A Confessed Radical.....I AM

<-------Dudes a NUT...that is undeniable. Worse, he is a violent megalomaniac, ready to kill as many of his own people necessary to retain his dictatorship. Many say he will not last out the week. I am not so sure, but even if he does, Libya will not turn to democracy.
A wave of radicalism is sweeping Northern Africa and the Middle East. Shi'ite is battling Sunni. Jihad against Jihad. Radical against Radical. The enemies of Israel are fighting themselves. It is incredible to see.
That is why I believe it is time to stand up and declare, "I am a RADICAL!"
Really, I confess. I am a radical.
Car bombs and sticks of dynamite aside, I am a radical. I won't blow you up. I won't aim a rocket at you. I won't stab you, lie to you, or blow smoke in your face, but I AM a radical.
I follow no Imam, have no Mullah pulling me along by promises of virgins and paradise, and do not listen to the crazy Ayatollah's on religious television.
I follow a King, revealed to the world as a carpenter/itinerant preacher. He was known for his meekness and compassion. He healed and touched and blessed until he dropped, or rather, was tacked to a post and suspended between heaven and earth. He jumped down no well to hide from his enemies. Instead, he stood before the silent, quiet as a lamb to slaughter, and allowed them to humiliate, scourge, and crucify him. That was radical!
I'm a radical because He is a living radical. Risen from the dead! Alive! Seated on the throne awaiting the day when it will be time to say "ENOUGH" to man and his evil.
My radical King is coming soon....he's coming for those he has radically changed! It is written in the Book. It is true.
"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout of command, the voice of an archangel, and the trumpet call of God. And the dead radicals will rise first, and we radicals who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with him in the atmosphere, and so shall we ever be with the Lord."
I AM A RADICAL!
Are you?
The time to make a choice has arrived.

Signs of the Times Fortold Long Ago

One of the aspects of this blog is to watch certain signs of the times in order to ascertain how close we might be to the Lord's return for his church. The following article may not necessarily be s sign that Jesus is coming, but it is definitely a sign of our times, times that no longer make much sense.
Jesus warned us that someday, Christianity would not be popular. "Don't be alarmed when you are persecuted. They persecuted me, they'll persecute you. You are NOT above your master!" Stuff like that is ringing true. Nativity scenes are again being removed from government properties, and in some cases, kids backpacks. Why? Well you goof. Didn't you know that Christmas isn't really about Christ? Sheesh, Christmas is about greed, materialism, a fat dude abusing reign deer, and the outlawing of fast food. Plus, we can now pass the season knowing that absolutely no one has a clue what is going to happen next in the world.
One town in Oklahoma found out what you cannot do during the yuletide season.
PERKINS, Okla. -- A small-town bank in Oklahoma said the Federal Reserve won’t let it keep religious signs and symbols on display.
Federal Reserve examiners come every four years to make sure banks are complying with a long list of regulations. The examiners came to Perkins last week. And the team from Kansas City deemed a Bible verse of the day, crosses on the teller’s counter and buttons that say "Merry Christmas, God With Us." were inappropriate. The Bible verse of the day on the bank's Internet site also had to be taken down.

“I don’t think there should be a problem with them displaying whatever religious symbols they want to display,” said Amy Weierman, a Perkins resident.

Specifically, the feds believed, the symbols violated the discouragement clause of Regulation B of the bank regulations. According to the clause, "...the use of words, symbols, models and other forms of communication ... express, imply or suggest a discriminatory preference or policy of exclusion."

The feds interpret that to mean, for example, a Jew or Muslim or atheist may be offended and believe they may be discriminated against at this bank. It is an appearance of discrimination.

But customers Eyewitness News 5 talked to said they aren’t buying it.

“This is just ridiculous,” said bank customer Jim Nyles. “This whole thing is just ridiculous. We all have regulatory bodies that govern us. But this is too much.”

