Poison Behind the Veto

You could say it's all said and done, and all we are awaiting is the singing of the rotund female vocalist!

The Obama administrations carried through on Saturday with a veto of a UN Security Council draft resolution condemning Israel for settlements in the "occupied" territory...namely the West Bank and Jerusalem.

I need not walk through the three thousand year history in which Jerusalem has been recognized by the world as the Jewish capital. Nor must I go step by step through the scriptures pointing out David's initial conquest of the city and God's proclamations as Jerusalem being the apple of his eye. WE ALL KNOW IT!

Apparently the Obama regime has chosen to ignore what we all know. Behind UN Ambassador Susan Rice's veto of the resolution came some stunning words that show the exact course Obama is on..... to draw Israel into a war so that it will be subdued. Read Rice's own words in exercising the US veto.

"Our opposition to the resolution before this Council today should therefore not be misunderstood to mean we support settlement activity. On the contrary, we reject in the strongest terms the legitimacy of continued Israeli settlement activity. For more than four decades, Israeli settlement activity in territories occupied in 1967 has undermined Israel's security and corroded hopes for peace and stability in the region. Continued settlement activity violates Israel's international commitments, devastates trust between the parties, and threatens the prospects for peace."

Remember, she is talking about Jerusalem. In 1967, when the Arab nations attempted to wipe Israel off the map, the IDF achieved a miraculous victory which included the retaking of Jerusalem. Obama will soon demand that Israel return to the pre 1967 borders and give up Jerusalem to the peace-loving, gentle Arabs so they can worship freely on their holy sites, which of course, they now control completely.

No more Bill O'Reilly styled excuses for what Barack Obama is doing! NO, he doesn't mean well. But lest I become to frustrated with this leadership and slip into the political slime, it is God who raises up rulers for his own times and purposes. As much as it grates me to see what is spewing from Washington, I believe God's final purposes are being engineered by the Almighty.

Fasten your seat belt and hang on tight. Things are going to get wild.

Obama Slaps Israel Again

Amid the growing chaos in the Arab world, Barack Obama is intent on keeping an issue alive that was a non-issue in the first place. I'm referring to Obama's introduction of Jewish settlements in their capital of Jerusalem as a primary blocking point in negotiations with the Palestinians. With growing evidence that Iran is behind the clashes in Bahrain, Yemen, and Saudi Arabia the president has narrowed his focus on finding another way to chastise Israel and appease Islam. The words of Charlie Brown are appropriate here. "Good Grief!"

This man has an uncanny ability to major on either the minors and to the exact opposite of what he should be doing. America's last friend in the Middle East is Israel, but the president seems to go the extra mile in pushing them away. He has no understanding of loyalty, let alone any inckling at all that to abandon Israel removes any hope of Biblical blessing. Rather, Obama seems to be seeking a full-blown curse. Now, Obama has gone to the mat for the Arab world, and Israel is suddenly the criminal. Read on.

In sharp reversal, U.S. agrees to rebuke Israel in Security Council

The U.S. informed Arab governments Tuesday that it will support a U.N. Security Council statement reaffirming that the 15-nation body "does not accept the legitimacy of continued Israeli settlement activity," a move aimed at avoiding the prospect of having to veto a stronger Palestinian resolution calling the settlements illegal.
But the Palestinians rejected the American offer following a meeting late Wednesday of Arab representatives and said it is planning to press for a vote on its resolution on Friday, according to officials familiar with the issue. The decision to reject the American offer raised the prospect that the Obama administration will cast its first ever veto in the U.N. Security Council.

Still, the U.S. offer signaled a renewed willingness to seek a way out of the current impasse, even if it requires breaking with Israel and joining others in the council in sending a strong message to its key ally to stop its construction of new settlements. U.S. officials were not available for comment, but two Security Council diplomats confirmed the proposal.

The Palestinian delegation, along with Lebanon, the Security Council's only Arab member state, asked the council's president late Wednesday to schedule a meeting for Friday. But it remained unclear whether the Palestinian move today to reject the U.S. offer is simply a negotiating tactic aimed at extracting a better deal from Washington.

Susan E. Rice, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, outlined the new U.S. offer in a closed door meeting on Tuesday with the Arab Group, a bloc of Arab countries from North Africa and the Middle East. In exchange for scuttling the Palestinian resolution, the United States would support the council statement, consider supporting a U.N. Security Council visit to the Middle East, the first since 1979, and commit to supporting strong language criticizing Israel's settlement policies in a future statement by the Middle East Quartet.

The U.S.-backed draft statement -- which was first reported by Al Hurra -- was obtained by Turtle Bay. In it, the Security Council "expresses its strong opposition to any unilateral actions by any party, which cannot prejudge the outcome of negotiations and will not be recognized by the international community, and reaffirms, that it does not accept the legitimacy of continued Israeli settlement activity, which is a serious obstacle to the peace process." The statement also condemns "all forms of violence, including rocket fire from Gaza, and stresses the need for calm and security for both peoples."

