True Intentions--The Community Organizer at Work

Palestinian Authority President, Mahmoud Abbas, has no intentions of coming to the table with peace on his mind.

As reported by the Jerusalem Post today:
"While Israel and the Palestinian Authority are finally expected to begin US-mediated indirect “proximity” talks in the very near future, concern is growing among some in the Israeli government that the PA is planning to marginalize the diplomatic process and instead unilaterally seek UN recognition for a Palestinian state along the pre-1967 lines. There is a rising conviction among some in the Netanyahu government, The Jerusalem Post has learned, that the PA is aiming to secure a new UN Security Council Resolution, updating 1967’s Resolution 242, providing for the establishment of Palestine and fudging the refugee issue. The idea of such a move, runs the bleak assessment, would be to establish a state not at peace with Israel, but rather to continue the conflict with Israel."
Other intentions are becoming clear as well. The stated intent of Barrack Obama has been to administer "biting" sanctions against Iran in order to force it to curb their nuclear ambitions. Warnings and deadlines (with consequences) have been issued over and over again. Iran has laughed, scoffed, and mocked each one, or it has manipulated our community organizing president. As they outmanuever the President at every turn, Obama will not even respond when provoked.
This from today's Debkafile:
The US Fifth fleet and USS Eisenhower refrained from shooting an Iranian spy plane collecting intelligence from the American carrier on April 21 because they are under orders not to respond to hostile Iranian acts without permission direct from Washington. Gulf governments fear US military passivity will encourage Tehran to be bolder and more provocative, emulating Pyongyang which got away scot-free with sinking a South Korean vessel.
Now, the community organizer in chief is pushing for the UN to finally administer sanctions. However, these sanctions against Iran include certain exemptions for Russia and China, just so these two countries don't veto the resolution when it comes before the Security Council.
So, help me understand. We want Iran to be sanctioned, but we are going to give exemptions to Russia......the same Russia that is providing the financing, expertise, and personnel for the building of Iran's nuclear facilities.....so that somehow, Iran will stop doing what they are doing?
We are going to give exemptions to China....the same China that is buying Iranian oil, refining it into gasoline, then re-selling it to Iran making a huge profit....so that China can continue supplying Iran with needed fuel for its economy?
Wow....Another Obama Masterpiece. This community organizing stuff makes a person sit back and say SHAZAM! Wish I'd thought of that!
In the meantime, Israel is left hanging out in the wind all because it wanted to build a few apartments in its own territory, within the confines of the capitol city it has owned for three thousand years. In fact, the community organizer in chief is even forwarding the notion of sanctions against Israel.... and I bet those sanctions will actually have some "bite" to them.
Look how far we have fallen!

WAR IS COMING!

Iran, Syria, Hizballah gear up to Provoke Summer War
DEBKAfile Special Report April 28, 2010

US defense secretary Robert Gates said Tuesday night, April 27: "Hizballah has far more rockets and missile than most governments in the world." He and Israeli defense minister Ehud Barak were talking to reporters after their talks in the Pentagon. Military sources did not see his as high commendation for Barak's achievements as defense minister. All he had to contribute on this occasion was: "We do not intend to provoke any kind of major collision in Lebanon or with Syria, but are watching closely these developments."Gates went on to accuse Syria and Iran of "providing Hizballah with rockets of ever-increasing capability," adding, "This is obviously destabilizing for the whole region and we're watching it very carefully.
Both defense chiefs seemed to think that careful watching would somehow erase the hostile buildup of deadly hardware. In fact, Barak's comment told Iran, Syria and Hizballah they had nothing to fear from continuing their "carefully watched" buildup, even though Syria took it a step forward this month. As debkafile's military sources reported last week, Syrian instructors have trained two Hizballah brigades in the use of mobile Scud missiles which carry one-ton warheads. It does not matter if those missiles are moved physically across the border to Lebanon, because those brigades can operate them against Israel at short notice from either side of the border. Our Washington sources report that Syrian president Bashar Assad, under heavy pressure from Washington to keep the Scuds out of Hizballah's hands, explained to the Obama administration through diplomatic channels that as long as they were kept inside Syria, the Scuds must be seen as a defensive and deterrent weapon against a possible Israeli attack on Lebanon and Syria. He thus placed on Israel the onus for any future outbreak of hostilities.
Gates' accusation of Iran and Syria Tuesday was the administration's way of telling Damascus that it does not buy that message. Unlike the United States, Israel has a ringside seat for watching the rockets and missiles pile up just across its 70-kilometer long border with Lebanon. Gates' comment - and even more Barak's assurance - gave Syria and the Hizballah space to carry on building a mighty arsenal, which is aimed at only one country, Israel. Barak as defense minister, prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Israel's security chiefs need to explain how Hizballah was allowed in the four years since the 2006 war to pile up tens of thousands of rockets and missiles, which in volume and sophistication have already overtaken the weaponry that battered northern Israel then and which have extended their reach to all parts of Israel."Careful watch" - without corresponding action to interrupt the massive flow of weapons shipments constantly smuggled in from Syria to Hizballah - is a repeat of the misplaced self-restraint which invited the Hizballah to launch the last Lebanon conflict in the summer of 2006. Dragging Israeli and its homeland into war in the summer of 2010 would serve the political and military interests of Iran, Syria and Hizballah well. It would generate a Middle East crisis overwhelming enough to focus international efforts on calming the situation, so distracting the world's attention Iran's arrival at the critical stages of its nuclear bomb program and its drive for sanctions against the Islamic Republic