“I think that’s absurd,” said Chelsi Holser, a bank customer. “I don’t agree with it at all. They are taking Christ out of Christmas and life.”

The bank is quietly fighting for a clearer interpretation of the clause. Officials have contacted their two U.S. legislators, Rep. Frank Lucas and Sen. Jim Inhofe, and the Oklahoma Bankers Association to help.

Do All Roads Lead to Heaven?

Guest Columnist
All Roads Lead to Heaven?
By Albert Mohler

What catches the attention of a columnist for The Washington Post? A recent column by Kathleen Parker indicates that theology has become a focus of national attention. Kathleen Parker used her column in The Washington Post to take on Franklin Graham and his belief that belief in Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation.

Parker began her column with the fact that Franklin Graham prayed outside the Pentagon last Thursday, rather than inside, having been disinvited by the Pentagon as the speaker for its scheduled National Day of Prayer service. Graham, you will remember, was disinvited because of statements he made about Islam — statements directly referenced by the Army spokesman as “not appropriate.”

Those statements made clear reference to the Gospel of Jesus Christ as the only message of salvation, to Christ as the only Savior, and to Islam as an evil belief system that pulls millions away from faith in Christ and delivers no hope of salvation. In a later interview, Graham made his point about the uniqueness of the Christian Gospel, adding Hinduism as another example of a false religion.

All this was too much for Kathleen Parker, who asked: “Oh well, it doesn’t matter where one prays, right? All prayers lead to heaven. Or do they?”

She took direct aim at Franklin Graham’s theology, arguing that “Graham’s views didn’t sit very well with secular Americans or even non-evangelical Christians.” Well, probably not — and that serves to indicate what makes evangelical Christianity distinct from secular Americans and secularized Christianity.

But, Parker advised her readers, evangelicals are not likely to hold onto this belief for long. In her words:

Graham isn’t alone in his views. A survey of 1,000 Protestant pastors, conducted by an evangelical polling firm, found that 47 percent agree that Islam is “a very evil and a very wicked religion.” But such opinions may be confined mostly to an older generation. Evangelicals under 30 believe that there are many ways to God, not just through Jesus.
In essence, Kathleen Parker was advising secular America that the distinctive evangelical belief in the necessity of belief in Christ for salvation has a generational expiration date stamped on it. She then cites research by David Campbell of Notre Dame and Robert Putman of Harvard indicating that “nearly two-thirds of evangelicals under 35 believe non-Christians can go to heaven, vs. 39 percent of those over 65.”

So, even as secular Americans are expected to recoil in horror at the idea that there are Christians who still believe that faith in Jesus is the only way of salvation, they are given the hope that the coming generation of younger evangelicals will abandon that conviction and follow the path set by liberal Protestantism. There are signs she may be right, but this would mean the surrender of the Gospel.

But Kathleen Parker is not finished with her argument. She then turns to Fingerprints of God, a recent book by Barbara Bradley Hagerty of National Public Radio. Hagerty cites neuroscience as giving evidence of a “God spot” in the brain that supposedly indicates that all religious beliefs are the same:
Her research led to some startling conclusions that have caused no small amount of Sturm und Drang among those who believe theirs is the one true way. She found that whether one is a Sikh, a Catholic nun, a Buddhist monk or a Sufi Muslim, the brain reacts to focused prayer and meditation much in the same way. The same parts light up and the same parts go dark during deep meditation.
Well, no Sturm und Drang here, Mrs. Parker. This neuroscience may tell us something about the operation of the brain, but it tells us nothing of theological importance. It might indicate that certain religious practices have similar effects in the brain, but it tell us nothing about which theological beliefs are true. The evidence from neuroscience is of interest in this respect only to those who believe that all religious experience is merely a reflection of biology — and if you believe this you are not concerned about heaven or hell at all.