U.S. officials argue that the only way to resolve the Middle East conflict is through direct negotiations involving Israel and the Palestinians. For weeks, the Obama administration has refused to negotiate with the Palestinians on a resolution condemning the settlements as illegal, signaling that they would likely veto it if it were put to a vote. The Palestinians were planning to put the resolution to a vote later this week. But Security Council statements of the sort currently under consideration are voted on the bases of consensus in the 15-nation council.

The United States has, however, been isolated in the 15-nation council. Virtually all 14 other member states are prepared to support the Palestinian resolution, according to council diplomats. A U.N. Security Council resolution generally carries greater political and legal force than a statement from the council's president.

The U.S. concession comes as the Middle East is facing a massive wave of popular demonstrations that have brought down the leaders of Tunisia and Egypt and are posing a challenge to governments in Algeria, Bahrain, and Iran.

Obama's Meddling: A Mess or a Mission?

Barry Rubin, editorialist for the Jerusalem Post, opined today at American Thinker that Barack Obama has so utterly failed in his Middle East diplomacy that no ME nation can now trust either his judgment or his promise. The following is a portion of his thoughts.
Here are some implications:
--Israel will not take risks or make concessions based on this administration's promises because it doesn't keep its promises or its commitments. The Administration is only proving the ineptness that Israelis already expected.
--But, of course, the same applies to the Palestinian Authority. Do you think it believes the U.S. government is going to protect it from Hamas?
--Do you think the Saudis and Jordanians believe America will protect them from Iran?
--Do you think the democratic oppositions in Lebanon and Turkey and Iran believe the United States will help them despite what he did in Egypt?
--Unintentionally, the mistakes of the Obama Administration has become a factor spreading the power of radical Islamist movements. People aren't going to like that sentence but it is objectively true. Israelis know it; Arabs know it; Iran's leadership knows it.

Note: Did you notice the implication of Israel no longer counting on the US to do what is right concerning Iran. If they cannot count on Obama, does this mean they are one step closer to a military strike on Iran's nuclear facilities?

Another question I ask is this; Has the president been naive and idealistic in his approach to the Middle East and Islam, or could he in reality be purposefully furthering an Islamic agenda? I suppose it would be easy to jump up and shout that the president is Islamic. But really, all one need do is look at the two year track record he has established. He doesn't have to be Islamic to tout Islam....and tout Islam he does. Some facts that add up to real trouble.
1. Obama speaks to the Egyptian parliament and declares America is no longer a Christian nation, but one of the largest Islamic nations in the world.
2. In the same speech, Obama forcefully throws Israel under the bus and calls for the division of the land into one contiguous Palestinian State.
3. Obama chose to attempt to negotiate with the Ahmadenijad regime of Iran concerning their push for nuclear weapons. That failed, so a serious of threatened deadlines came and went...no results other than Iran thumbing its nose at America and further threatening Israel.
4. Obama disrespects Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyah, by issuing an ultimatum, then leaving him sitting alone in the White House dinning room while he went to have lunch with Michelle.
5. Obama changes the mission of NASA from space exploration to a Muslim outreach program.
6. Obama refuses to affirm that the Fort Hood shooter was motivated to perpetrate the massacre by a radical Islamic cleric.
7. Obama attempted to change the status of Islamic terrorists locked up at Guantanamo Bay from enemy combatant to that of a common criminal, thereby giving them the full rights of due process enjoyed by American citizens.
8. Obama declared the Jewish settlements in the JEWISH CAPITAL of Jerusalem as the reason for Palestinian intransigence. This was jumped on by the Palestinians, who then blamed Israel for derailing peace negotiations.
9. Obama quickly labeled a police officer "stupid" after the man followed proper procedure in confronting an Obama crony who happened to be drunk and belligerent, while refusing to offer his opinion about the 911 Mosque.
10. Obama called on the Egyptian military to physically oust President Mubark if the man refused to leave office peacefully. This was done with the knowledge that the Muslim Brotherhood is stepping quickly into the void being created by protesters...with Mohammad El Baradei being in the lead. (El Baradei is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood)

Again, I do not know if Obama is a Muslim or not. One thing I do know, Barack Obama's claim of being a Christian means nothing...unless of course one believes that an adherent of Black liberation theology is actually Christian.

I am Now OFFICIALLY Outraged

This is another "I WARNED YOU ABOUT THIS" moment. Nearly one year ago, when the Tea Party was beginning to boil, and anti-Obamamania was getting reved up, I warned that if the President took a political hit at home, he would then head overseas to do even more harm.

NOW HE'S GONE AND DONE IT AGAIN!