Egypt Warns of Summer War

Egypt warns of war in the North
By JPOST.COM STAFF 27/04/2010
FM Gheit says tensions could deteriorate, denies calling Israel enemy state.

Egypt has issued a stark warning of a summer war between Israel and Lebanon. Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit passed on messages to US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and representatives of the other permanent UN Security Council members, warning that the current Israel-Lebanon tensions could deteriorate into an armed conflict, Israel Radio reported on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, according to the radio station, Egypt denied Arab media reports that Aboul Gheit had called Israel an enemy state at a press conference in Beirut on Monday. Israeli Ambassador to Egypt Yitzhak Levanon had protested the alleged remark on Monday to the director of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry's Israel desk. In response, the ministry said that all Aboul Gheit had said was that he could not transmit messages from Israel to Lebanon since Lebanon viewed Israel as an enemy state.
The latest tensions between Israel and Lebanon arose after reports surfaced in Kuwait’s Al-Rai newspaper that Syria had transferred Scud ballistic missiles to Hizbullah. Israel subsequently issued a stern warning that it would consider attacking both Syrian and Lebanese targets in response to a Scud attack on its territory.
Lebanon’s Western-backed Prime Minister Sa’ad Hariri denied the allegations, comparing them to the American charges that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction ahead of the 2003 US-led invasion. However, the chairwoman of the US Senate’s Intelligence Committee warned that there was a “high likelihood” that Hizbullah had acquired Scuds.
Clinton has said the Obama administration is still committed to improving ties with Syria, despite its "deeply troubling" moves to aid Hizbullah.

----------------

It has been awhile since Egypt has blatantly spoken out against Israel. I believe there are a couple of reasons for this. First, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak is dying. There is uncertainty as to who will replace him. Because of a growing radical Islamist element in Egypt, placing Israel in the cross hairs will "win friends and influence radicals." Egypt is also attempting to sucker the US into doing more to force Israel to divide itself. The threat of war always gets the peaceniks moving. Obama wants to be king of the world and the only way he can become the 'anointed one' is to achieve peace where no one else has....the MIDDLE EAST.

Second, the scenario has been written. Psalm 83 lists Egypt as a partner in a coming attack. Other coalition members are listed as well. They include Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia. Zechariah 9-10, Zephaniah 2, Isaiah 17, Ezekiel 25, and Obadiah 15-18 tell us what will happen.

Will a war break out this summer? Only God knows. But if it does, courageous believers in Jesus Christ will be given the greatest opportunity in all history to usher people into the Kingdom of Heaven. The time to work while it is day is here NOW!

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Pray for Muslims and Jews alike to find the truth of Messiah Yeshua. Look for opportunities to share your faith....and use the name of Jesus boldly when sharing. (No more "the man upstairs" or even using the germ "God." There are many ideas of God out there....but the name of Jesus is pretty clear.)

Iran See's US Intervention as Laughable

I am convinced that what we see happening is a classic example of "baiting." Iran is on the verge of enriching its uranium to a weapon's grade level. They are not slowing down in the least. They certainly aren't talking to Obama. Israel is being threatened verbally with annihilation, and it won't be long before Iran has the nuclear power to back its words. Russia has not yet delivered its vaunted S-300 anti-aircraft/anti-missile system to the Iranians. Iran is as vulnerable to an Israeli attack as it will ever be, and it knows it.
So why does it continue to threaten the Jewish state knowing Israel has the capability, for know, of doing tremendous damage to its military and industrial infrastructure? Because an attack is exactly what Iran is challenging Israel to do.
Why?
1. Ahmadenijad's brand of Islam (Shi'a) is nihilistic. They are willing to be attacked in order to rally the entire world of Islam against Israel, even if it means their own death. It sounds like the character of a suicide bomber because that is exactly what it is.
2. The United States will do nothing. There is no longer an argument to challenge that fact. Obama is dismantling America and its defenses at an alarming rate. He is not going to start another war against his Islamic friends. Therefore, Iran is able to move according to a long established plan.
3. Israel is going to have to act because of several converging circumstances.
a. Russia has announced it will go ahead with the plan to initialize the Bushuhr nuclear facility in Iran sometime towards the end of July.
b. The temporary peace agreement established by the Arab League with Israel will expire on July 30th, 2010. Even now there is a new call by the Arab League to join with the United States in forcing a Palestinian solution upon the Israelis....built on the 1967 pre-war boundaries.
c. Intelligence experts believe Iran will not only be nuclear capable, but will have built its first nuclear bomb by the end of the summer.
In the meantime, talking has gotten nowhere. Read this article from columnist Barry Ruben in today's Jerusalem Post.

