Magog Meddling

It is indisputable that Gog, chief prince of Magog in Ezekiel 38 and 39 is referring to the land area known today as Russia. Gog forms a coalition that the Lord will bring from the north to attack Israel. It is written! It will happen!

The question for us is if the coalition has already formed.

An OpEd in the Jerusalem Post gives stark indication that Gog and Magog are on the move.

The Russians have pledged that state-of-the-art weaponry they are insistently marketing to Syria – despite entreaties from both Israel and the US – won’t end up in Hizbullah hands. This, regardless of the fact that during 2006’s Second Lebanon War, Hizbullah deployed Russian-made anti-tank missiles that had been supplied to it by Damascus. Some such missiles fell into IDF hands still bearing original Russian insignia, which nobody had bothered erasing.

This and many more examples of blatant Syrian-Hizbullah collusion prove that the latest Russian undertakings cannot be relied upon. We don’t know why Russia makes these hollow promises. Surely, it knows that Israel dare not take them seriously. If anything, what the Russians continue to do, vis-à-vis both Syria and Iran, detracts from Russia’s claims, and its ostensible desire, to be a neutral force for peace. It also detracts from the welcome impact of its apparent decision to cancel the supply to Teheran of high-precision air-defense missiles.

Israel implored Russia not to sell Syria advanced rocketry, like the P-800 Yakhont cruise missiles. During his recent visit to Moscow, Defense Minister Ehud Barak reportedly lobbied hard against the sale. The Americans likewise did their bit, just as they had earlier tried to dissuade Russia from beginning the startup of Iran’s only nuclear power plant.

Hence, when it emerged that the Syrian transaction had not been put on hold, Russia not only disdainfully slapped Israel, it equally rebuffed the US.Why would it do so? With the Cold War presumably long behind us, one might have expected to see the emergence of a cooperative rather than an obstructionist Russia. Yet Moscow’s behavior too often seems eerily reminiscent of the defunct Soviet Union.Instead of moving forward as a genuine free-world democracy, Moscow can appear to be donning the trappings of democracy while performing inconceivable stunts of realpolitik acrobatics. It’s not an outright foe but neither is it quite the dependable friend. And it is very obviously determined to stake its claim to superpower status by forging foreign policies that, from these shores, sometimes appear to counter free-world interests, Israeli interests and, when it comes to enabling Iranian nuclear progress, even Russia’s own interests.
Evidently Moscow does not wish to appear to be dancing to Washington’s tune. But there are times when it’s almost as if Russia relishes being unpredictable and inscrutable. It canceled delivery of S-300 surface-to-air missiles to Iran, yet persists in efforts to weaken sanctions against the ayatollahs.And the fact that the current American administration is regarded in Moscow as naïve plainly only emboldens Dmitry Medvedev and Vladimir Putin.

THE WEST, meanwhile, chronically fails in its strategic assessments of post-USSR Russia. Western intelligence has tended, especially initially, to exude unjustified optimism regarding the new Kremlin, despite the decisive ongoing influence of ex-KGB officers, Putin foremost. This is particularly significant in our context.

In his book The White House Years, former US secretary of state Henry Kissinger astutely observed that the USSR’s animus toward Israel did not arise from the Soviets’ hobnobbing with the Arabs, but, rather, that it was often the Soviets who encouraged Arab antagonism and steered it forward with refurbished and modernized tactics.

With the influence of former Soviet personnel still rife, it is worrying to see signs of a Russian regression toward a revised version of yesteryear’s Cold War, albeit in lower profile.Moscow’s chumminess with prime terror-sponsors like Syria is a dangerous case in point, especially given Syria’s open commitment to making its weaponry available to Hizbullah.

The insistent equipping of Syria with Russian technology cannot be explained away with promises that it won’t end up in terrorists’ hands when all the recent evidence is to the contrary. The assistance with Iran’s nuclear program is similarly irresponsible. It becomes ever-harder to avoid the conclusion that Russia deliberately fishes in murky waters, looking to align itself with countries inherently inimical to the West and thereby to consolidate a global counterweight bloc.

