In Our Times....Helen Thomas'es are Allowed

I stand firm in believing we are living at the most pivotal time in history since the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Biblical prophecy, since 1948, has been playing out at an ever-increasing pace. In my mind I think of a locomotive starting out from the station.....slowly at first, one chug at a time, but as it picks up steam, the chugs become faster and rhythmic. Prophetically, this is exactly what has happened since Israel was recognized as a nation for the first time in 2,500 years.

America, through President Harry S. Truman, was one of the first to recognize the right of existence for the Jews and the new State of Israel. That recognition and subsequent friendship became a catalyst for the rise of the United States into world leadership. Although we sold our soul to the oil barons of Arabia, Israel remained our only true ally in the Middle East.....that is until a man with no historic American ties ascended to the White House. Not to lay all the blame on Barrack Obama, many before him began to hold Israel at arms length and use her to build some sort of legacy of peace. Jimmy Carter was the worst until recently. He has proven himself an anti-Semite of the highest proportions. Ronald Reagan could have stayed the course and used American power in Lebanon. Instead, after the Marines were violently car-bombed, he pulled out and left Israel to its own devices. George Bush the First, did very little. Bill Clinton was bamboozled by Arafat and his sweet smile. George W pressured Israel to make continual concessions on his Road Map to Peace. But it is BO that has really turned away from the covenant blessings of friendship with Israel in order to embrace the false, and deadly religion of Islam. Shame on him. Shame on us for allowing it to happen.

In other times, Hearst Newspapers White House Correspondent Helen Thomas's demand that the Jews "get the hell out of Palestine," and go back to Poland, Germany and America would have been front page news in every newspaper in the US the day after the story broke.

In other times, had the dean of the White House Correspondents Association expressed such hatred for the Jews, the White House would have immediately removed her accreditation rather than wait three days to criticize her.

In other times, the White House Correspondents Association would have expelled her.In other times, her employer - Hearst Newspapers - would have fired her.But in our times, it took days for anyone other than Jews and conservatives to condemn Thomas's vile statements to Rabbi David Nesenoff. And she was not fired. She was allowed to retire.Our times are times of Jew hatred. Our times are times when hatred breeds strategic madness. Our times are times when we need to recall basic truths about Israel and the Jewish people. Specifically, we must remember that the US is privileged to count Israel as an ally – whether Americans like Jews and our state or hate us.

The SAD COMMENTARY is that hatred for Israel is growing within the confines of a decadent administration in Washington.