Kathleen Parker’s column is indeed revealing. But the most revelatory aspect of her essay is its unmasked hostility toward any belief that there is only one way of salvation. This is the so-called “scandal of particularity” that causes so much secular offense. In recent years the Roman Catholic Church has officially embraced forms of inclusivism in order to reduce this burden, and liberal Protestantism has embraced just about every relativistic alternative, from outright universalism to various forms of inclusivism, in which people are believed to be saved through Christ, but not through any conscious knowledge of Him. The universalists argue that all religions lead to the same truth. Inclusivists argue that all faiths eventually lead to Christ, even if He is not known. Both are repudiations of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The column by Kathleen Parker is yet another signpost of the current age and the worldview of the secularized classes. In their view, what evangelicals believe about the Gospel of Jesus Christ is just out of bounds and embarrassing. But, she tells her readers, don’t worry — younger evangelicals are going to put that belief far behind them.

Is she right?

Counterparts and Confusion

Although we look toward the arrival of Christmas day as a way of celebrating the Lord's deliverance of humanity from the death of sin, the Jews are in the final few days of their celebration of Chanukka (Hanukkah) in which the remember the deliverance brought about by the Maccabees against the strong hand of the Syrians.
I have been intrigued to read various Jewish perspectives on this week of celebration and have come to the conclusion that many Israelis are operating in confusion. The reason for this comes from a deep sense of contradiction. In their minds, they celebrate their freedom, yet many see the plight of the Palestinians as mirroring their own Jewish history. How can true freedom be celebrated while an entire people are held in subjugation? I even found an article that condemned the Israeli government for using an overbearing iron fist while being ripe with corruption. That was from an Israeli citizen. Why the confusion in the face of nearing calamity at the hands of Israel's multiple enemies?
I submit that these Jews are suffering from spiritual bi-polarisim. They are attempting to maintain the freedom to exist, but have not discovered the existence of true freedom. I speak of the freedom provided by the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Yeshua, not the temporary freedom and cleansing of the temple gained by the Maccabees. Only Jesus offered the cleansing of the inner temple, the spirit of the person. Only Jesus offered the transformation from death to life. Only Jesus provides the hope of deliverance. What both the Jews and the Palestinians seek is LIFE.
As you celebrate your way through this Christmas season, remember to pray for those who are still in bondage. Pray for Jews, Muslims, Africans, Irish, Russians, Chinese, and everyone in between. Pray for your neighbor across the street. Pray for a fresh arrival of freedom.
NOW for a bit of NEWS.
Iran:
New Centrifuges Developed
(From today's Jerusalem Post)
Iran has found a way to get around whatever sanctions are in place and import the necessary parts to develop faster centrifuges for the enriching of uranium. The fact that Iran continues to defy the international community should come as no surprise. However, there seems to be an urgency attached to Iran's mission to construct nuclear weapons. Why? Could it be that Muslim's bent to the Shi'a interpretation of the Koran are sensing (by way of the demonic delusion behind it) the return of the Mahdi in the same way that we who believe in the Rapture of the Church somehow sense the sounding of the trumpet is drawing near?
The scriptures tell us that Lucifer understands his time is short. He knows what is coming. His mission of opposing God is taking on an urgency never before witnessed in the the cosmos. For my part, I'm so very glad I am, only by the grace of God, on the side that has already achieved the victory over the enemy. That is cause for celebration!