Israel has important interests in Russia, but it cannot afford to delude itself about the dangers presented by some of Moscow’s other partnerships.

The latest arms deal with Syria is a potential game-changer given our sensitive regional balance of power. So was Russia’s fueling of Iran’s reactor in Bushehr. And such moves are intrinsically un-befitting conduct for a member of the Quartet, an international body that purports to have the best interests of all would-be peaceful regional players at heart.

The Turkey Twist

As I mentioned in yesterday's post (July 23, 2010), Turkey has made the full swing towards radical, anti-Israeli Islam and the leadership in Israel doesn't want to admit it.

Carolyn Glick of the Jerusalem Post had these words;

Change has come to the Middle East. Over the past several weeks, multiple press reports indicate that Turkey is collaborating militarily with Syria in a campaign against the Kurds of Syria, Iraq and Turkey.

Turkey is a member of NATO. It fields the Western world’s top weapons systems. Syria is Iran’s junior partner. It is a state sponsor of multiple terrorist organizations and a proliferator of weapons of mass destruction.

Last September, as Turkey’s Islamist government escalated its anti-Israel rhetoric, Ankara and Damascus signed a slew of economic and diplomatic agreements. As Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu made clear at the time, Turkey was using those agreements as a way to forge close alliances not only with Syria, but with Iran.

“We may establish similar mechanisms with Iran and other mechanisms. We want our relationship with our neighbors to turn into maximum cooperation via the principle of zero problems,” Davutoglu proclaimed.

And now those agreements have reportedly paved the way to military cooperation. Syrian President Bashar Assad has visited Istanbul twice in the past month and then two weeks ago, on the Kurdish New Year, Syrian forces launched an operation against Kurdish population centers throughout the country. On Wednesday, Al-Arabiya reported that hundreds of Kurds have been killed in recent weeks

Turkey Moving Rapidly to Develop Nuclear Weapons

Very senior sources in Israel, Russia, and the U.S. have privately expressed concern that Turkey is proceeding with its nuclear weapons program, and that Turkey has obtained a significant knowledge of nuclear weapons technology, protocols, and operational doctrine from its association with NATO and Israel. Moreover, officials in Israel, Russia, and the U.S. are fully aware that neither the Turkish Government nor the Turkish military pays any attention to confidentiality clauses, end user certificates, or use strictures on weapons, intelligence, or defense systems made available to Turkey by its allies. One Israeli official told GIS/Defense & Foreign Affairs:
"We are all fully aware that when the Turkish Armed Forces invaded Cyprus in 1974 they did so using U.S. military equipment in defiance of the use strictures placed on that equipment when it was provided by the U.S. to Turkey. Today, Turkey is in open violation of all of its agreements with the U.S. and Israel with regard to the U.S. and Israeli military systems which are the backbone of the Turkish Armed Forces now occupying Northern Cyprus." This was the first disclosure that Israeli military equipment was being used by the Turkish military in Cyprus, and that this was a violation of understandings between Turkey and Israel when the equipment was supplied.

Again, the signs are present that the Magog coalition is solidifying, at least in direction. Iran and Russia are currently having a spat over President Medvedev's agreement to withhold delivery of the S-300 Anti-missile/aircraft system to Iran. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is royally ticked and accusing Russia of collusion with the evil West. Amazing!

With Syria becoming more aggressive by the day, Israel will soon be forced to deal with them, as well as admitting that Turkey as twisted out of its alliance with the Jews.

  Russian President, Dymetry Medvedev, signaled during a Wednesday visit to Syria that Russia would be willing to help get Syria back on track with its nuclear program. As you recall, Israel bombed a reactor being built by the North Koreans in the Syrian desert. Now, Medvedev says "Cooperation on atomic energy could get a second wind." What is Syria's significance in prophecy?..... Isaiah 17 tells us that Damascus is soon to be destroyed, probably in a nuclear exchange with Israel. The oldest city in the world that has yet to have been destroyed will be removed from existence in an overnight attack. Of course, Russia's significance in the world of end time events is clearly seen in Ezekiel 38 and 39. Known as Magog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, Russia is now moving behind the scenes with the intent to control the entire Middle East....including Israel.

