Obama/Clinton Threats Reveal a Shallow View of Israel

A true friend does not issue threats about their relationship being at risk! Then again, why is the Obama administration continually downgrading its support of the ONLY democratic nation in the Middle East?

Here's what I've learned.....nothing surprising here.

1. In regards all his policies, foreign or domestic, President Obama has no desire to listen to the people of the United States. The fact is 83% of America's population supports Israel and believes no more concessions should be forced on the Jewish State.

2. Barrack Obama's agenda is pro-Muslim. Does that mean he is a Muslim? Not necessarily, but he sure loves to court them "the World of Islam" in every way he can. (Yes, I know he was educated in a Wahabi School in Indonesia.)

3. The worldview held by the president is much different than mine, or the majority of Americans. He is a globalist, and believes that all human beings are inherently good...meaning, people can fix their own problems if they work together. My worldview says man is inherently a sinner and desperately needs a redeemer and righteous leader. (Jesus, of course, fills that bill in every way. But globalists don't want or need Jesus...they want to unite us all under their leadership.)

So, we are seeing a massive clash of worldviews. Israel is, and will continue to be, stuck between the two.

Clinton Warns Netanyahu US-Israeli Relations at Risk

The crisis in US-Israeli relations took a sharp turn for the worse Friday night, March 12, with a phone call from US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton warning Israeli prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu that the relationship was at risk unless Israel toed the administration's line in renewed talks with the Palestinians. Israel must take immediate steps to demonstrate it was interested in renewing efforts for a Middle East agreement, he was told - a reference to sweeping concessions, including halting construction in Jerusalem.

It was the sudden announcement of an added 1,600 homes in East Jerusalem's Ramat Shlomo in the middle of Vice President Joe Biden's visit which tipped the already tense relations into this crisis. Netanyahu told Biden it had come about without his knowledge. Two days after Biden condemned the announcement, Clinton delivered a tough message, saying Washington considered the announcement "a deeply negative signal about Israel's approach to the bilateral relationship and counter to the spirit of the vice president's trip." She said she could not understand how this happened, "particularly in light of the US strong commitment to Israel's security." The administration is clearly taking advantage of the weakness Netanyahu projected during the Biden visit to swallow its Iran policy, over which Israel feels it has been jilted, as well as its Palestinian policy.

Though it makes me sick, and I will do everything I can to persuade our leaders to turn from this disastrous policy shift away from Israel, the truth is God has it all under control. Stay focused on that! Pray for an awakening among Jews and Muslims alike. Jesus died for all of them....and Americans too.