The Region: Onwards, Iran marches
By BARRY RUBIN 26/04/2010

It has been 15 months since Barack Obama called for ‘good-faith negotiations’ with the Islamic Republic on its nuclear program. Where are we now? Still talking about it.

Iran may be able to build a missile capable of striking the United States by 2015, according to a new US Department of Defense report. As I keep trying to explain, this isn’t all about Israel, because Iran will be able to hit any country in the region. Yet the more likely danger is that the Iranian regime will use nuclear weapons “defensively.” In other words, it will intimidate, subvert and bring over to its side millions of people, changing the power balance in the region. And if anyone in the Arabic-speaking world wants to oppose it or do anything about it, Teheran will just use the possession of nuclear weapons to scare them into submission.
But won’t a US promise of protection reassure everyone? Take a look at current US policy and try to answer yes without laughing. And there’s another problem. Even if you know that the US will launch an attack in response, your country will still be flattened. Better to give in or even jump on the revolutionary Islamist bandwagon, many will conclude.
Meanwhile, we can still read headlines like this one: “US open to Iran nuclear fuel deal despite doubts.” Oh, right! Let’s spend a few months going back to the nuclear fuel swap deal which Iran raised last September to sabotage the sanctions train so successfully. No problem. What could possibly be a reason to hurry in putting pressure on Iran?
That’s why the Pentagon report is so important. It warns: “Iran’s nuclear program and its willingness to keep open the possibility of developing nuclear weapons is a central part of its deterrent strategy.” Please note what Iran’s deterrent strategy means in practice. Iran’s radical Islamist regime will be able to foment terrorism and revolution against Arab governments, try to take over Lebanon, promote Hamas in fighting Israel and overturning the Palestinian Authority, and target American soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan, among other things.
But if the US or others try to do something about it, Iran will use its possession of nuclear weapons to deter them. At the same time, it will use possession of nuclear weapons to foment appeasement among regional and Western states while simultaneously persuading millions of Muslims that revolutionary Islamism is invincible and they should join a movement headed for inevitable victory.

Request for Imposition of Peace...Is Big Brother Listening?

It seems that Barrack Obama may be backing off a bit on the ridiculous demands he placed on Israel to cease building in East Jerusalem. Now, to attempt to save his peace plan, Obama is asking that Israel delay any new permits for four weeks.
In the meantime, as you read the following article you will again see the real stinker in the Middle East Peace process. It's the same ole same ole. Israel offers a large concession, and the Palestinians reject it. Instead, they are requesting, probably with huge threats of escalation in violence, that Obama impose a solution on Israel. You must remember that the Palestinians don't want a parcel of the land, they want the entire land that is today called Israel. True colors have a way of shining through.
US compromise on Jerusalem - but Abbas says IMPOSE a Solution
DEBKAfile Exclusive Report
April 24, 2010

Peace talks still face Abbas "no"
debkafile's Washington sources report that the US Middle East peace envoy George Mitchell presented Israeli prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu Friday, April 23, with a compromise by the Obama administration on Jerusalem. Instead of a freeze on all Israeli construction in East Jerusalem, Israel is now asked to quietly suspend all building licenses and other permits for just four weeks, to give Mitchell a chance to persuade the Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas to accept US-moderated proximity talks. The White House came forward with this concession, those sources said, to help clear the air in the president's relations with the Israeli prime minister.
Yet Mitchell ends yet another mission to Jerusalem and Ramallah Sunday, April 25, without breaking new ground. Our Washington and Jerusalem sources report that, notwithstanding the Israel government spokesman's denial, the prime minister did in fact submit to Abbas a secret offer to agree on temporary borders for a Palestinian state on 60 percent of the West Bank. Hoping the offer would go far toward melting the Palestinian leader's resistance to negotiations, Mitchell returned to the Middle East for yet another bid to get them moving.
In the event, Abbas turned the offer down because it came directly from the prime minister - not through the Americans and minus US guarantees. He appealed directly to President Barack Obama to "impose" a solution on the Middle east conflict.
Speaking to members of his Fatah party, he said: “Mr President and members of the American administration, since you believe in this [an independent Palestinian state], it is your duty to take steps toward a solution and to impose this solution."
The flood of pro-Israeli rhetoric from administration officials in the last few days and its willingness to yield partially on Jerusalem is not taken by most American Jewish leaders as a true change of Barack Obama's Middle East policy but rather a PR campaign. Saturday night, April 24, some of them warned that the White House feels the need to ease the crisis marring the atmosphere in its relations with Jerusalem and American Jews without, however, revising its fundamental Middle East policy, which is intrinsically detrimental to Israel.
Some high-placed official sources are also critical of Netanyahu's approach to America's drive for peace talks with the Palestinians. They complain the Israel prime minister insists that every issue is cleared with him in person and holds his closest aides, including his national security adviser Uzi Arad, back from efforts to seek out common ground with their American counterparts. US officials are aware that defense minister Ehud Barak, who arrives in Washington Sunday for eight days of talks with top American officials, will not be speaking for the prime minister and has not been authorized by him to hold discussions with the Obama administration.