Don't Buy Stock In Chicken Little

Over the course of the last few days I have witnessed more youtube videos about the end of the world than I care to remember. Some have demonstrated the creation of "Concentration Camps" for anti-OBAMITES, for those who refuse the H1N1 Vaccination, and Christians. New World Order videos decrying a one world currency abound. Implanted chip stories are running wild. "America is DOOMED" is being shouted by everyone from Glen Beck to Joe down the street.
CHICKEN LITTLE is freaking out! Fear is wrapping its slimy fingers around every unguarded throat. Hysteria is lurking in every dark corner, not only of the internet, but in Sunday School rooms and coffee shops. Yikes!
I DON'T BUY IT! What is the point of getting all Chicken Littled? HELLLLOOOO....the Bible warned us about these types of events. Jesus said it. Did we not believe him? Does getting all worked up somehow help the cause of Christ? For crying-out-loud friends, aren't we supposed to have the peace of God that passes understanding? Isn't that peace guarding our hearts and minds? Or is Chicken Little pecking on the top of your head?
Maybe America is about to go over a cliff into a Marxist-led one world order. Don't we believers in Christ carry just a temporary visa to this land? I've had temporary visas stamped in my Passport while living overseas. It is what it is....TEMPORARY......not ETERNAL! Our citizenship is in a greater Kingdom. Does that mean we shouldn't voice our morals, stand up against a growing tyranny, and warn as many people as possible? Of course not. We are to be good citizens of our beloved country. But, sheeesh, we do not have the right to get all worked into a frenzy. Think it throug...no....PRAY it through. Our spiritual eyes must be on our King, even as our skeptical eyes are on our President. Please do not forget that.
Now....as to the coming one world government, the anti-Christ, and the Mark of the Beast. It will soon be a reality. (Soon is relative only to God's timetable.) The seeds of it are upon us, but it is not here yet. In fact, the anti-Christ cannot be revealed until a certain Restrainer is taken out of the way. (2 Thess. 2) For those of you who believe the Bride of Christ will be here when God's wrath is poured out... you need to rethink your position according to scripture. The church/Bride is not appointed for wrath. Would you beat up your wife? No? Then tell me why you think Christ would beat his? Nope...we will be gone...taken out of the world before the Father squishes the world like ripe grapes. (1 Thess. 4:15-18) Does this mean we will not go through tribulation....certainly not! We are PROMISED tribulation FROM THE UNGODLY WORLD, not from God. News Alert!....Tribulation is coming! It will come in the form of Hate Crime Legislation, and economic meltdown, terrible persecution, and inner city violence. That is the current course of things on this earth. (Matthew 24) However, we are to encourage ourselves with the fact that we will be snatched from this earth before the really horrible wrath of God is poured out.
So, how do we face these days? Here are my simple suggestions:
1. If you really want to have peace, spend more quiet time with the giver of Peace.... Jesus Christ.
2. Do not forsake the assembling of yourselves together, especially as you see that day approaching. That means, GO TO CHURCH! What is the point of soccer, football, basketball, and tiddlywinks when the world is winding down? Do we really have a right to go to our Christian gatherings only when it is convenient? Not if we are true followers of Christ. (I don't imagine my church is going to reach a new attendance record by saying that...but so be it.)
3. Spend time watching the signs, but spend more time in the WORD! Glen Beck is pretty good and I enjoy seeing his passion. However, GOD is AWESOME and actually created passion. Get passionate about God and what he is doing.
4. Pray for your President. Speak out against his policies, but do not allow hatred and wild emotions rule you.
5. If you want to see what's coming next prophetically, keep your eyes on Israel, not America. America is not mentioned in scripture, meaning it either won't exist, will be irrelevant, or will have joined the rest of the world community against Israel. (I believe the latter is the case, but that's just me.) Israel is the key.
6. Let not your heart be troubled. A troubled heart is absolutely no good to the Lord. A steadfast heart will be sought out. Witness will be given, and God will use you like never before.
7. Finally, be prudent as you watch the approaching signs that things are falling apart. It's okay to store away food in order to sustain your family and to help others in need. But the best thing to do is to store up for yourselves treasures in heaven. How? By being generous now in your giving. Give to your church. Give to the pour. Give to missions. Give Give Give. You will wish you had when the dollar dries up. Banking in God's economy never loses its value. In fact, his multiplication system is the best in the universe.
There you have it....my thoughts on Chicken Little, Chicken Soup, and sundry other items. Take or leave it. I will not be freaking out anytime soon. I will, however, rejoice in the Holy Spirit as I see these things that were spoken long ago come to pass.