There you have it for May 14, 2010.....staying abreast of what is happening will help you be ready for what is soon to take place. As prophetic events unfold, one thing you should take from it all is the knowledge that God's Word is absolutely and utterly trustworthy. This is not only true for prophecy, but for every area of your daily life. Get into the Bible. Read it. Absorb it. Ask the Holy Spirit to illuminate it to your heart. He will do just that!

The Commander in SCHMUCK!

I Offer Several Observations....things that are as clear as day, as large as the nose between my eyes, and as obvious as my morning need for coffee.

1. President Barrack Obama is a SCHMUCK

Not only did he brazenly lay out his requirements for the re-establishment of good will between the USA and Israel, he abruptly stood up from the dinner he and Benjamin Netanyahu were sharing and stated, "I am going to eat with Michelle and the girls. I'll come back when you have an answer!" The only word that can be used for the way the President is treating our closest ally is SCHMUCK. (BTW, I still pray for him every day...for God to awaken his heart to the truth so we can live in peace.)

2. President Barrack Obama is either ignorant of the true, dangerous nature of Middle East politics, or he is a member of a sleeper cell that has been waiting to bring about Israel's removal from the planet. (That idea was offered by a guy in my church....and he has a point.

3. Hillary Clinton is nothing more, nor does she even have the force of a Yapping Dog! This is not a personal attack...but a diplomatic fact!

4. While the President gloats over this victory in taking over the American Constitution, while his administration mocks the American people, while Israel is flung under the bus, while Washington thumbs its nose at the Almighty, God simply laughs. These people are REALLY SMALL, the the last laugh will always belong to God.

5. While our SCHMUCK in Chief continues to wage a ridiculous war on God's covenant people, the Iranians progress toward the NUKE. Russia is helping them. Turkey is distracting Israel again, Hezbollah and Hamas have become even more entrenched, the EU has endorsed the anti-Semetic Goldstone report, half of Europe has called for the UN to forcibly divide Israel and Jerusalem, and on on it goes.

6. As Obama tightens the screws on Israel to make overwhelming concessions (which they will not do), the Palestinians have done, and continue to do nothing as an overture of desiring peace.

Palestinian leader insists on settlement halt for Israel talks
Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas at an Arab summit on Saturday ruled out US-brokered indirect talks with Israel unless the Jewish state stops building settlements.

"We cannot resume indirect negotiations as long as Israel maintains its settlement policy and the status quo," Abbas said at the opening session of the two-day summit.

His comments came shortly after UN chief Ban Ki-moon urged Arab leaders to help facilitate the indirect "proximity" talks and stressed in a speech at the summit that "Jerusalem's significance to all must be respected, and it should emerge from negotiations as the capital of two states."

Israel angered the world community when it announced plans earlier this year to build 1,600 new homes for Jewish settlers in predominantly Arab east Jerusalem.

So, there you have it for MARCH 27, 2010. What does it mean for the believer in Jesus? If the prophecies of the coming wars of Psalm 82, and Ezekiel 38-39 are this obvious, shouldn't the prophecy of Jesus coming for his Bride be taking our breath away? Work while it is still day. Night is on the way. Unstop your ears and start listening for the trumpet as you share Christ with everyone possible. No matter how much time we might have left (which could be days, months, or years) we must be about our Father's business. Stick with it. Hang in there. We win!

Is the Ezekiel Prophecy Nearing Fulfillment?

While surfing the other day, not in the ocean but on the web, I came across a popular teacher of end-times prophecy. His article captured my attention because of the theme he was stressing. He was basically saying that the Ezekiel 38 and 39 prophecy of the Gog/Magog war is nowhere near fulfillment. His premise was simple. He based his opinion solely on Ezekiel 38:10 which speaks of the waring coalition thinking to itself; "I will go up against a land of unwalled villages..."