The Pressure Increases to Divide Israel

The pressure continues to mount for Israel to back off and finally acquiesce to shrinking back to the 1967 borders. The pressure is coming at a frenetic pace, and is being applied by the Obama administration.
Somehow, according to Obama, Israel is the one at fault for all the Palestinian/Arab/Iranian/terrorist unrest. Shoot, if Israel would only pull back, "America wouldn't keep getting sucked into regional (Israeli) conflicts where it is losing its blood and treasure." Funny thing is America has yet to have fought beside Israel in ANY of Israel's regional conflicts. Israel has shed the blood and treasure, while American administrations have always found a way to wag the finger and force Israel to the concession table. But now, the effort to shrink and divide Israel, including Jerusalem, is practically breathtaking.

David Horowitz made this clear observation in the Jerusalem Post:
This Israeli mind-set has also been made publicly evident – in the open rejection of the notion of a widened building freeze, and in ministers’ complaints that America’s disproportionate pressure on Israel is actually keeping the Palestinians away from the peace table. It was also strikingly clear in Strategic Affairs Minister Moshe Ya’alon’s interview with The Jerusalem Post last week, when this member of the septet took direct aim at the administration: “Those who want to continue the Oslo process, who want us to continue to give and give and give, without a Palestinian willingness to recognize our right to a national home,” he charged furiously, “are cooperating with the phased plan for Israel’s destruction.”

AND SO we find ourselves in today’s debilitating and dangerous mess. Day by day, despite the flurry of assertions from Obama and others that the relationship is unbreakable, Israel, or at least its current leadership, sees itself becoming increasingly ill-loved by Washington, and perceived to be increasingly ill-loved by the watching American public, by the international community and by a delighted Arab world.

Day by day, in America, the sense is deepening that support for Israel is becoming a more partisan issue – that this Israeli government is an irritant to the Democratic presidency for its perceived obduracy on settlements and its stubborn complication of Obama’s efforts to rebuild America’s relationship with the Muslim world. Opinion polls still show remarkably high American public support for Israel, and Capitol Hill is still robustly in Israel’s corner, but the presidency does set the tone for much of the wider American mind-set, and the presidency, not the Hill, determines the conduct of foreign affairs.

Further afield, the United States seems to be coming into line with an international leadership community that, again as Olmert correctly pointed out, has been peppered with men and women who see themselves as true friends of Israel – people like Gordon Brown and Nicolas Sarkozy and Angela Merkel – but who nonetheless see that Israel as being legitimate only within its pre-1967 dimensions, give or take a limited, Palestinian-sanctioned land swap or two.

Will the land be divided? If you look at the situation as it is, the land is already divided. Israel voluntarily withdrew from the Gaza Strip, and pressure is mounting for a complete withdrawal from the West Bank. The prophet Joel states that the dividing of the land will set the world on a course to Armageddon in chapter three. Are we there? The following is a short list of what I believe is soon to happen. Again, remembering that prophetic events are given to bring about repentance and the advance of the Kingdom, look at what is coming through the lens of sharing Christ in greater opportunities than ever before.
Here's my short list.
a. Israel will be forced to act alone, and in defiance of the world, against Iran.
b. Though the Arab world is in fear of Iran at the moment, an Israeli attack will bring the world of Islam together. The nations surrounding Israel will mount up to push Israel into the sea. Psalm 83, Isaiah 17, Jeremiah 12, Obadiah 15-18, Zephaniah 2, Zechariah 3.
c. The war will be quick and ultimately destructive to the nations that attack Israel and the Jewish national borders will be expanded to the boundaries of Solomon's Empire. At that point, the world will fear Israel, yet Israel will live in security for a short time believing that its enemies have been subdued.
---An International Harvest for Jesus Christ will take place. Short and powerful!
---I believe, though no man can know, the RAPTURE of the Church will take place in this
interval.
d. A coalition of nations will rise as found in Ezekiel 38 and 39. Led by Russia, the coalition will include Iran, Turkey, Libya, the nations of the Horn of Africa, and the nations allied with Russia that are Muslim in orientation.
e. God will destroy these armies, and the seacoasts of the sending nations. Ezekiel 39
f. In the ensuing chaos, a leader will arise who will make a covenant to defend the world from Israeli aggression, yet will gain Israel's favor by rebuilding the Temple. The Jews will think this man is the Messiah. He will set up his imagine in a wing of the Temple and the Jews will understand their great mistake. A 3 1/2 year period of intense persecution of the Jews will begin, but God will protect his covenant people.
g. The Anti-christ will again divide the land possessed by greater Israel.
h. The march to Armageddon will commence and culminate in an unprecedented gathering of armies against Jerusalem. Rev. 19, Joel 3
i. In the midst of the battle, Jesus will return to the planet. Rev. 19
k. Everything after that is pure frosting. Zechariah 14

