Iran's Obstinance Continues to Grow

While the western talking heads continue to shuffle toward a diplomatic dead end, Iran not only thumbs its nose, it takes further measures to incite a confrontation with Israel and the USA. Debka.com reported today that the Iranian Parliament passed legislation to funnel funds to various anti-western organizations in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, and other Central Asian States.

"Tehran moved toward a military confrontation with the United Sates and Britain when its parliament earmarked $20 million to support 'progressive currents which resist US and UK illegal activities." The motion also ordered an investigation of alleged "US and British plots against the Islamic Republic.' Our Iranian and counter-terror sources report that Tehran is acting to broaden its support of terrorist movements by bringing additional armed Islamist and insurgent groups into its support cycle as a means of forcing Washington and London to ease the pressure on its uranium enrichment projects and nuclear bomb program. Tehran classifies the groups combating the West in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Central Asia as "progressive." The West may therefore be faced with newly-empowered armed groups in those places including possibly Taliban and al Qaeda allies."

The fact is the West just doesn't get it. The Administration has ignored the key element of radical religious fervor that is behind every move Mahmoud Ahmadinijad makes. He thrives while under the pressure of the "infidel." His is a holy war, a jihad. Obama and Clinton can talk all they want. They can unclench their fist...as they have multiple times. They can wag their fingers, but in the end, Tehran will continue to do everything it can to create war. Until we wake up and go the route of a great big bomb, the odds are we will pay for our foolishness with terror attacks that will make 9-11 pale in comparison. That's the bad news.

However, the news is GOOD too! You see, God is not, nor will he be taken by surprise. Allah will not ambush Jehovah. God has it all designed in order to demonstrate to the world that there is no other God. For those who follow hard after Jesus, the days ahead may be filled with peril, but in the peril will be the opportunity. It will not be an opportunity to perform some Christian jihad. Rather, the opportunities that are coming our way will be to palpably show the love of God and his desire to transform the heart of all who will call upon his name. That, is GREAT News.

Israeli General Brings Up Subject of a Five Front War

Psalm 83, Jeremiah 12, Isaiah 17, Ezekiel 25, and Obadiah prophesy a five-front war. It has been reviewed on this blog for weeks...no, months. In Ezekiel 25, the Lord said he would inflict devastation against Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, and Gaza (Saudi Arabia is in the mix too). He would do it "by the hand of my people Israel," which separates it as a totally different war than the Ezekiel 38 and 39 Gog and Magog war. We can see both on the horizon.

Now, for the first time in print, Israel is talking openly about the probability of a five-front war! They see it coming. They see an attack on Iran's nuclear sites as the catalyst to the greater war. Incredible. Please read this statement from Israel's top Air Force General and tell me things are not lining up for a fulfillment of prophecy.

Israeli Air Force chief Maj. Gen. Ido Nehushtan told a Tel Aviv University audience Friday, Nov. 27: "The time for hard decisions is fast approaching," adding "The range of security threats to Israel is very complex and we must prepare for all exigencies." Nehushtan was clearly referring to the No. 1 security challenge facing Israel, which is Iran's nuclear weapons program and its constant threats against the Jewish state. Experts translate the "hard decisions," he referred to as the tough choice of priorities facing government and military decision-makers in a potential war. They would have to choose between striking Iran's ballistic missile bases or the missiles pointing at Israel from Syria, Lebanon and the Gaza Strip, as well dealing with hostile ships facing Israel from a fifth direction, the Mediterranean.
All five potential fronts were addressed by the joint US-Israel Juniper Cobra 10 missile interception exercise that took place for two weeks at the beginning of November. US and Israeli forces successfully practiced close sync between their interceptors, radar and electronic jamming systems.
It also exposed a major vulnerability: In the event of a coordinated missile offensive from several directions, Israel would be unable to extend total security both to its missile bases, airfields and strategic sites and also to its civilian population. The Israeli Air force is not capable of knocking out all out once all five potential sources of missile attacks.
This means that if the Israel air force first targeted Iran, Syria and Hizballah would be free to provide Iran with active support by sending their missiles and rockets flying into Israel from its northern borders before their bases can be seriously impaired in an Israeli counter-attack. This gap in Israel's defenses leaves large parts of Israel open to attack - and not just the northern region which was blasted by Hizballah in 2006. Iran has provided its Lebanese proxy with upgraded rockets for reaching further south to Israel's central urban heartland of Greater Tel Aviv.