While in Lisbon, Portugal, hobnobbing with Turkish President Gul (shown in the picture), Obama has agreed to place Turkey in control of the new NATO missile shield. Here is what he said.

"For the first time we've agreed to develop a missile defense capability that is strong enough to cover all Nato European territory and populations as well as the United States."
Here's what he didn't say.
The President bowed to Gul's demand to omit Iran, Syria and their ballistic missiles as a threat from the NATO agreement to establish a missile shield base in Turkey. President Barak Obama has devalued any US security guarantees offered Israel - as well as negating the facility's avowed purpose. The missile shield and its location in Europe were conceived in the first place for detecting and defusing Iranian and Syrian ballistic missile before they reached Europe or the United States. But not now!
debkafile's military sources report that the covert clauses in the deal additionally provide for the missile base to come under the command of a Turkish general. President Abdullah Gul held out on this point in discussions with President Obama and NATO leaders, following the lead given him by Prime Minister Tayyep Erdogan of Monday, Nov. 15: "Turkey would demand that NATO assign a Turkish commander to oversee the shield. Especially if this is to be place on our soil…," said Erdogan.

Turkey's leaders are very close to the Islamic Republic's extremist rulers and see nothing amiss in their deploying large portions of Iran's missile arsenal on Syrian and Lebanese soil (in Hizballah's keeping). A Turkish general in command of the NATO missile shield cannot be expected to regard threatening missile action by Iran, Syria or Hizballah in the same light as would President Obama or NATO Secretary-General Andres vog Rasmussen. He would simply follow the orders of his own prime minister.

So NATO's forward missile interceptor may be physically and technically located in Turkey but, under a Turkish commander, its usefulness as an operational shield for the West against the most concrete perils facing NATO members is nil.
In these circumstances, there is not much point in Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu holding out for American security guarantees, even after the US State Department spokesman stated Friday, Nov. 19, "The United States is prepared to offer Israel written security guarantees if it would help to restart stalled Middle East peace talks."
Those guarantees were awarded Turkey at the NATO summit in Lisbon and, by extension, to Iran, Syria and their radical allies, whose missiles are poised on Israel's borders facing in only one direction .
It is important to remember that American missile defense systems are closely inter-linked with and slotted into corresponding Israeli missile interceptors, air defenses and intelligence. How can this vital collaboration continue after a Turkish commander has his hand on the levers of NATO's defense shield for the United States and Europe?
This is absolutely incredible, and TOTALLY Unreported by the US mainstream media.

I am now officially outraged! The door is now wide open for Iran and Syria, once Iran has completed a nuclear weapon (Which the highest level Israeli military intelligence says has already been accomplished), to launch a nuclear-tipped ballistic missile against Israel.

How much longer can Benjamin Netanyahu afford to wait? Hizbollah and Hamas are poised for battle. Syria is ready. Iran is prodding and provoking. The Saudis have subtly stepped in to prevent a pro-western government in Lebanon from attempting to throttle the Hizbollah. Islamic extremists in the Sinai side of Egypt are threatening Israeli travelers. How long before Psalm 83 becomes a reality? When will Isaiah 17 be fulfilled by Israel's destruction of the Damascus threat?

Only God knows, but we sure seem to be heading toward the Inner Ring war at breakneck speed.

Obama Stays the Course to Divide Israel

Wasn't it nice to have Barack Obama out of the country, even if it only lasted a few days? To bad he had to visit the most populated Muslim country in the world to diss Israel over the settlement issue again.

For decades, no US President equated Jewish settlements in Jerusalem with the peace process. Barack has focused solely on this one issue....the right of Jews to settle in their own capitol city, a capitol belonging to them for over 5000 years.

But that's not all. This guy gets walloped in the mid-term elections. His own party is trying to find a way to dump him. But still, he persists in doing exactly the wrong thing morally and Biblically.

Now, he has decided to send Benjamin Netanyahu his vision on the new borders between Israel and the State of Palestine, something that does not exist! He seems hell-bent (no pun there) on testing the patience of God. Joel 3 says the dividing of the land belonging to Israel will be the prime catalyst for the march to Armageddon. Talk about a destructive nature....Barack H. Obama has it!

Obama to present US Israel-Palestinian border map within 3 months

Washington sources disclose that the three-month settlement construction freeze-for-incentives deal Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu discussed with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton Friday, Nov. 12, also included a commitment to hold Israel-Palestinian negotiations on the two states' final borders during that period. Assuming the talks collapse, the Obama administration will take the initiative of delineating those borders and present its own map to both sides before the three months are up.
Our sources disclose that the boundaries the US map will adhere a lot more closely to Palestinian territorial aspirations than to Israel case. While no one is talking about imposing it on Israel, a rejection by the Netanyahu government would place it on a collision course with the Obama White House.

