More Pressure to Talk Without Preconditions

US: Time now for Israeli-Palestinian peace talks
(AP) –
WASHINGTON — The Obama administration says the time has come for Israel and the Palestinians to begin direct peace negotiations without preconditions.
The State Department said Tuesday that several rounds of indirect discussions mediated by special Mideast envoy George Mitchell have gone as far as they can go. Spokesman P.J. Crowley said the two sides need to sit down together to air their grievances.
The U.S. and Israel have been calling for direct talks for some time, but the Palestinians have balked.
Crowley said Mitchell will return to the region in the coming days to press the matter further.

This may sound good, but remember, all Israel is asking as a precondition is that the Palestinians recognize her right to exist. Barrack Obama's pressure is to leave everything but dividing the land off the table. My guess is that Netanyahu will acquiesce and come to the table. He is running out of options if he wants to stave off a war. My question is will anything, or any peace talks, hold back what is prophesied? Maybe for the short term....but no peace will be lasting in the Middle East.