Defense minister Ehud Barak had this expanded peril in the mind when he said Wednesday, Nov. 25, that Hizballah's next attack would expose all of Lebanon, not just the south, to Israel counter-strikes. He said this time unlike in 2006, the Lebanese government would be held responsible, given that the Iran-backed Shiite group had scattered its missile bases across the country. Barak was flashing signals to the Lebanese and Syrian governments - as well as the Palestinian Hamas in Gaza - that they risked their countries being totally devastated if they opted to retaliate on Iran's behalf for an Israeli strike on the Islamic republic nuclear installations.

I believe Israel continues to do everything it can to stave off this five-front war, or an attack on the Iranian nuclear facilities for that matter. However, negative signs continue to pile up, signs that demonstrate Iran will not cooperate with the international community. Israel will have to act, and I believe that action will take place soon.

The Russian Two-Step

Just two days after Benjamin Netanyahu goes through with his promise to cease new settlement construction in the West Bank, a group of European Jews paid a visit to President Dimtry Medvedev in an effort to garner Russian support in placing a hedge around Iran.

As you know, several militarily binding agreements have been made over the last 18 months between Russia and Iran, and Russia is holding true to those treaties. The final pact called for the purchase of the new S-300 anti-aircraft missile that would bolster Iran's ability to ward off an enemy attack against its nuclear facilities. So far, Russia has withheld delivery of the S-300 upgrade, and the delegation European Jews sought to make sure delivery never happens. It is also reported that the delegation requested a reconsideration of international sanctions against Iran, but Medvedev brushed aside the proposal saying the North Korea posed the greater threat to international stability.

In a public statement following the meeting, Paul Delin, vice president of the Board of Deputies of British Jews stated, "Medvedev said he understands the concerns" over Iran's nuclear program. But he also said he favors dialogue first, and Russia would reconsider this position only if a threat [from Iran] became evident."

We asked that Russia stop supplying the S-300 to Iran," said Kantor, another delegation member. "Minister Lavrov told us the sale did not contravene international law. We were also told [by Medvedev] that while the system represents a sophisticated means of protection, Russia was within its rights in selling Iran a defensive system. It was not endangering global security." But the Jewish leaders "disagree with this statement. We think a defensive weapon is a strong motivator for an aggressor to attack." Kantor pointed out that the current Iranian regime "has declared openly that it wants to destroy other countries - not just Israel, but also the United States and Britain."

It is almost unfair to be able to analyze these developments through the lens of prophetic scripture. We already know that Russia will do little more than symbolic gestures in controlling Iran....something for the international community to be distracted by. Russia is, and will continue to be not only a firm ally of Iran, but the controlling partner. (Read Ezekiel 38 and 39) The withholding of the S-300 missile order has a purpose.....maybe not a thought out purpose in the minds of the Russians, but a purpose born elsewhere. Iran would welcome an Israeli, or Israeli/US attack on its facilities. It knows that such an attack would rally Islam against the infidel. That is why I believe an attack by Israel will probably occur soon. The window of opportunity is open. Whether or not they do is totally at the discretion of God Almighty. This is His show, and His SHOWDOWN!

The Threat of Islam

I found this piece by Daniel Pipes to be quite interesting, especially in light of the way Hamas took over the Gaza Strip by way of democratic election. Pipes is an OpEd Columnist for the Jerusalem Post and provides valuable insight into Islam's two-tracked way of thinking and acting.