Word about Obama's planned map was not relayed to the Israeli cabinet Sunday, Nov. 14 when Netanyahu reported to the cabinet on his talks with US leaders last week, our Jerusalem sources report.

According to our Washington sources, Obama believes that leaving Israel with no more than 4-4.5 percent of the pre-1967 West Bank area should satisfy its essential security requirements. In terms of population, this would entail the evacuation of dozens of settlements plus two important towns, Efrat in Gush Etzion in the south which has a population of 8,000, and Ariel in Samaria which has 20,000 inhabitants.

For Washington, it is the Palestinians who are laying down the law. After his ultimatum on construction was accepted as an obstacle to talks, the Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud Abbas now warns Washington that if every last Jewish resident is not cleared from Ariel, there will be no peace accord.
Even when the former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert held talks with Mahmoud Abbas in 2007 and 2008, Washington backed his demand for at least 5.9 percent of the land – although the figure quoted by Olmert is 6.5 percent. It was understood that in the past 33 years, these locations had developed exponentially each time the Palestinians refused to discuss peace and resorted to violence.
As for the US incentives offered Israel for accepting a second moratorium on settlement construction, Netanyahu neglected to mention the corresponding benefits to be offered the Palestinians.

The Obama administration is willing to let Israel have 20 F-35 stealth warplanes worth $3 billion in addition to the 20 already allocated and promises to veto anti-Israeli motions at the UN and other international bodies.

No one knows what promises are contained in the letter under preparation at the White House for the Palestinian Authority chairman. US sources told debkafile that Israel should not be surprised if commitments it contains are inimical to Israel.

Breakdown in Talks Can Be Laid on Obama's Doorstep

You remember the moment. Joe Biden was in Israel for some Biden-styled diplomacy, when unbeknownst to Benjamin Netanyahu, a low level housing operative in Jerusalem issued a permit for settlement construction in a disputed suburb of the capitol.

Do you recall WHO it was who THREW a HISSY FIT?

The suburb had already been slated to become part of Israel should the land be divided between the Jews and Palestinians. There was no reason for what followed. Barrack Obama, rather than acting presidential...or even messianic..., came unglued. Netanyahu was treated like an enemy. The SETTLEMENT, which would have never become an issue in the talks with Palestinians moved front and center.

NOW, the direct talks between the Israelis and Palestinians have broken down, and Netanyahu is being blamed because he refused to extend his short-term moratorium on settlements. But there's more....

Palestinian leader flew out of New York Saturday night, Sept. 25 standing by his ultimatum that for Jerusalem to announce continuation of the temporary freeze on building in West Bank settlements after it expires Sunday night - or else no more direct talks.
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton abandoned her efforts to achieve a compromise Saturday after learning that Abbas had hardened his line and opted for secret diplomacy with Hamas terrorist planners in Damascus. Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu refrained from stating his intentions regarding West Bank construction. He stated from the outset of the US peace initiative that Palestinian pre-conditions for direct talks were unacceptable. The Americans backed off pressure to change his mind after discovering Abbas' double game.

Deep in the gloom behind frantic US efforts to rescue the Israeli-Palestinian peace talks from collapsing when Israel's 10-month construction freeze runs out Sunday, Sept. 26, debkafile's counter-terror sources report a new stumbling block has appeared on the diplomatic track.
In New York, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton pressed Abbas Friday, Sept. 24, not to walk out of the talks with Israel after only two sessions. Israel's Defense Minister Ehud Barak, who delayed his return home, and negotiator Yitzhak Molcho met with US and Palestinian officials to join the effort. They all appeared to be struggling for a compromise on the settlement construction issue that would keep Abbas talking, without compromising the government's position at home.
In fact, they found themselves grappling with a new impediment: This week, Abbas sent a high-ranking delegation of his own Fatah party to Damascus for secret talks with top Hamas leaders, thereby swinging the critical focus of the Israel-Palestinian peace talks to a new internal Palestinian track led by the radical Hamas and Syria, the foremost opponents of the US-sponsored peace talks with Israel. Abbas was apparently supported in this shift by Egypt. The Fatah delegation consisted of Azzam al Ahmad, Gen. Nasser Yusuf and Sahar Basiso, head of Fatah General Intelligence, sat down with Hamas' leader Khaled Meshaal, head of its politburo Mussa Abu Marzouk and Izzat Rishak, intelligence chief. The delegation's composition was an added complication and hindrance to diplomatic progress.
Rishak personally orchestrated the first attacks on the West Bank on Aug. 30 and Sept. 1, in which four Israelis were murdered and two injured. debkafile's counter-terror sources report that these were the opening shots of a major Hamas terror campaign, designed to peak with the most devastating terrorist strike yet, which Rishak is in charge of planning. He is using the same perpetrators. They are still at large because Hamas imported unknown terrorist talent from Syria whose faces are unknown to the Shin Bet. However, a furious hunt is on to catch them in time.
Israeli defense sources reacted angrily to the news of the Fatah-Hamas get-together. While slapping down an ultimatum for partnering Israel in peace talks, Mahmoud Abbas, they said, was furtively engaged in give-and-take in the Syrian capital with Hamas terrorists who he knows to be the warpath.Clinton's diplomatic skills have suddenly been doubly taxed: She must contrive an acceptable formula for the settlement construction imbroglio and so keep the direct Palestinian-Israeli talks running, while at the same time squashing the new Palestinian-Hamas-Syrian track surreptitiously initiated by Mahmoud Abbas. A possible alternative might be one which the Obama administration has begun exploring of late, according to debkafile's Washington sources, and that is to cut Syrian and Hamas negotiators into the direct Israel-Palestinian track.
This means that the direct Israel-Palestinian direct talks, which Barack Obama called the crux of his Middle East policy during his speech to the UN last Thursday, have been virtually hijacked. Washington is struggling to maintain a grip on a process which Abbas has handed over to Damascus and Hamas. Hillary Clinton, when she meets Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Mouallem Monday, Sept. 27, is likely to test the possibility of an agreement on this issue.Hence, in New York, Assistant US Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Jeff Feltman told reporters that his government would like to see Israel and Syria settle their differences as part of a comprehensive peace, which "has to include a Syria-Israel track."