Interestingly, the man's premise was that there had to be some sort of peace agreement put into place that would cause Israel to disarm...or at least feel so at peace that it would not have to defend itself. Not wanting to brush aside his opinion, I decided to do a bit of a word study in order to get at the bottom of the text. I wanted to see what the words meant in the Hebrew, the original language of Ezekiel. This is what I found and how I put it all together. Warning: this is how I read the text by using the original language. Things may play out quite differently, and God is the sovereign one here. However, I calls em like I sees em!

First, it is God that instigates the movement of the peoples led by Magog. In Ezekiel 38:10, the Lord is the one who puts the thought into Magog's head....God is the one that puts the spin on what Magog is going to be thinking. Here is what it says.

"This is what the sovereign Lord says; On that day thoughts will come into your head and you will devise and evil scheme. You will say, "I will invade a land of unwalled villages; I will attack a peaceful and unsuspecting people, all of them living without gates and without bars."

On the surface this sounds like a land that has given up arms and is completely at peace. But remember, this is a thought that is evil...devoid of truth....and does not necessarily mean Israel will be living as peaceniks. Unbarred windows and ungated doors speaks of openness as well as a state of peace. The word for "unwalled villages" is perazah....which literally means an open country and also conveys a message of "ripe for the picking."

Then comes the word "safely." Verse 14 says this; "...In that day, when my people Israel are living safely" some translations say.. "living in safety." Again, my prophecy teaching friend surmised that Israel's safety is the result of some sort of peace agreement. So, let's look at the word a little more closely.

Betach is the word used. It means safety, yes, but it also is used many times in the Old Testament to describe strength and security. In other words, safety is a matter of being secure and strong enough to insure safety. It is much like the old Cold War. America was safe from nuclear attack, not because we are nice guys, but because we have enough fire power to obliterate anyone who would try to harm us. Could "betach" be portraying the same sense in verse 14? If you put the unwalled village...or open country...with security, you may get a different picture than the one given by the guys who believe there will be a peace agreement.

Remember, other scripture has to come into play. I speak of Psalm 83, Jeremiah 12, Ezekiel 25, and Obadiah 15-18. Those passages give clear indication that the nations immediately surrounding Israel are going to manufacture an attempt to destroy the Jews once and for all. Ezekiel 25 clearly states that the Lord will use his people Israel to exact vengeance on those nations so that they would know that "I am" is the Lord. Isaiah 17 also gives the prophetic word that Damascus would be destroyed....not in the Ezekiel 38-39 attack, but before. Israel will have responded to the threat by destroying the enemies that are closest to it. I would say that constitutes security. I can also imagine that in the immediate aftermath Israel will become unsuspecting of a greater invasion perpetrated by Russia, Turkey, Iran, and others.

God will use Israel's strength to do the job in round one. However, round two will happen quickly and with such overwhelming ferocity that God will have to intervene for his covenant people. He will be the one that destroys Gog and his hordes on the mountains of Israel. PTL

If you are following my take on the coming events, you can clearly see that round one could happen at any moment. This is especially so if Israel takes the first step by attacking Iran's nuclear facilities. I don't believe Israel would do anything more than attack the facilities. They might even wipe them out. But you can also imagine that nations like Jordan, Syria, Saudia Arabia, Lebanon, and the Palestinians in Gaza would be so alarmed and angered that there response would be an immediate uprising. Israel will be forced to respond with enough response to remove the threat. A spiral toward the Ezekiel 38 and 39 prophecy would be created.

To look for the signing of some agreement that would bring sweeping peace to the region should probably be left for those hunting of the anti-christ. It is time to pray and prepare now for the immediate aftermath of the above scenario, for it is the moment that I believe we will see the greatest period of evangelism the world has ever, or will ever know.