Islamism 2.0 - An Even Greater Threat

To borrow a computer term, if Ayatollah Khomeini, Osama bin Laden, and Nidal Hasan represent Islamism 1.0, Recep Tayyip Erdogan (the prime minister of Turkey), Tariq Ramadan (a Swiss intellectual), and Keith Ellison (a US congressman) represent Islamism 2.0. The former kill more people but the latter pose a greater threat to Western civilization.
The 1.0 version attacks those perceived as obstructing its goal of a society ruled by a global caliphate and totally regulated by Shari'a (Islamic law). Islamism's original tactics, from totalitarian rule to mega-terrorism, encompass unlimited brutality. Three thousand dead in one attack? Bin Laden's search for atomic weaponry suggests the murderous toll could be a hundred or even a thousand times larger.
However, a review of the past three decades, since Islamism became a significant political force, finds that violence alone rarely works. Survivors of terrorism rarely capitulate to radical Islam - not after the assassination of Anwar Sadat in Egypt in 1981, nor the 9/11 attacks, the Bali bombings of 2002, the Madrid bombing of 2004, the Amman bombing of 2005, or the terrorist campaigns in Israel, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. Terrorism does physical damage and kills and intimidates but it rarely overturns the existing order. Imagine Islamists had caused the devastation of Hurricane Katrina or the 2004 tsunami - what could these have lastingly achieved?
NON-TERRORIST violence aimed at applying Shari'a does hardly better. Revolution (meaning, a wide-scale social revolt) took Islamists to power in just one place at one time - Iran in 1978-79. Likewise, a coup d'état (a military overthrow) carried them to power just once - Sudan in 1989. Same for civil war - Afghanistan in 1996.
If the violence of Islamism 1.0 rarely succeeds in forwarding the Shari'a, the Islamism 2.0 strategy of working through the system does better. Islamists, adept at winning public opinion, represent the main opposition force in Muslim-majority countries such as Morocco, Egypt, Lebanon, and Kuwait. Islamists have enjoyed electoral success in Algeria in 1992, Bangladesh in 2001, Turkey in 2002, and Iraq in 2005.
Once in power, they can move the country toward Shari'a. As Mahmoud Ahmadinejad faces the wrath of Iranian street demonstrators and bin Laden cowers in a cave, Erdogan basks in public approval, remakes the Republic of Turkey, and offers an enticing model for Islamists worldwide.
Recognizing this pattern, al-Qaida's once-leading theorist has publicly repudiated terrorism and adopted political means. Sayyid Imam al-Sharif (b. 1950, also known by the nom de guerre Dr. Fadl) was accused of helping assassinate Sadat. In 1988, he published a book that argued for perpetual, violent jihad against the West. With time, however, Sharif observed the inutility of violent attacks and instead advocated a strategy of infiltrating the state and influencing society.
In a recent book, he condemned the use of force against Muslims ("Every drop of blood that was shed or is being shed in Afghanistan and Iraq is the responsibility of bin Laden and Zawahiri and their followers") and even against non-Muslims (9/11 was counterproductive, for "what good is it if you destroy one of your enemy's buildings, and he destroys one of your countries? What good is it if you kill one of his people, and he kills a thousand of yours?").
Sharif's evolution from theorist of terrorism to advocate of lawful transformation echoes a much broader shift; accordingly, as author Lawrence Wright notes, his defection poses a "terrible threat" to al-Qaida. Other once-violent Islamist organizations in Algeria, Egypt, and Syria have recognized the potential of lawful Islamism and largely renounced violence. One also sees a parallel shift in Western countries; Ramadan and Ellison represent a burgeoning trend.
(What one might call Islamism 1.5 - a combination of hard and soft means, of external and internal approaches - also works. It involves lawful Islamists softening up the enemy, then violent elements seizing power. The Hamas takeover of Gaza proved that such a combination can work: win elections in 2006, then stage a violent insurrection in 2007. Similar processes are possibly underway in Pakistan. The United Kingdom might be undergoing the opposite process, whereby violence creates a political opening.)
In conclusion, only Islamists, not fascists or communists, have gone well beyond crude force to win public support and develop a 2.0 version. Because this aspect of Islamism undermines traditional values and destroys freedoms, it may threaten civilized life even more than does 1.0's brutality.

World News and Bible Prophecy will not feature preaching. In fact, the last thing I want to do is sound preachy. (No Radio Evangelist here!) Rather, the talk show will orbit around a continuing conversation, probably with a cup of coffee in one hand and the Bible in the other. Listeners will be able to send their questions by email, and the possibility exists to eventually take live call-in questions. However, I want to get a grip on doing the show live before allowing any sudden twists or turns. There will be humor, opinion, and plenty of challenges to the culture.

Egypt warns of Muslim Anger Over Status of Jerusalem

While the whole of the United States seems to have its eyes on the squirrels in Washington that are doing their best to steal our money, our freedom, and our health care, things are happening in the Middle East.