Rattled Knees and Rapture Dreams

It's time for a little quiz. Answer honestly! There are only two questions.
When you read or watch the news, does your heart-rate increase? Yes - NO
Is your increased adrenaline due to a sensation of fear, or hope? Fear - Hope
That wasn't so hard now was it? For some, the mere mention of a QUIZ strike Ben-ladenesque fear. But there is more behind your answer than you might realize, especially for the believe in Messiah.
Oh, you want to know how I answered, do you? (Why do you think I'm writing this blog?)
The age/time/generation/days we live in are unique. There's no question that they are rapidly fulfilling a Bible prediction: "In the last days perilous times will come." I, for one, think peril has arrived. Today, Defense Secretary Robert Gates made a brilliant statement. He said, "There is no doubt that Iran will be able to launch nuclear-tipped missiles against its neighbors a lot sooner than it will be able to reach us." Duh! But it gets worse. He also said, "Iran's completion of its nuclear program may be sooner than we think." One word comes to mind... PERIL!
But my heart races for another reason. "For God gave us a spirit not of fear, but of power, love and self-control." (2Timothy 1:7) The elements of this verse are not only available to the believer in Messiah, they have already been given. FOR GOD GAVE! In the same way that God so loved the world that he GAVE, he has given us a spirit that looks beyond peril and acts outside of terror. So, fear is not my heart-racer unless I'm speeding down the highway and see a State Trooper coming the other way, or unless I am sneaking a cookie and my wife comes in the room. (Now that's real fear!)
My increased heart rate is for accompanies this great time of peril.
First: A Great Outpouring of Power is on the way. That makes me excited. People need Jesus, but right now their ears are stopped up. Trouble is coming, and with it, people are going to seek for truth like never before. I get to be a part of the giving of life! lub-dub lub-dub lub-dub...
Second: With the increasing peril of our day will come a release of those things that matter not. It won't matter what my bank account looks like. There won't be one. It will not matter in the least what stuff I have...stuff crammed in the garage or storage. Why? Because when life is on the line, stuff doesn't matter. "The Kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit." (Heart rate at 130 and climbing)
Third: With the coming showdown on the horizon, the Gog and Magog War against Israel, my heart beats the fastest whenever I look up to see redemption speeding my way. Terrorism has no hold. Bible Prophecy speaks to the coming victory more than it speaks to horror, at least for the believer. Iran and Ahmadinijad will do their thing...God will pay the back for their misdeeds. And although we can see it all coming, what really pumps fresh surges of adrenaline into my system is the RAPTURE! (Get the heart monitor)
If you are in fear of these days, get in touch with the truth of the Word. Your only fear should be that which is intertwined in having a relationship with the God who measures the universe in the span of his hand...yet love YOU enough to offer redemption through his only Son Jesus Messiah. So, quit shaking in your loafers. Look up! Jesus is at the door. (Get new heart)

Where Have All the Real Heroes Gone?

