is exactly what appears to be taking place. Another important puzzle piece is coming together.

Now, before you read this piece from www.raptureready.com, I want you to keep your eyes on the countries of the Balkans, especially beleaguered Georgia. It appears Russia's foray into that little country last year was a test to see Turkey's resilience. Turkey proved wishy-washy. This time, Russia will go in and clean house of democracy. The threat to Turkey's independence will be pronounced, and Turkey will cave in to Russia's over lordship. How soon it will happen is any one's guess, but it WILL happen. I think it will be sooner than later. Go ahead and read this article and let me know what you think.

ISTANBUL - Turkey’s allies are confused by the shift in its foreign policy and its pronounced Eurasian and/or Middle Eastern bent, an independent Finnish research agency finds. Although some believe the country is turning its back on the West; others say Ankara’s foreign policy is well balanced in all directions, while yet others find Turkey’s conduct to be essentially ‘directionless’.
Turkey’s recent flurry of diplomatic activity has been confusing to the country’s partners and neighbors despite projecting the image of a dynamic and assertive international actor, according to a report by an independent Finnish research institute.

The perceptions of Turkey’s international behavior range from the country turning its back on the West; to Ankara’s foreign policy being well balanced in all directions; to Turkey’s conduct being essentially "directionless," according to a report published by the Institute of International Affairs, or UPI. The UPI is an independent research institute that produces topical information on international relations and the European Union.

"For quite some time, the Turkish top leadership has been tirelessly crisscrossing the globe," read the report. "Everywhere they go the Turks tend to air new diplomatic initiatives, offer mediation, advance blueprints for new regional security regimes and, last but not least, seek to boost trade ties."

According to the report, one feature of recent Turkish policy that catches the eye is that almost all of Turkey’s foreign policy moves have a pronounced Eurasian and/or Middle Eastern bent. "The key questions that trouble Western analysts would appear to be: To what extent will Turkey’s new assertiveness and ambitions remain compatible with the West’s strategic objectives? How independent is Ankara prepared to be in crafting good neighborly relations with the countries that the West regards as ‘problematic?’" asked the report. One concern among some of Turkey’s Western allies is that Turkey is increasingly moving away from its pro-Western orientation and Euro-Atlantic institutions. "Instead, this outlook holds, Turkish foreign policy’s center of gravity is shifting towards other regions, mostly the Muslim Middle East," read the report. Yet some believe Turkey’s new foreign policy and Ankara’s aspirations to play a more assertive role in its immediate geopolitical neighborhood should be seen as complementary, rather than contradictory, to its more traditional Western strategic alignments. According to this train of thought, Ankara’s enhanced regional profile can be regarded as an asset that potentially increases Turkey’s strategic attractiveness for its Western partners, read the report.

Citing European and U.S. goals for a more peaceful region in the neighborhood, the report added: "Turkey is well able to contribute to reaching these goals while pursuing its regional agenda – provided it reinvigorates efforts to realize its European bid."

Yet another view is that the Turkish government is pursuing a highly contradictory foreign policy devoid of any clear-cut conceptual or strategic basis. "For these critics, the [Justice and Development Party] AKP’s foreign policy outlook is at heart a highly unprincipled one, being influenced mainly by populist considerations, naked opportunism and the desire of the AKP elite to retain political power," read the report. It added that the result was chaotic policies and a "directionless Turkey."

New strategic identity taking shapeThe report found that Turkish behavior is shaped by both domestic and external factors. It is being influenced by the shifts in the country’s international identity and the changes in Turkey’s vision of its new geopolitical role. These, in turn, are the result of powerful processes that are reshaping the socio-political life of the country. These processes are the economic development in the Anatolian hinterland, the broadening of the elite through the emergence of the new ambitious provincial social actors, who are economically dynamic and culturally conservative, and the increasing role of elected officials and thus a stronger government. "These changes generate important shifts in national identity, leading (among other things) to the rise of religious sentiment, which paves the way for identification and affinity with Turkey’s Muslim neighborhood," read the report. The report found that the trend toward greater strategic independence became more apparent with new Foreign Minister Ahmet DavutoÄŸlu. Instead of being perceived as a perennially peripheral country that sits on the outer margins of the European Union, NATO or Asia, Turkey, according to DavutoÄŸlu’s strategic vision, should be seen as being located in the very heart of Eurasia.