First, in a report from Debka.com on Sunday morning, word was released that Russia has withheld delivery of its promise S300-anti-aircraft missiles. Iran's air defence systems are decidedly outdated and no match for Israeli jamming technology. hmmm

Second, Israeli President Shimon Peres made a visit to Egypt for a sitdown with Hosni Mubarak. I have been warning for weeks that Egypt's stance toward Israel, which has been moderate since the peace accords of 1978, is beginning to change. It is becoming increasingly antagonistic, and as a result, Egypt has removed its military from the Negev thereby allowing a resumption of a flow of arms and rockets into Gaza. Now, Mubarak has taken President Obama's lead of using Jewish Settlements as a flash point in forcing Israel into further concessions. This simply will not go away. Obama let the cat out of the bag and it is going to stay out of the bag. Listen to Mubarak's comments as reported in Sunday's Jerusalem Post article.

Settlement construction is "a marginal issue … some building of houses that became a central issue for the wrong reasons," Peres said after the meeting, adding that a resumption of talks and negotiations would bring about solutions for all disputed points.

Mubarak, however, told reporters that any construction by Israel on land beyond the 1967 borders would put a damper on "final-status negotiations" and further augment the stagnation of the peace process. He also warned Peres that Israel would anger all Muslims if it does not resolve Jerusalem's disputed status, emphasizing that the future of Jerusalem is an issue for the entire Islamic world. "I expressed my concern to President Peres that peace talks have not progressed since our last meeting in July and that Egypt is looking forward to an Israeli response, such as halting the building of settlements in east Jerusalem," he said.
Mubarak added that the time had passed for talk on temporary solutions and borders - which has long been seen as a stepping stone to a solving the crisis - and instead a just and lasting peace should be concluded.
"We want an end to settlement in occupied lands, including east Jerusalem," he was quoted by Reuters as saying, later calling on Israel to exhibit awareness "of the regional situation … [and] the dangers of losing the opportunity for peace."
In a Cairo address on Saturday, Mubarak said Israeli plans to "Judaize" Jerusalem, its excavations around al-Aksa Mosque and the confrontations with Palestinians were placing "new obstacles in the path to peace."
Israel's "demand to recognize it as a Jewish state and refusal to include Jerusalem in negotiations for a comprehensive agreement" were "undermining" peace efforts, Egypt's president said.

Once again, the progression to a solidification of the Psalm 83 coalition is marching toward fulfillment. Should Israel take the opportunity to bomb Iran's nuclear sites, the whole of the Islamic world will unite in a push to destroy the Jewish people once and for all. Egypt is a key player and is listed as the Hagrites (Hagarenes) in Psalm 83. Keep your eyes open.

Iran to Hold Drill to Protect Nuke Sites
By ASSOCIATED PRESS TEHERAN, Iran

Iranian state TV is reporting that the country will begin large-scale air defense war games Sunday aimed at protecting nuclear facilities against any possible attack. Gen. Ahmad Mighani, who heads an air force unit dealing with threats to Iran's air space, said the war games will cover regions where Iran's nuclear facilities are located, according to the report.
The official IRNA news agency said the drill will cover 600,000 square kilometers in central, western and southern Iran.
In related news, Iran's ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency said his nation needs enriched uranium to power some 200 hospitals and insisted "guarantees" were needed before they could consider a storage deal with Turkey.



Lebanon Army Chief Calls for High Alert

Lebanese Army commander Gen. Jean Kahwaji instructed his troops to raise the level of alert along the border with Israel in preparation for an attack planned by "the Israeli enemy", London-based Alquds Alarabi reported on Saturday. In a statement published ahead of Lebanon's independence day, which will take place on Sunday, the Lebanese military chief called for "greater vigilance" on the border "to counter the planned attacks by the Israeli enemy against the homeland."
All the available options must be used to address Israel's violations of the country's sovereignty "land, sea and air," Kahwaji said.
He asked the army to stand by the Lebanese people "to support their steadfastness on their land" and stressed Lebanon's right to the "liberation of its land still under occupation in the Sheba Farms, and the villages of Shuba and Ghajar."



Makes you wonder if Israel's neighbors have picked up the Bible. The fact that Israel will subdue its enemies has ALREADY BEEN WRITTEN. Keep your eyes open!