It is a sad reflection of our fallen world! Michael Jackson is dead. Farrah transitioned into the afterlife. Ed McMahon expired (In reverse order, of course), and the world mourns. Part of me is sad as well. The part that grieves that three lives have slipped into eternity without the hope of the life assured by a relationship with Jesus. But what really saddens my heart is to see the glorification of these fallen 'pop-culture' icons. One was immersed in a hedonistic lifestyle marked by clouds of pedophilia. Another's claim to fame was driven by the designation of being a sex-goddess. Her veneration came with a spread in Playboy magazine after the age of 50. The great tragedy of her loss was that she didn't have the chance to finally marry her partner of thirty years. (My how time rushes by and strips us of opportunities!) The last lived in the shadow of a greater entertainer, never moving beyond the level of a faithful sidekick.
In the eyes of the public, these are a sampling of the HEROES of our day. Shallow individuals corrupted by self, money, and the pursuit of stardom. But it is only for Michael Jackson that people find themselves weeping uncontrollably in the streets...or should I say gutters.
Where have the true heroes gone? Yesterday, I saw a young man cleaning out a hotel swimming pool after a storm blew through the evening before. It was amazing. He manipulated that long net with dexterity, but it was obviously a gargantuan effort. He only had one arm. I couldn't help but wonder if he had lost it defending his country. He was the right age, and the way he carried himself screamed military. Sound like a hero? What about Neda. I saw it too. She lay in the streets of Tehran, bleeding through the mouth and nose after being shot by a goon riding a motorcycle. All she was doing was standing up to voice her desire for freedom. Hero? What about the hundreds of Christian Pastors who faithfully preach Jesus in places like Iran, Iraq, and other Islamically bound nations? Yes, they are there, risking their lives every time they speak. Heroes?
It will most likely come out today that Michael Jackson died of an overdose of prescription pain medication. He will have died for nothing; nothing beyond escapism. He was never able to live up to his fame. He never achieved the inner greatness of one the thousands of Sudanese Christian martyrs whose name will never be known. They will weep for Farrah, but who recognizes that lonely wife who has stuck with her husband when he has proven himself an unfaithful dweeb? Who will idolize that teenager who not only says NO to peer pressure, but offers the truth of Jesus to his lost friend instead?
Some day, the true heroes of the world will be lined up for all to see. Words of commendation and praise will usher them into the Kingdom. The only pat on the back they'll ever need will come from the King of Glory. The others? Shrouded in outer darkness, with the flames of the Lake of Fire licking at them for eternity, their voices will be heard by none. The only memories of their existence will reside in their own tortured minds, and in the eternal thoughts of the one who loved them enough to have offered them a way of escape. That way was rejected, and there lies the sadness in this week's deaths.

Middle East News

As President Obama carries out an elaborately staged theatrical performance in signing an anti-smoking bill into law, the world of geo-politics continues to shift and re-position. Protests in Iran continue, and so does the crackdown. An estimated 600 have been wounded, and 19 have given their lives in search for freedom. (Our President is keeping his hands off, not even supporting those seeking liberation from the Mullah-dominated theocracy.) In the mean time, Israel continues to reach out diplomatically to its neighbors. The following is from the Debkafile.

Iran crisis tightens top-level Israel-Egyptian-Saudi strategic interaction
DEBKAfile Exclusive Report
June 21, 2009, 8:49 PM (GMT+02:00)

Israel's defense minister Ehud Barak said his talks in Cairo Sunday, June 21, with President Hosni Mubarak, Egyptian defense minister Gen. Tantawi and intelligence minister Gen. Omar Suleiman were interesting and wide-ranging. They covered Iran, Lebanon, Gaza, US president Barak Obama's Middle East peace initiative
and the case of the abducted Israeli soldier Gilead Shalit, now three years in Hamas captivity.
A round meeting of all four was followed by separate discussions with the key officials of the two governments five weeks after Binyamin Netanyahu traveled to Sharm el-Sheikh for a conference with the Egyptian president on May 11 shortly before he took office as Israeli prime minister.
DEBKAfile's political sources report The Cairo conference further solidified the understanding forged between Israel, Egypt and Saudi Arabia six months ago, which none of the parties acknowledge formally.
One of its aspects is Israel's willingness to take its Arab partners' interests into account in its military policy. This consideration guided Israel in ending its Gaza offensive in January short of wiping out the Palestinian extremist Hamas.
The three neighbors are bound by the common objective of halting Iran's Middle East expansion and curtailing its nuclear aspirations by means of diplomatic, military and intelligence cooperation, or alternatively, to minimize the menace posed the region from Tehran.
For most of the time, the three partners have worked together quietly and ad hoc. Then US President Barack Obama and Netanyahu used their speeches to bring the arrangement out in the open when they spoke of a breakthrough in Israel-Arab regional relations to accompany Israel-Palestinian peace talks.
There are no direct Israel-Saudi official contacts, DEBKAfile's Middle East sources report. They use Cairo as a letterbox with Gen. Suleiman hopping over to Riyadh to deliver messages as needed. Israeli and Saudi intelligence chiefs are thought to have had one secret meeting in an Arab capital.
Iran obviously figured high on the agenda of Barak's talks with Egyptian leaders. In fact it was the first time that the two governments had ever admitted to discussing regional affairs unrelated to bilateral or Palestinian issues. There is no doubt that both Jerusalem and Cairo urgently needed to trade views, intelligence input and evaluations on where the unrest in Iran is heading next.
Regarding Lebanon, Egyptian leaders and the Israeli minister explored the implications of the pro-Iranian Hizballah's loss of the March 8 election to the pro-western majory.
On the Palestinian issue, they talked about mending the fences between Fatah and Hamas, a sine qua non for progress in Israel-Palestinian peacemaking.
The Israeli prime minister remarked Sunday as Barak was on his way to Cairo that the demands he made of the Palestinians in his June 14 speech as necessary for peace were not pre-conditions was meant to smooth the way for the minister's talks in Cairo. In that speech, Netanyahu said he would accept a Palestinian state alongside Israel provided it was demilitarized and the Palestinians recognizes Israel as a Jewish state.