MEANING?

Obama's blitz has failed...again. Israel is attempting to negotiate with terrorists, and no matter what Abbas was before, i.e. moderate and willing, he is now aligning himself with Hamas, Syria, and a host of terrorists. Of great interest to me in the piece is the mention of EGYPT. (Read Sept. 25 post to see Inner Ring coalition.) Again, time is running down quickly.

At the Brink...Again!

Time is running out. Everyone involved in the current, direct talks in the Middle East knows it. Hillary Clinton, US Secretary of State, has engaged with a flurry of activity in hopes of staving off yet another failure to bring peace. Her efforts are not making progress.
Palestinian President, and leader of the Fatah faction, visited Damascus yesterday. The purpose? A face-to-face with Hamas leaders in an effort to reconcile the factions. Hamas is devoted to terrorism. Fatah has attempted to manipulate the negotiation process by more peaceful means. What now?
President Mahmoud Ahmadenijad is again calling for Israel to be wiped off the map. This, of course, is one of the cataclysmic requirements for the return of the 12th Imam,known as the Mahdi, the Shi'ite Messiah figure who, they say, will rule the world in Islamic splendor. Yet tucked into the rhetoric is something alarming. Ahmadenijad says Iran may be willing to cease its uranium enrichment efforts. What does that mean? Has Persia suddenly turned peaceful? Has the Mahdi delayed his return? Or, is Iran nearing the completion of the process...being a hairs breadth away from developing nuclear bombs? Maybe Mahmoud is simply bi-polar.
President Obama is making a peace agreement between the Palestinians and Israel his top priority. To him, it is his last opportunity to show himself messianic before the November mid-terms. Plus, nothing else he has done has propped him up to messianic level in the eyes of the public. The problem now is that a headlong rush into a mistake could prove catastrophic.
Wait.....that is exactly what the Bible says will happen. The disaster (for the enemies of Jehovah) will take place in two phases.
An Inner Ring War
-Psalm 83, Isaiah 17, Ezekiel 25, Obadiah 15-19, Zephaniah 2, and Zechariah 9
Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Gaza, and possibly Egypt and Saudi Arabia will come with violence against Israel. Israel will destroy these armies and their nations governing authority. New land will be seized. Israel will suddenly be feared and prosperous.
An Outer Ring War

Russia, Iran, Turkey, Libya, and the Sudan, all of whom are now in the budding stage of a militarily cooperative coalition, will come against the newly expanded Israel. God will do the deed this time, and destroy the invaders once and for all.

Forgotten God--Forgotten Values

I'd been waiting for weeks. Refusing to head to the local video merchant, I had my name on the Library waiting list. I wanted to see the miniseries...John Adams! The DVD set finally arrived and my wife and I sat down and watched the first two episodes. I've seen the series before, but yet I was again stunned at the system of values that poured forth from our founders as they faced the both liberty and death for their beliefs.

Though the HBO produced miniseries did everything possible to edit out Adams' strong belief in God, completely deleting his many prayers for Divine Providence, the truth of who those people were stood out loud and clear. You cannot edit the truth...or character...or values, and stay true to history.

I am now forced to compare the moral/spiritual fiber of our founding fathers with those of our current culture...and of course, the current occupant of the White House.