Not So Brave New World Before Us

I don't believe there is anyone who denies that the world is nearing a defining moment. For many, that moment hovers around the rhetoric of "Hope and Change" to be delivered by transformational forms and figures of government. For others, the ideology that we are about to somehow "save the planet" keeps hope alive for a utopian existence.
But for those with eyes to see and ears to hear someone other than Oprah, Barrack, or Hollywood, the hope and change being fed to the world are empty platitudes and the retread of ancient sin. Imagine the slogans used at Babel as the ziggurat rose into the heavens to challenge God.
Today, the same fist of pride and hubris are being shaken in God's face, even while the shakers add their disclaimers as to the very existence of the one they are defying. Lucifer's sin has been adopted by men. "I will arise and seat myself on the throne," they shout. "God laughs!" (Psalm 2)
But the truth about what the entire world is feeling is that we really are on the cusp of change. A defining moment is upon us, a moment unlike anything we American Christians have ever seen. Change is coming, and in fact, is here now, though many have not yet awakened to its presence.
I am reminded of the words God spoke to Joshua just before Israel crossed over the Jordan to face the impenetrable walls of Jericho. "Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." (Joshua 1:9) Joshua saw the dangers. Joshua saw the changes coming, changes that would mean battle, discipline, and commitment. Yet the Lord told him to be strong and brave....to face the change head on. God would lead him and his people through the land. Though it was possessed by the wicked, God promised it as an inheritance to his people. Joshua persevered even though things got much worse for Israel before they realized their victories.
The coming conflict for most followers of Christ will not be whether or not to bow to an increasingly anti-god government and culture. The conflict will be waged in the heart. This will be a FAITH versus FEAR battle. We will be defined in the days ahead by which one wins. Will we face this generation's defining moment with faith? Or, will we shirk back in fear, resigning ourselves to hidden corners and a whispered gospel?
With every defining moment for the Church comes the opportunity to fade into the shadows, or stand up and courageously reap a harvest. This harvest will require some sweat, some sleepless hours of prayer, and maybe a few spiritual blisters. But the harvest that is before us will be the greatest ingathering of souls in all of history. The harvest will be opened by change, by hardship, by the tearing down of every foundation of hope. The philosophical principalities of the world will be crushed, leaving people hopeless, helpless, and seeking truth. Only the presentation of the gospel through the lives of faith-driven, Christ-seeking, fear-forsaking bastions of holiness will provide what this generation is going to need.
Are you up for the task? Have you left your fear by the side of the road? Are you bolstering your faith in the God of Joshua? If so, get ready to get your hands dirty in the final harvest.

Israel is Adamant: Jerusalem Will NOT be Divided

The Haaretz news website is reporting that Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman has declared today that Jerusalem was the eternal capital of the Jewish state and that it would remain undivided. The Haaretz news article reports:
Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said Tuesday that Jerusalem is the eternal capital of the State of Israel and that it will never be divided - "neither directly nor indirectly." Addressing a group of foreign diplomats at the President's Residence in Jerusalem, the foreign minister quoted a speech made by former prime minister Menachem Begin, explaining that Begin's remarks reflected the connection that Jews around the world feel toward Jerusalem - a connection that still exists today. "Today," he said, "I stand before you in Jerusalem, and confirm Begin's words: the city will remain our capital and will never be divided."
Lieberman further stated:
Lieberman stressed that the government of which he is a member seeks peace as long as there is a genuine partner. "The State of Israel has proven time and again that it is prepared to pay a high price for peace with its neighbors and has already evacuated territory three times its size," he said. "We must now create a new reality in the region based on security for Israelis, economic prosperity for Palestinians, and stability for both. Only then will it be possible to negotiate a final agreement between the parties."

As President Obama continues to force Israel into giving up its East Jerusalem settlements, this stance by Lieberman sends a direct message: "You can push us only so far. We will make other concessions for peace, but Jerusalem is no one of them!"
In the meantime, the administration again demonstrated a high level of ineptitude when, within a few hours, the statement made my Michele Foray regarding the removal of the military option against Iran was countered. Now, it seems, no one really knows whether or not Barrack Obama has the chutzpah to actually use force against Iran. RESULT----
THE IRANIANS ARE LAUGHING THEIR HEADS OFF as they perform military maneuvers in the Persian Gulf, and
THE ISRAELIS ARE AGAIN scratching their heads as they attempt to interpret the actions of a foolish American president.
Stay Tuned on this one!

