The Harping You Hear is the Truth

I know I keeping sounding off on an issue the rest of the world seems to be ignoring. Perhaps that is because the world is Biblically illiterate. The Bible holds no relevance, nor does God, at least to those who "professing themselves to be wise have become fools."
The question is not belief, but the relevance of the Truth. The Bible is the Truth, the written Word of God that will stand forever. Therefore, the prophecies contained therein are part and parcel to the Truth. Though it would be convenient to ignore the fulfillment of those prophecies, we are admonished by the Word itself to be ALERT, WATCHFUL, AWARE....and so on and so forth. For a few weeks now I have been attempting to sound an alert about an important prophetic fulfillment. It concerns a long-missing piece of the Ezekiel 38 and 39 puzzle, namely, Turkey!
Turkey is listed as a member nation of the Magog coalition. It's ancient names are Gomer and Togarmah, sons of Japheth that settled in the region that stretches from west of the Black Seat to east of the Caspian Sea. Scholars have wrestled over the identification of Gomer and Togarmah for years, but all are agreed that the Turkey is at least part of that identification. Until the last few months, Turkey has been an ally and trading partner with Israel. It had leaned pro-west for the last two decades. It is a member of NATO and has sought membership in the European Union, that is until the radical Islamist bent Tayyip Erdagon was elected as the Turkish Prime Minister. (READ the last few blogs on Turkey to learn more.)
I have been watching closely for Turkey's turn away from Israel and to the Islamic coalition that will be led by Russia. (Not so strange when you realize much of the Russian Federation is made up of Islamic Republics.) It began in January when Israel finally invaded Gaza to stop the launching of missiles at civilians. Two weeks ago, Turkey kissed up to Syria after years of animus. NOW...it is IRAN getting the hugs and kisses. Read the article below from today's Jerusalem Post (Oct. 26, 2009) and you will see why I now believe the turning of Turkey (no pun intended) is complete. This is a slam dunk for Magog. (Actually, God is the one orchestrating the events. Magog just thinks he is winning.)
Ahmadinejad: 'The Zionist regime is a threat to all nations'
By AP AND JPOST.COM STAFF

"The Zionist regime is a threat to all nations ... it cannot tolerate the existence of any strong country in the region," said Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Tuesday, according to Teheran news agency Press TV.

Ahmadinejad spoke after welcoming Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who arrived in Teheran Tuesday for a two-day visit.
Iran's president praised Erdogan's stance over Israeli-Palestinian conflict, saying the Turkish leader's "clear stance toward the Zionist regime has had a positive impact on the world of Islam."
At an international conference in January, Erdogan strongly condemned Israel's offensive in Gaza and the steep Palestinian casualties inflicted there. The Iranian leader is known for his anti-Israeli remarks since 2005, when he said the Jewish state should be "wiped off the map."

Ahmadinejad lashed out at Israel, which is believed to have nuclear weapons, saying that when an "illegal regime has atomic weapons, it's impossible to block others" from having peaceful nuclear energy.
The Iranian leader was echoing statements voiced by Erdogan in the Guardian on Monday, accusing the five permanent Security Council members of hypocrisy. While these countries put pressure on Iran, which does not have "a weapon," he said, they themselves keep nuclear arsenals for military purposes.

During the Guardian interview, Erdogan also referred to reports saying Israel or other Western countries were planning to carry out what he termed a "crazy" attack against Iran in lieu of sanctions or negotiations.
"On the one hand you say you want global peace, on the other hand you are going to have such a destructive approach to a state which has 10,000 years of history. It is not correct," he was quoted as saying, adding that Ankara was firm in its belief that Teheran's nuclear program was peaceful.
Ahmadinejad reportedly suggested that if Turkey and Iran "reinforce their unity, they will overcome serious threats and make use of opportunities in favor of their own nations."
So, there you have it. The alliance is forming. Things are happening at lightning speed, so don't forget to look up once in a while to see that your redemption is drawing near. (Remember that nothing stands in the way of the imminent return of Jesus for his Bride.)
What's next? I am so glad that God is the one ordering events and we can do nothing more than speculate upon the intricacies of prophecy. We have the BIG PICTURE, but each little step is barely educated guesswork. However, the Lord calls us to some very specific duties as we watch this drama unfold. They are;
1. "Abide in Me, and I will abide in you."
2. "Make disciples of all nations."
3. "Pray that the Lord of the harvest will send forth workers."
4. "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself."
5. "Watch and pray!"
6. "Obey!"
7. "Do not fear."
(This by no means is an exhaustive list....there isn't enough room in the blog to relate all that Jesus commanded. I recommend the four gospels for intensive study:)