Is there any wonder that we are sprinting down a path toward irrelevance and possible destruction? Political correctness has replaced moral truth. Expedience has replaced steadfastness of faith. The idea of God in today's culture is some ethereal inner force that somehow has nothing of substance, with the exception of justifying our moral ineptitude and giving us guiltless feelings of personal satisfaction. Even if there is a moral fiber, it is the wrong morals...anti-Biblical...anti-sovereign God, and certainly anti Christ.

Obama says he's "a big believer in tolerance" and thus looks askance at "certainty" and believes in the necessity of "doubt" (an attitude mysteriously absent when pushing health care), bringing to mind G.K. Chesterton's observation: "Tolerance is the virtue of the man without convictions." Yet Obama also told Falsani that he had "deep faith." This might cause some to wonder, "In what?" And this brings us to the part of the interview in which he was asked "What is sin?" Here was his answer:
"Being out of alignment with my values."
Perhaps this question was also above Obama's pay grade, or maybe he studied divinity with Al Gore. Whatever the case, this is not the definition of sin. Rather, sin is when you violate God's laws, or, to put it in more modernistic terms, it's being out of alignment with God's values (which are the Truth). So it was an interesting answer. Some might conclude that if you define sin as being out of alignment with your values, you believe you are God.
An even stranger answer came earlier in the interview. In response to Falsani's query about whether he prayed often, Obama said, "Uh, yeah, I guess I do. It's not formal, me getting on my knees. I think I have an ongoing conversation with God. I think throughout the day, I'm constantly asking myself questions about what I'm doing, why am I doing it [emphasis mine]."
Did everyone catch that? If I pray to God, I may ask Him questions. I won't say that I have "an ongoing conversation with God" and then reflexively follow up with "I'm constantly asking myself questions."
Now, do I say that Obama thinks he is a supreme being who created the Universe? Unless it's a universe of programs, laws, regulations, and debt, no. But I am certain (if it's still legal to be so) that Obama is a typical leftist: self-centered and solipsistic. He has deified himself, in the sense that he believes he is above everyone else. This is why he, showing no doubt whatsoever, feels so sure about reshaping our world in his own image.
His comments also vindicate my assessment of him as a moral relativist. Whenever you hear "my values," know that it's the language of relativism. It's the belief that, hey, you have your values, I have mine -- you say "potato" and I say "potahto" -- and it's all just a matter of perspective. This is contrary to any absolutist faith, such as Christianity, Islam, and Judaism. They teach that God has determined right and wrong and that it is something eternal and unchanging, encapsulated in a word leftists avoid: Truth.

As I read words like these, having witnessed the effects of such self-glorifying beliefs, I am saddened that this once great land has been subjected to destruction of moral fiber from the top down. Nothing short of a spiritual revival will turn us around. Politics will not do it. Glen Beck will not do it. Jesus Christ, as revealed in the inerrant, inspired Word of God...now there's the answer.

---As recently as Friday, August 13, 2010, President Obama hosted a White House dinner in honor of the beginning of the month long, Muslim holy month of Ramadan. At that banquet, Obama made it clear that he felt the Muslims had the right to build an Islamic cultural center at the site of the WTC ground zero. Although this is true, is inference was also clear. He is in an all-out campaign to not only reach out to the world of Islam, but to strengthen its hold in America.

While these fact should not be an excuse for believers in Christ to become bigoted and haters of Muslims, it should give all patriotic Americans reason to fear for our nation. What God raised up as a shining light for the world is quickly passing into the twilight at the leadership of a man who has no moral foundation....other than Islam. God help us.

What do we do?

Pray for a fresh revival of the gospel in America.

Vote only for those who hold to the same moral foundation as given in the Bible.

Be aggressive (with much love) in sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ openly, and at every opportunity.

This is our calling whether we live in a free nation or not!

Today, we see progressive elitism at work! An elitist will do what he knows to be best for the country, or world, no matter what the citizens of the country, or world, want or don't want. Obama recalls bunker-buster bomb kits to bar Israeli strike on Iran

Shortly after Vice President Joe Biden's Israel visit ended on March 11 in high dudgeon over the approval 1,600 new homes in East Jerusalem, US president Barack Obama ordered a consignment of Joint Direct Attack Munition- JDAM already on its way to Israel to be diverted to the US Air Force base on the Indian Ocean island of Diego Garcia. This step, the pointer to a US arms embargo for preventing Israel attacking Iran's nuclear sites, is first revealed here by debkafile's military sources.