US Military Option against Iran OFF the Table

Here's something to chew on.....something that makes the probability of a war in the Middle East more of a reality. In fact, the following statement puts the likelihood of war breaking out before August at about 90%.

US deputy defense secretary Michele Flournoy said Wednesday, April 21: "The US has ruled out a military strike against Iran's nuclear program any time soon." This is the first time a senior administration official has publicly admitted that America has dropped its military option against Iran. Instead, said Flournoy, the US is hoping that "negotiations and United Nations sanctions will prevent the Middle East nation from developing nuclear weapons." Addressing a news conference in Singapore, she said clearly: "Military force is an option of last resort, it's off the table in the near term."
Now, this could simply be a woman's point of view coming out. Remember that our Secretary of State and this particular US deputy defense secretary are women who do NOT reflect the nature or chutzpah of the likes of Margaret Thatcher or Golda Meir. (Some of you might need to do some research:) Rather, the ladies in charge more closely reflect the way our president throws a baseball. Yep, sorry gals. Obama throws like a girl. He thinks like a globalist, socialist, peace-nik except when it comes to his political career, slam the rich, change the culture type fool. (That sentences was way too long, I know.)
Anyway, as the UN has no intention of administering "biting" sanctions any time soon, if at all, the onus is now fully, completely, and wholly on Israel. When they act, "caDDie-bar-the-door!" The world will come down on the Jewish state like an out-of-control herd of elephants.

Relations with US Worse than Ever on Eve of Israel's Birthday

AFTER more than a year in office, the Obama administration has placed our strategic partnership under a shadow. By coldly escalating the Ramat Shlomo-housing dispute into an ongoing, full-scale crisis, Washington has diverged from the tone of previous administrations on the status of Jerusalem, and it has damagingly publicly questioned fundamental aspects of our alliance.

When conflicts break out in our region, President Obama noted last week, America tends to get pulled in, and that costs “American blood and treasure.” Sadly, there seems to be no remorse over expending American blood and treasure for Muslim nations, let alonge American treasure to buy Arab oil.

The US had to constantly make plain that reducing these conflicts was not only in the interests of Israel, but was “a vital national security interest of the United States.”

Those sounded like the words of a president who has taken insufficient account of Israel’s history of peace-making overtures to the Palestinians, and of the history of Palestinian rejection.

On the Iranian front, meanwhile, time is running out. The president seeks the widest possible international support for sanctions, but that means delay and an eventual result of useless measures. The US military option is barely on the table. Concern is now growing that Washington is seeking to deny Israel the capacity to protect itself, even if all else fails.

In terms of battling delegitimization, the US has stood by Israel at the key diplomatic moments of the past year, but only by a thread. Nonetheless, Obama’s failure, in his Muslim-outreach speech in Cairo last June, to highlight the historic Jewish connection to our land was a troubling omission.

On the eve of Israel's birthday, what is required from Washington is a more profound appreciation of Israel’s numerous sincere attempts to resolve the conflict: At 62, thriving, modern Israel is still resented and rejected by most of the Arab world, not because of this or that policy, or this or that territorial presence, but because of the very fact of our existence here.

Expert Baiting in Progress

Do you often experience that moment when you have to sit back and scratch your head in perplexity? I do, but this is not one of those moments. This is a moment of clarity, at least I believe it is.
"Clarity about what?" you might ask. Great question!
I believe it is becoming increasingly clear that Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadenijad is not only a radical nutjob, but he is purposely baiting Israel into an attack. Russia is probably involved in the game at some level, though there is no proof beyond the Biblical scenario given in Ezekiel 38. However, there is no logical reason for Russia to withhold its most advanced anti-aircraft/anti-missile defense system, the S-300, unless there is an underlying desire for someone to attempt to take out Iran's nuclear facilities.
Yesterday, I blogged on Ahmadenijad's baiting of Obama. Today, he went a step further during a military parade. Read on