In the midst of the turmoil great works by the Lord are taking place. Within the movement in Iran, though unreported in the national media, hundreds and hundreds of people are seeking out and finding true liberation in the person of Jesus Christ. Nothing less than a revival is taking place. (Go to joelrosenberg.com for an in depth story) The hand of God is shaping world events, but the heart of God is calling to the lost like never before. Jesus is gathering the lost sheep. He is appearing in visions and dreams. Harvest is happening. The most gladdening truth is the King is coming....SOON!

They Think He is God...A Rude Awakening Cometh

FROM THE BIBLE.... "Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus, every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Philippians 2:9-11

This from the American Thinker, June 6, 2009.... FROM MSNBC

Evan Thomas on Obama: 'He's sort of God'
Rick Moran

Newsbusters Kyle Drennen has the hysterical details of Newsweek's Evan Thomas on MSNBC's Hardball going over the top with his gushing praise of Obama's Cairo speech that he actually said he was God:

Newsweek editor Evan Thomas brought adulation over President Obama's Cairo speech to a whole new level on Friday, declaring on MSNBC: "I mean in a way Obama's standing above the country, above - above the world, he's sort of God."

Thomas elaborated a bit on Obama as God:

"He's going to bring all different sides together...Obama is trying to sort of tamper everything down. He doesn't even use the word terror. He uses extremism. He's all about let us reason together...He's the teacher. He is going to say, ‘now, children, stop fighting and quarreling with each other.

This is the same guy who was honest enough to admit back in 2004 that liberal bias in the media was worth 15 percentage points to John Kerry.

This really isn't that much of a surprise when you consider that many media analysts are saying that Obama worship in the press is beyond anything yet seen in American politics. They like him. They agree with him politically. And because he's black, they badly want him to succeed.
Perhaps even more revealing of how liberals in the media view America, Thomas gives us this:
Matthews discussed Obama's upcoming speech marking the 65th anniversary of D-Day and compared it to that of Ronald Reagan. He then turned to Thomas and asked: "Reagan and World War II and the sense of us as the good guys in the world, how are we doing?" Thomas replied: "Well, we were the good guys in 1984, it felt that way. It hasn't felt that way in recent years. So Obama's had, really, a different task We're seen too often as the bad guys. And he - he has a very different job from - Reagan was all about America, and you talked about it. Obama is ‘we are above that now.' We're not just parochial, we're not just chauvinistic, we're not just provincial."

Yeah sure. What do we need a pro-American president for when we've got God on our side?

I think we realize how this is all going to turn out. The fraud will soon be revealed: The King has already been revealed...for all who will believe. However, professing themselves to be wise, they have become fools." Romans 1:22Jimmy Root Jr