Ankara’s new, and seemingly more ambitious, international outlook appears to be driven by three main factors: the shifts in Turkey’s own international identity, new threat perceptions, and an acute awareness of the intimate interconnectedness between external and domestic developments. Turkey’s growing strategic interest in and involvement with the troubled region of the Middle East is a perfect illustration of those important factors at work. The report cites a Western commentator on Ankara’s new strategic vision: "[It] is at once independent, nationalistic, Islamic, pan-Turkist, global, and Western." However, the true challenge, the commentary continues, "is to integrate and reconcile these various interests with specific policies."

Congress Won't Back Obama's Guantanamo Closing

Do you suppose someone in Washington is actually thinking?

Congress says it will not allow money, approximately $80 million dollars, to be allocated to shut down the Guantanamo detainee facility in January as Obama had announced. The President suddenly sounded compliant. Has he gotten smarter in the last few hours?

Okay, here's the deal. Obama hasn't gotten smarter. He's already the smartest man alive. Congress hasn't had an updraft of intelligence either, at least not as a whole. The conservatives have been screaming that released detainees will have free access to the United States, thereby creating a huge glut in the risk of terrorist acts in the near future. Obama has never agreed that would be the case. Plus, we must remember who controls the congress....yup....Democrats. Suddenly, the dems have turned on their President's plans, but it is not out of wisdom.

The Guantanamo closing was scheduled for January of 2010. Congress, of course, is on a two year term limit...at least it all has to be re-elected. YES Ma'am, 2010 is an election year and the majority of the American public understands that releasing the most hardened terrorists into the good 'ole USA will lead to a massive public health hazard....in the form of car bombs, and various other styles of suicidal behavior. Americans in general see the danger. All liberal congressfolk see is the need to be re-elected. So, they hold off on what they really want.

In the final analysis, it is obvious that the Dims (not used lightly) want there to be an upsurge in terrorism, maybe so they can save the day. Certainly they can't be THAT stupid, can they?

Ezekiel's Valley of Dry Bones and the Rebirth of Israel

Ezekiel Saw The Rebirth of Israel. There can be no doubt that the covenant promises given by Jehovah to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob will hold true. Jesus said "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my Word shall never pass away." Some miss the point when they see today's nation of Israel and wonder how a secular nation can be the fulfillment of Ezekiel's famous prophecy in Chapter 37. Some have mistakenly attempted to place the Church into the position of fulfilling those covenants. Neither bits of reasoning work. God will restore Israel to a place of true faith and worship in Jehovah (Including a national receiving of Jesus (Yeshua) Messiah), but the first step was to bring his covenant people back to their land. Read how I portray that prophecy in my new book, "Distant Thunder" to be released in August 2009.

DISTANT THUNDER
Book One of the Lightning Chronicles

Prologue
568 B.C.

The old man kicked at a clump of drying grass, while he wiped away the sweat that was burning his eyes. Just standing in this heat weakened his spindly legs, and a scorching wind seared his lungs. It was the season when relentless summer winds sucked the life out of just about every living thing in this "heart of Babylon," greatest of all kingdoms, center of the universe. "Bah," spat Ezekiel, the crusty old prophet. "There is one King who will lay claim, and it is not Nebuchadnezzar!"

He wasn't concerned about his words falling on the ears of a stray Chaldean; he was already known by most as a lunatic. In reality, only a handful of his own people actually listened to him. Mostly, he was mocked as a babbling fool, and that only sharpened his frustration.

He was meandering along the eastern bank of the Chebar Canal, alone with his tortured thoughts and nagging regrets. So many hopes and dreams had been piled up like refuse on a trash heap, sometimes he wondered if there was any point in continuing what seemed to be a fruitless ministry. Worse, Ezekiel knew he was nearing his last breath.