'Iran's Army too Powerful to Attack'
By ASSOCIATED PRESS 18/04/2010

TEHRAN, Iran — President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Sunday extolled Iran's military might during an annual army parade, saying the country is so powerful today that no one would dare attack it.
The parade in Tehran showcased Iran's surface-to-surface Ghadr, Sajjil and Shahab-3 missiles, which have a range of up to 1,250 miles (2,000 kilometers) that puts Israel and U.S. bases in the region within Iran's reach. The Shahab-3 missile is capable of carrying a nuclear warhead. Although Tehran doesn't have one, this has been a source for Western concerns along with Iran's controversial uranium enrichment program, which the international community fears masks ambitions for an atomic bomb.
"Today, our armed forces have so much power that no enemy will harbor evil thoughts about laying its hands on Iranian territory," Ahmadinejad said at the parade marking National Army Day. The speech was broadcast live on state TV, which also showed segments of the parade.Ahmadinejad also urged the U.S. to stop supporting Israel and to dismantle the American military presence in the Middle East and Afghanistan.
Tehran sees American troops on its doorstep in Iraq, Afghanistan and the Persian Gulf as a threat, and Ahmadinejad reiterated his allegations that the U.S. presence is the source of the region's instability."They have to leave our region, this is not a request, it is an order from the nations of the region. It is the will of the regional nations," said Ahmadinejad. "If they are interested in helping the security of the region, they have to dismantle their military presence in the region and stop supporting Israel."

In the meantime, Israel issues a stern missive to Syria.

'Hizbullah a division of Syrian army'
By JPOST.COM STAFF 18/04/2010
Israel has warned Syrian President Bashar Assad that any missile attack against Israel by Hizbullah would result in retaliation against Syria, the Sunday Times reported on Sunday.
According to the UK paper, Israel’s missive – sent earlier in April – defined Hizbullah as a “division of the Syrian army,” a military branch of Damascus in Lebanon. The warning was reportedly delivered to Damascus by a third party.
All in all, I would say the baiting of Israel is coming from all sides, including the White House. Brace yourselves! As you see this catastrophe approaching, it would probably be wise to get serious in your church attendance. "Especially as you see 'that day' approaching." See you there!

Ahmadenijad wants to Marry Obama....sort of!

The other day someone asked me why it was so vital that the United States support Israel. This person was thinking in terms of Palestinian suffering at the hands of the Israelis.....something that has been carefully cultivated for the last decades, ignoring the fact that Palestinian suffering can be more directly laid at the feet of Radical Islam.
My answer is based on an everlasting covenant rather than any interpretation of current cultural conditions. It really would be nice if they could all get along, but that is simply not going to happen. Radical Islam is growing, and its intent is to take the land it believes was mis-inherited. Islam believes Ishmael was slighted by Abraham when it came to the inheritance. The Holy Land represents that inheritance. If the Jews (Isaac's illegally occupying offspring) can be pushed into the sea, radicalized Muslims believe there will be few roadblocks remaining to the Islamification of the world. The Jews, and all who stand with them, must be eliminated.
However, God spoke through the Psalmist and said that the covenant with Abraham was everlasting and perpetual. (Psalm 105) So, we have a problem.
It is clear to me that by forsaking Israel, the current administration is forsaking any future the United States might have enjoyed. The nation has turned so far away from God that its leadership finds it easy to take the last step toward condemnation.
Somehow, the Iranian Idiot-in-Chief understands this on some level. Read this article from the Debkafile and see how Obama is, on some level, buying into thinking that is askew.

Ahmadinejad: Iran is Obama's way to stay in power
DEBKAfile Special Report April 16, 2010

With typical provocative arrogance, Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has said in a letter addressed to the US president that Barack Obama's power and success depends on Iran. Disclosing this Friday, April 16, the Iranian leader promised to publish the letter soon. "Obama should start cooperating with us in practice," he said. "We don't need you to do anything for us to come out of isolation, rather we want to help you come out of isolation."
On the US push for sanctions against Iran's nuclear program, he wrote: "The time when they can imagine they can do Iran any harm is over." The US cannot dominate the Middle East without Iran, he added. "The nuclear issue veils America's real intentions."
debkafile's Iranian sources reveal that the Iranian president's comment on the veil over America's real intentions refers to the Obama administration's behind-the-scenes contacts with Iran in which they are engaged in drawing the dividing lines of influence between the US and Iran in the Middle East and Persian Gulf. This is going on behind Obama's strong public condemnations of Tehran.
The discreet dialogue surfaced in the Iranian leader's avowed willingness to cooperate with Obama, hinting at an arrangement acknowledging Iran's supremacy as the regional power at Israel's expense.
Israeli leaders have failed so far to initiate assertive steps to counter-balance this unspoken process.
Ahmadinejad is clearly encouraged by the anti-Israeli rhetoric he hears from President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the way administration officials link the Netanyahu government's policies towards the Palestinians with the loss of American lives in Afghanistan and Iraq.
debkafile's Middle East sources stress that US-Iranian cooperation is already well in progress in Beirut, where Tehran's surrogate, Hizballah, has been co-opted to government and parliament with veto powers over their decisions; in Yemen, where Iran withdrew its backing from the Houthi rebels in a deal brokered by Syria; and in Baghdad, where Iyad Allawi, whose Al Iraqiya part won the general elections, was left no choice but to travel to Tehran to obtain Iran's blessing for his government coalition.
While still militarily present in Iraq, Washington has come to terms with the fact that even a pro-western Iraqi ruler who won office in a US-sponsored election cannot form a stable government without presenting himself cap in hand in Tehran.
Ahmadinejad is clearly willing to expand this profitable "cooperation" with the Obama administration to other Middle East spheres and so avoid a showdown over Iran's nuclear aspirations.
Where does this leave Israel?