US military sources describe the consignment as consisting of 387 JDAM kits for attachment to the warheads of 2,000-pound BLU-109/MK-84 or the 1,000-pound BLU-110/MK-83 bunker-busters for their conversion into smart bombs. On March 13, debkafile disclosed that the Obama administration was pondering withholding from Israel military hardware that could be used for an Israeli attack on Iran. In late February, we reported that defense minister Ehud Barak had submitted to defense secretary Robert Gates a list of the items Israel required urgently to stand up to a four-front assault by Iran and its allies - mainly air force ordnance, certain types of missile and advanced electronic devices. Barak made it clear that all these items must be present in Israel before the outbreak of hostilities. The requests were so urgent that the minister proposed that if Washington was reluctant to hand them directly to Israel, they could be stored for the interim in the big American emergency depots in Israel's Negev.
The 387 DJAP kits were due for delivery at one of the Israeli Air Force's Negev bases in March. Because of his concern over the US president's step to divert the shipment, prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu decided to take the defense minister with him to Washington next Monday, March 22 and have him present at the meeting with Obama which the US media reports has been fixed for Tuesday (the day after his address to the AIPAC annual conference). Together they will ask for the delayed munitions to be released and handed over as part of any general understandings they may reach.

Scott Brown's stunning victory in Massachusetts spells trouble for ISRAEL!

Why? Because with a compete halt of Obama's socialistic experiment in Washington, all that is left is a concentrated return to foreign policy. Here-to-for, the Administrations attempt to bring peace to the Middle East has been an unmitigated disaster, but that is all he has left. Of course, that means further attempts to stretch out a hand to that rabid-mouth frothing-Mahdi seeking--madman named Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (pronounced: I'm a nut job). Attaining the ability to enrich uranium up to 20 percent grade brings Iran dangerously close to "break-out" point for a nuclear weapon capability, DEBKAfile's intelligence sources report. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad promised the "good news" would be announced during the Feb. 1-11 celebrations of the Islamic Revolution. The "news" also prompted an urgent cabinet meeting in Jerusalem last week.
Ahmadinejad's announcement is a provocative demonstration of contempt for the six world powers and their offer to trade Iran's low-grade uranium for 20 pc enriched product overseas. By going public on the banned process and abandoning concealment, Iran's rulers are throwing down the gauntlet to them and Israel.
DEBKAfile's Iranian sources report that the hawks of the Islamic regime led by Ahmadinejad and spiritual ruler Ayatollah Ali Khamenei have won the day for their tactics of jumping ahead of any possible US-led or Israel steps against their nuclear program with its own aggressive initiatives.
The Iranian president's enrichment announcement at a time that the Obama administration is pondering tough sanctions against the Revolutionary Guards was part of this policy; so were the Syrian and Hizballah declarations of military preparedness for a purported Israeli attack last week, taking advantage of an IDF war game to raise the alarm.
Our political sources predict that Tehran's provocative move will be met with more of the five months of foot-dragging with which Washington and Jerusalem have met Iran's contempt for one deadline after another for ending nuclear enrichment.
Both will continue to dither and pretend that stiff sanctions can scotch the Iranian nuclear threat. Tehran has meanwhile made good use of those five months to go forward and achieve a 20 pc enrichment capability.
The only straight talk from any Western leader has come from French president Nicolas Sarkozy.
Saturday, Jan. 23, he told visiting Lebanese prime minister Saad Hariri that France has evidence Iran is developing nuclear weapons contrary to its claims. He warned that Israel "would not stand by while Iran develops nuclear weapons."

In an sudden about face, Hamas leadership, the organization that controls the Gaza Strip and gaining ground in the West Bank, now says it is ready to accept "Israel's Right to Exist." In conversations with British millionaire, David Martin Abrams in Hebron yesterday, Dwaik said "No one wants to throw anyone into the sea." He went on to express that Hamas is ready to 'nullify' the original twenty-year old Palestinian Charter and push forward to forge a peace between the Palestinians and the Jews. Abrams promised to meet as soon as possible with the British Foreign Secretary to convey the exact sentiment of the meeting.

Can it really be true that Hamas, a noted terrorist organization that has lived to destroy Israel, could have actually had a change of heart? Do they really want to start playing nice with the other child in the sand box? Are we looking at the Biblical cry of "Peace and Safety" Jesus' declared would exist at the time of his coming?

Next question please....Do I believe it? Absolutely NOT! Better question: Will Big-Daddy Barack Obama believe it and use it as a way to overt the eyes of America off of his impending political demise....ABSOLUTELY YES, YOU BET, FOR CERTAIN! Obama is only too ready to prove his Middle East policies aren't the failure everyone knows they are. We already know he has thrown Israel under the bus on multiple occasions. With the push for a recognized, independent Palestinian State picking up steam in the EU and the UN, Obama will smile that winning grin and jump on board the slow train to folly. Count on it!

Hamas is just another in a growing line of Israeli/American enemies that have figured out how to manipulate the President of the United States.

Gosh, I Think He Means It (Not)

Only two types of people attempt to act as peace-makers by stomping their feet and throwing a huge hissy-fit. It is either a bully who is actually a wimp at heart....or.....someone with an ego the size of Mount Hood. In this case, we may have both types balled up into one. His name.... (uh, look to the left. Shh..you don't want to say his name in this context because you may be stuck with a label you really don't want. . . . . . . Nah, I'll say it.......) Barack Obama.

