Tensions Mount in the Middle East

Tension in the Middle East continues to mount.

---The Islamic regime of President Erdogan of Turkey has taken the measure of arresting Army Generals with the potential of staging a coup. In 1929, Turkey was organized in such a way that if the government attempted to move toward an Islamic dictatorship against the constitution, the military has the right to step in and restore a moderate, non-radical administration. Erdogan just removed that threat and will take Turkey completely into the Iranian model of Islamic rule. Alignment to prophecy? According to Ezekiel 38-39, Turkey is a full-fledged member of the Magog Coalition that will attack Israel in the near future. So is Iran!

---Senators John Kerry and Richard Lugar slam Israel for not conceding to further Palestinian demands in order to bring peace to the region. Both sited the fallacious Goldstone Report. They also accused President Obama of not being hard enough on Israel. hmm

-Little is coming by way of the American, left-wing, drive-by media. As always, US media outlets are more concerned with helping the Obama Administration push OBAMACARE down the throats two thirds of a population that wants nothing to do with it. It looks as if Obama is literally the BLIND leading the BLIND.

HOWEVER, from all indications, the situation is worse than blindness and neophytism. What is happening is a concentrated effort to collapse the foundations of the UNITED STATES of AMERICA. By swelling government until it is too big to fail, and by regulating Americans until they cannot sleep unless it is on a government approved pillowcase, Americans are losing freedom.

BUT, this still does not define why America is on the precipice of falling into the trash heap of history. Neither is rampant homosexuality, abortion, crime, evolution, throwing God out of schools, or American Christianity's devaluing of the Word of God. (Although the last part has much do do with our current direction.)

JUDGMENT is coming our way for our continuing rejection of God's covenant people. God stipulated the criteria by which nations would be blessed and cursed in Genesis 12:1-3. "Now the Lord said to Abram, Go from your country and your kindred and your father's house to the land that I will show you. And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed."

So, what shall we do?

1. Fight government takeover of your life by making your voice heard.

2. Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem!

3. Understand that people are open to the Gospel of Jesus Christ RIGHT NOW!

Yesterday, I took my wife down to apply for a US Passport. She had to report in person to the proper USPS local. As she was filling out the form, the US Postal worker behind the counter asked if I'd heard that Taiwan had experienced an earthquake. We then talked about Chile, Haiti, and the New Madrid fault line. Get this.... She asked, "Why are all these things happening?" Shazaaam! People want to know. I asked her, "Do you have a Bible?" She said "yes." I asked, "Do you read it?" She took out a pen and piece of paper as she said, "Yes." I shared with her Jesus' words of Matthew 24 and explained what he meant. When she saw how Jesus said the end would come as earthquakes, wars, and rumors of war would increase like the pangs of a woman in labor, the shortness of time became very clear. By the end of the day, I bet she had her heart in a place in which the Spirit of God could speak to her.

OPPORTUNITIES ABOUND for those who are truly looking to share. FEAR will take hold of everyone else. In which of these two categories are you found? Now that is the question.