War With Hezbollah Imminent--Warns the King

New Warning of Israel-Hezbollah War comes from Jordan's King Abdullah
He called it "Imminent"

A war between Israel and Hizbollah that could spread across the Middle East is "imminent", King Abdullah of Jordan has warned the US. The British Telegraph reported that The king, in Washington for President Barack Obama's nuclear summit, gave his warning after Israel claimed that Syria had handed over Scud missiles in its armoury to the Lebanon-based Hizbollah. His comments, made in a private meeting of the US Congressional Friends of Jordan caucus, were said to be "sobering."
Syria yesterday denied the allegation that it has provided Hizbollah with long-range Scud missiles, (upgraded by three generations since the first gulf war) which would allow the terrorist army to target all of Israel's cities. Syria's foreign ministry said the claims were being used as a pretext by Israel to raise tension prior to a possible attack on Hizbollah. "For some time now, Israel has been running a campaign claiming that Syria has been supplying Hizbollah with Scud missiles in Lebanon ," a foreign ministry statement said, but the statement did not rule out an alternative possibility being raised by defence sources, that Damascus has allowed Hizbollah control of or access to Scud missiles still currently in Syria .
Similar sources say that Syria has trained Hizbollah operatives on advanced anti-aircraft batteries, possibly a more useful tool since Hizbollah – and the Lebanese army - fears the overwhelming air superiority enjoyed by Israeli jets.
The Obama administration voiced alarm, though one source said it was still not certain whether the transfer of scuds from Syria to Hezbollah had actually taken place. "We are obviously increasingly concerned about the sophisticated weaponry that is allegedly being transferred," said Robert Gibbs, the White House spokesman. "We have expressed our concerns to those governments and believe that steps should be taken to reduce any risk and any danger." Again, all that the US offered is talk and alarm.
Ehud Barak, the Israeli defence minister, said that the alleged transfer would alter the strategic balance of power between Hizbollah and Israel, which fought a short but bloody war in 2006. If this is the case, Israel will be forced to act soon on at least four fronts: Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas in Gaza, Syria, and Iran.

Scuds Positioned on Lebanese Border...Ready to Cross

Scud missiles? Not Yet Across Syrian-Lebanese Border
DEBKAfile Exclusive Report April 14, 2010

Syria has not actually delivered Scud missiles, A or SS-1B, to the Hizballah in Lebanon - only positioned them on the border ready for transit at a moment's notice - and taught two Hizballah brigades how to use them, debkafile's military sources report in the wake of a flurry of press reports, according to which these ground missiles have already been smuggled into Lebanon in violation of UN resolutions. Israel has warned Damascus via Washington that their crossover into Lebanon would bring forth Israeli military action to destroy the missiles and their bases on both sides of the border. Our sources add that Syria engineered the reports originating in the Kuwait Al Rai al Yaam in order to show Israel up to the American and Middle East public as unable to follow through on its warnings and just a paper tiger.Israel is especially sensitive to the prospect of Scud missiles in the hands of Iran's Lebanese proxy, Hizballah, for two reasons:
1. Their range is 700 km, more than double the 300 km-range generally reported. What they lack in precision, they more than make up for in the distance of their reach; they would enable Hizballah for the first time to hit the big Israeli air bases in the southern Negev, twice as far from the Lebanese border as Tel Aviv.
2. The Scud A or SS-1B are self-propelled, and therefore highly mobile and maneuverable and requiring relatively small teams and few vehicles for their operation. This would render their Hizballah operators less susceptible to Israel air attack. When in the second half of March, the Obama learned of Syria's preparations to arm Hizballah with these Scuds, the White House sent John Kerry, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, to intercede with President Bashar Assad. At their meeting in Damascus on April 1, Assad denied the missiles had been smuggled into Lebanon, but he kept to himself the information that they were poised on the border for transfer and that two Hizballah brigades had been trained to fire them.
In consequence, Robert Ford, named as first US ambassador to Damascus in five years, was told to wait before taking up his post and the Senate procedure for his confirmation delayed. On Tuesday, April 13, Sen. Kerry's spokesman said: "These weapons transfers must stop in order to promote regional stability and security."Israel's defense minister Ehud Barak said the Scuds, if they were delivered, "would alter the balance of strength in the region and threaten its stability and calm." He said the military build-up in Lebanon "is a clear violation of Security Council resolutions."
Barak made it clear that Israel has "no belligerent intentions" towards Lebanon, adding: "We recommend that everyone maintain the calm."