What is his current stratagem in the Middle East? Well, on Wednesday White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel told Israel's consul in Los Angeles that the Obama administration is fed up with both Israel and the Palestinians. He threatened, not promised, that the US will reduce its involvement in the Middle East if the situation does not improve. (We can only hope.) Emanuel met Jacob Dayan, consul general of Israel in Los Angeles, about two weeks ago, and Dayan then briefed the Foreign Ministry. Emanuel told Dayan the U.S. (shorthand for Obama) is sick of the Israelis (shorthand for Netanyahu) who, he said, adopt suitable ideas -- such as acceptance of the two-state solution and a freeze on settlement construction in the West Bank -- months too late, when they are no longer effective, according to Army Radio. The U.S. is also sick of the Palestinians who "never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity," Emanuel reportedly said. (Army News Daily) Emanuel reportedly said that if there is no progress in the peace process, the Obama administration will minimize its involvement (please say it ain't so) because, he said, the U.S. has other matters to deal with (like converting America into a socialist state, sucking the money from near-empty middle-class pockets, fouling up Health care, demonizing Christians and Conservatives, turning congress into a brothel, etc, etc, etc,). Offering a dubious carrot, Emanuel reportedly said that if there is progress in peace talks, Obama might visit Israel and the region. (OMG, the messiah may come to town. You Israelites better get your act together or Barack will smack you on the head with a TelePrompter.)

A Game of Chess?

Way back when I was in high school and playing saxophone in the pep band (at basketball games...I was a wrestler for those of you who think sax players are sissies!) one of the popular ditties was a song made famous by Sonny and Cher......you remember it....sing along.... "And the beat goes on....and the beat goes on..." That is the feeling I get as I watch the current Obama Administration attempt to play high-stakes Chess with Iran. In my humble opinion, the entire arsenal of our assortment of MOABs should have descended on the Ayatollahs a long time ago. But no..."Let's just talk"....is all we seem to get out of this bunch of yahoo's in Washington.

Today we discover that the USS Eisenhower Carrier group has been sent to the region in order to bolster the Sixth and Seventh Fleets. Is it a gearing up of the US to bomb the Iranians further back into the stone age (they are already there in many ways), or is it saber rattling to attempt to scare Ahmadinijad to the table? If it is the former, I say JUST DO IT! If the latter, I say FORGET ABOUT IT. Again, the Administration evidently fails to understand the nature of the beast that it is trying to play with. The radical islamists want one of two things...either an armed confrontation to justify their cause....or a nuke to further their cause. If we are going to use force against them, we'd better be prepared to do the job thoroughly and completely. The worst scenario would be if our President is simply trying to stall the Israelis. Forgive me if I rant at bit.... FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, THE ISRAELIS ARE THE ONES IN THE CROSSHAIRS!

Petraeus: Iran's nuclear infrastructure can be bombed

The deployment in the Middle East of the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower carrier strike group in the first week of January adds muscle to the words of Gen. David Petraeus, CENTCOM commander, on Jan 10 that Iranian nuclear infrastructure, albeit strengthened against attack with enhanced underground tunnels, wasn't fully protected.
"Well, they certainly can be bombed," he said to CNN. "The level of effect would vary with who it is that carries it out, what ordnance they have and what capability they can bring to bear."
This judgment contradicts recent US media estimates that Iran's nuclear facilities buried deep in fortified tunnels are now protected against air or missile strikes.
Declining to comment on the likelihood of an Israeli strike, Gen. Petraeus said there was still time for diplomacy, but pointed out: "It would be almost literally irresponsible if Centcom were not to have been thinking about 'what ifs' and making plans for a whole variety of different contingencies."
DEBKAfile's military sources add: CENTCOM was substantially beefed up by the USS Eisenhower carrier which President Barack Obama deployed in the New Year to the Persian Gulf and Mediterranean in support of the US Fifth and Sixth Fleets. He ordered this six-month deployment, the first since he took office a year ago, in view of the rising tensions around Yemen and Iran.
The Eisenhower carries eight air squadrons on its decks.
Air Wing Seven is made up of four fighter-bomber squadrons, a squadron each of early-warning surveillance, electronic warfare and tactical support aircraft and another of anti-submarine helicopters. Its strike force consists of the USS Hue City guided missile cruiser, and two guided missile destroyers, the USS McFaul, USS Farragut and USS Carney.
Obama said in a recent interview that he had not intention of sending US combat troops to the terrorist havens of Somalia and Yemen because "working with international partners is most effective at this point."
This statement ties in with pumping up America's naval and air strength in the two volatile regions to avoid sending in more boots on the ground which the US cannot afford at this time.