EU Ultimatum To Force Palestinian State Within Six Months

This just in from Israel Insider, a watchdog organization seeking to inform the world of the dangers confronting Israel. Much of what is below has been ignored by the American media. But I have verified this report through similar articles in the Jerusalem Post and Debka Files. This might be frightening if we didn't know it was already written in advance....by about 2500 years. (See Ezekiel 38 and 39 concerning the Gog and Mag War. Biblical Prophecy Rocks!)


The European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana said on Saturday that the United Solution should recognize a Palestinian state even if no peace accord had been reached between Israel and the Palestinians by the deadline, which reports have indicated to be some six months from now. "After a fixed deadline, a UN Security Council resolution should proclaim the adoption of the two-state solution" including issues such as borders, refugees, control Jerusalem and security arrangements. "It would accept the Palestinian state as a full member of the UN, and set a calendar for implementation. It would mandate the resolution of other remaining territorial disputes and legitimize the end of claims," he said."If the parties are not able to stick to it [the schedule], then a solution backed by the international community should be tabled," he added.


The Foreign Ministry on Sunday dismissed the call as "dangerous," saying in a statement: "Resolutions 242 and 338 of the United Nations, the roadmap [peace plan] and agreements between Israel and the Palestinians all cautiously determine that the solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict will only be reached through negotiations by the sides." The Ministry added: "Israel has called more than once for the immediate renewal of the talks without preconditions. Another demand setting an artificial deadline endangers and harms the chances of actually reaching a bilateral agreement between Israel and the Palestinians."The Palestinians have said they will not revive peace talks unless there is a halt to Israel's settlement activities in the West Bank. They believe that US President's Obama position supports their refusal to attend talks.

My goodness. If I didn't know better, I would think the world is turning against the existence of Israel. (That was sarcasm at its finest. WAKE UP...the world IS turning against Israel.) Stay tuned.

Voters Remorse...As Obama Turns Against Israel?

It seems people have a knack for waking up at the very worst point of a nightmare. The heart races, sweat breaks out, but the nightmare wasn't reality, so recovery takes place quickly. However, what we are seeing with the Obama Administration is not some fuzzy dream. It is reality, and the wake-up call has come eight months too late. READ the following from noted syndicated columnist, Alan Dershowitz.

Many American supporters of Israel who voted for Barack Obama now suspect they may have been victims of a bait and switch. Jewish Americans voted overwhelmingly for Mr. Obama over John McCain in part because the Obama campaign went to great lengths to assure these voters that a President Obama would be supportive of Israel. This despite his friendships with rabidly anti-Israel characters like Rev. Jeremiah Wright and historian Rashid Khalidi.

At the suggestion of Mr. Obama's Jewish supporters -- including me -- the candidate visited the beleaguered town of Sderot, which had borne the brunt of thousands of rocket attacks by Hamas. Standing in front of the rocket shells, Mr. Obama declared: "If somebody was sending rockets into my house where my two daughters sleep at night, I'm going to do everything in my power to stop that. And I would expect Israelis to do the same thing." This heartfelt statement sealed the deal for many supporters of Israel.

Now, some of them apparently have voters' remorse. According to Malcolm Hoenlein, executive vice chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, "President Obama's strongest supporters among Jewish leaders are deeply troubled by his recent Middle East initiatives, and some are questioning what he really believes." I hear the same thing from rank-and-file supporters of Israel who voted for Mr. Obama.

It is becoming clearer by the day that our President has no moral foundation, nothing that anchors him to truth. When that is the case, one has no difficulty in speaking whatever is expedient for one's own purposes. With no moral foundation, and going only by good intentions, vibrant emotions, and graceful public speaking, Obama is leading our nation to ruin. He has betrayed the principles of freedom (i.e. Iran and Honduras) and is glorifying Tyranny, compromise, and appeasement. His highest goal seems to be to embrace Mahmoud Ahmadinijad, dance with Russia, and reject the democratic State of Israel. Professing himself to be wise, he is revealing himself to be a fool.