The reality that he would not see his beloved Jerusalem again weighed heavily upon him. Stolen away from his homeland by the King of Babylon some thirty years earlier, the prophet had nearly forgotten the beauty and blessing of Judah. Only images remained. Some were pleasant ponderings; others were memories of shattered possibilities. But most glaring were the remembrances of a greater invasion of wickedness that had consumed his people. He'd cried out fervently while still in Israel, trying to awaken the people to the abomination of it all. Few listened. Wretchedness had been unleashed upon the people, and it came from the iniquities of the people themselves. No matter how passionately he'd challenged the depravity, there seemed to be no power behind his words. None of his pronouncements carried the necessary weight to bring about change. His desire to call upon the conscience of his people was simply not enough. So, with a heaviness that accompanies a sense of failure, Ezekiel had left prophetic utterance to the few who claimed to have the power.

It wasn’t until he’d settled in the hovel called Tel-abib, situated beside this dirty river, that he first began to feel an odd stirring in his belly. Strangely, it signaled the arrival of a power that would energize his words. It was also when his dreams began to turn dark. He was shown things he, to this day, could not comprehend. His visions were so horrifyingly real that he’d developed a tremor in his hands and a slight twitch had become noticeable under his eye. Whenever he shared the dreams and visions, the quaking and twitching became so prominent that people would either discount him as sick or denounce him as a fool. With a wave of a hand he was dismissed. But the inner stirring only intensified until it became a raging storm.

He lifted his head and looked toward a setting sun smeared by distant dust-filled winds. Slowly, his thoughts turned to his once lovely Jerusalem, and it made him mourn. Worse, his wild visions concerned that once great city. Over the last few weeks his waking dreams had disturbed him so much that he’d hardly been able to stomach his food.

Whenever the trance fell, a huge valley would be stretched before him, a valley filled with nothing but dust, dry bones and armor. It was a place of defeat and death, where all flesh had been picked clean by vultures and jackals. Some great battle had been waged and an army had met complete annihilation. With each repetition of the vision, the prophet would end up puzzled and confused. But the last few times, some-thing different had happened. What seemed to have been a messenger from the Almighty had appeared beside him. The figure was beyond comprehension, yet exuding a sorrowful compassion for this lost people lying before him.

“What do you see, son of man? Describe it to me,” the bronze-hued, light shrouded being commanded. Ezekiel’s knees were banging together like drums being played at a wedding feast.

“I see bones, nothing but bones. Bones separated from one another and piled high. Swords, helms, bucklers, and shields,” Ezekiel answered weakly.

“Can these bones live again?” the being asked. “Can there be life in place of death?” Ezekiel strained his eyes out over the valley looking for any sign of a survivor, any life at all. Not even a bird remained to pick at the bones. Everything was desolate. With a shrug and a sigh, he let the question stand for a moment. How does one give answer to such a riddle-speaking majestic being, when words fall short of holiness and are shrouded in trepidation? “You know, my Lord, you know,” was the prophet’s feeble reply.

“I tell you, son of man, these bones will live again.”

Suddenly, a swirling wind blew outward from the messenger and passed down the entire length of the valley. It was accompanied by bursts of lightning as it rolled forward in raw, creative power. A clicking sound could be heard, something far beyond Ezekiel’s knocking knees. It was the sickly pop of bone reconnecting with bone.

He looked toward the nearest pile of death and gasped as a soldier was swiftly reassembled, then another. He witnessed a torrent of bones flying as if they were looking for the correct skeleton to connect to. Then, sinew and tendon began to form in joints and spread rapidly over each body. Flesh appeared. It was followed by clothing. Armor flew into place on one lone soldier nearby. The new man took his place among the hundreds of companies that were being formed across the entire valley. Then, silence. The army was standing, living, breathing, and ready to march to war. Fear-generated sweat poured down Ezekiel’s face as he turned to the messenger.

“I tell you, that which was dead will come to life. My wayward people were crushed under my discipline, but they shall be restored. Jacob shall live again, and my servant David shall be king. I will make a covenant of peace with them. I will be their God, and they will be my people. Then the whole world will see my sanctuary standing in their company forever.” Then the man was gone.

It was the same nearly every night for the last moon cycle. Ezekiel grunted as he thought of how he was getting to the point where he could repeat the words with each night’s visitation. “Must be careful to not offend the Great Light,” he said to no one in particular. At least thinking through these manifestations seemed to help lessen the distance he had to cover between settlements as he faithfully conveyed God’s message to his people. However, this last part of the vision needed a bit more consideration before he shared it. The people were already raising their eyebrows, no need to confirm his lunacy just yet.

Suddenly, the prophet felt himself driven to his knees by the weight of a massive hand. He was pushed mercilessly downward until his sunburned forehead touched the parched earth he’d been kicking moments before. Then a voice said, “Son of man, set your face to the north, to Gog of the land of Magog, to the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him…”

Obama Doesn't Get It. Neither Does US Intelligence

This From The Debkafiles

US-Israel summit shadowed by Obama's soft stand on Iranian enrichment
DEBKAfile Exclusive Report

Iran has consistently fooled international nuclear monitors
DEBKAfile's Washington sources report that the gap between US president Barack Obama and Israel prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Iran was wider even than on the Palestinian issue. Overshadowing their outwardly easy conversation was the US president's growing inclination to meet Iran halfway on uranium enrichment and call off UN and American sanctions if Tehran allows international monitoring of the process.
Our intelligence sources report that Obama is seriously considering taking up the Anglo-German proposal for an international monitoring mechanism strict enough to preclude Iran's attainment of weapons-grade enriched uranium.
The president was convinced by American intelligence and nuclear experts that this can be done. He also believes that nothing will persuade Tehran to cede its right to enrichment activity on its soil.
Israeli intelligence and military experts take the opposite view. They believe the Anglo-German plan gives Iran the perfect cover for concealing its race for a nuclear bomb, a misgiving shared by the political and military establishments of the moderate Arab governments in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the Gulf.
It is their view that if Obama adopts this plan, Iran can be sure of arriving at a nuclear weapon capability by the end of 2010.
This dispute did not come up in the Obama-Netanyahu conversation. Both skated around the Iranian nuclear threat separately without touching on options outside diplomacy. The US president said he was in the process of "reaching out" to Iran and was confident he could persuade Tehran's rulers that a nuclear weapon was not in their best interest if they wanted to be fully accepted as part of the international community. He did not mention uranium enrichment or a military option against Iran. Neither would he accept a deadline for negotiations with Tehran, except to say that at the end of the year, "we will see where we stand."
But asked later to comment, Netanyahu said: "We will defend ourselves."
Seen from outside Washington, by Iran's neighbors, Israeli and Arab alike, President Obama has made Iran the gift of seven clear months for developing its nuclear capabilities and enrichment undisturbed.
The only thing left to the Israeli prime minister was to commend "the president's firm commitment that Iran will not attain a nuclear weapon."

My Commentary

Ravi Zacherias recently made this statement: "We see with our ears and hear with our emotions" Seems like a strange thing to say until you really think about it. Our society is so programmed to go by emotions and visual stimuli that few are able to see with wisdom, understanding, and logical reasoning. President Obama FEELS DEEPLY. However, he cannot seem to see beyond his emotions and feelings when it comes to the truth.

Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadinijad has one goal....to usher in the appearance of the Twelfth Imam, or Mahdi, by way of global Armageddon. While Barack Obama extends his hand to establish warm fuzzies, Ahmadinijad seeks to acquire enough nuclear material to erase Israel off the map and bring the Untied States to its knees.

With honey on his lips and an olive branch in his hands, Obama is being seen as weak, spineless and an absolute fool to the world of radical Islam. With no understanding of the underpinnings of jihad, he is leading us swiftly toward catastrophe. At least he has feelings.