Turkey with Wrench In Hand

It appears a "last-ditch" effort to stave off of the use of military force in the near future is under way by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Bibi today put forth a demand that the cycle by which enriched uranium is funneled back to Iran, according to Obama's proposal, be slowed. This is to delay even longer Iran's ability to complete production of a nuclear bomb. Netanyahu's demand was rejected outright by Obama who said no additional amendments would be added to the negotiated arrangement. Of course, Iran has complete rejected the entire proposal. This means Netanyahu has been left to pursue the matter in a different direction, namely the establishment of some sort of negotiations with the Syrians that will somehow keep a second front from developing should Israel decide to strike Iran's nuclear sites.

But, the day after French President Nicolas Sarkozy said his country was ready to facilitate a resumption of talks between Syria and Israel, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Wednesday that although Israel no longer trusts Turkey to mediate the talks, Damascus would not accept Paris's role. "On this issue (of mediation), Israel's stance is that it doesn't trust us," Erdogan told a press conference in Rome. "Former Israeli prime minister Olmert trusted Turkey, but [Prime Minister Binyamin] Netanyahu doesn't trust us. That's his choice," he said, according to a Reuters translation. "Now France is trying to take up the role we had," Erdogan added. "I'm not sure what kind of stance [Syrian President] Bashar Assad will take, but from what I've heard from him, they're not going to accept something like this."

Don't look for Netanyahu to sit back and wring his hands. He will continue to hotly pursue any "OUT" that might appear, anything that will allow him to delay bombing Iran's facilities. In all probability, positive appearing moments will arise over the next few days. However, I think any hope of settling this threat has long since passed Israel by.

Read tomorrow's blog as I do a "walk-thru" of Isaiah 17 to demonstrate how the chapter can only be talking about the times in which we are living. Keep looking up, but while you do, pray for the peace of Jerusalem. (Throw in some fervent prayer for both Jews and Muslims. Jesus is revealing himself.)

To what, you might ask, am I referring by relating these two Psalms? Those enemies that our now gathering in order to come against the heritage of the Lord (the land of promise), to destroy the people of God (the covenant people) need to have fair warning. The schemes depicted in Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 38 and 39 will result in the destruction of Israel's enemies, and a release of Spirit-led evangelism around the globe.

The President Speaks His Mind

Though the event was avoided for as long as possible, President Obama finally sat down for an interview with FOX News, the organization his White House has attempted to marginalize unsuccessfully over the last few months. In fact, FOX News viewership has increased dramatically due to White House attacks. Give it to Obama for at least understanding his need to speak to the majority of Americans even if they are conservative.

Much of what he said was a continuation of his campaign jibberish. However, in regards to the Israeli/Palestinian issue, his foundational, anti-Israel bias was made clear. Though he attempted to sound thoughtful and Presidential, his words reveal that he believes Israel IS, as always, the problem in forging a peace in the Middle East. In his own words;

"The actions taken by the Israeli government contravene repeated calls by the international community, including the Quartet, and run counter to the creation of an atmosphere conducive to achieving a viable and credible solution to the conflict between Israelis and Palestinians," continued the statement. "If there is to be genuine peace, a way must be found to resolve the status of Jerusalem as the future capital of two states."

First, the settlements are legal by previous agreements, especially in the light that Israel declared Jerusalem to be its national capitol in the early 1980's.

Second, no mention is made of the illegal Palestinian construction that is happening throughout Jerusalem.

Third, no mention is made of Palestinian uprisings at the site of the Temple Mount.

Fourth, no mention is made of the repeated statements by Palestinians that "Israel must be wiped off the map."

By now, most of us are aware of Obama's rhetorical ability and his propensity to speak sweetly. His actions are the true revelator in his foundational belief that the Arab world, vicariously through the Palestinians, is the oppressed, while Israel is the oppressor.

Netanyahu Finally Draws a Line in the Sand

This week, Prime Minister Netanyahu journeyed to the United States to speak to the General Assembly of Jewish Federations of North America and to meet with President Obama. Many stories have been written about the Obama meeting. Some have reported that Obama placed demands related to the Palestinians on Netanyahu before he agreed to meet him. Other reports suggested that Obama was not happy with Netanyahu's speech -- that it did not go far enough in uplifting the sagging political condition of Abbas.
Whatever stories may be true, one part of Netanyahu's speech deserves our undivided attention:
"Now, what do I mean by the Jewish state? It is a state in which all individuals and all minorities have equal individual rights. Yet our national symbols, our language our culture spring from the heritage of the Jewish people. And most importantly, any Jew from anywhere in the world has a right to immigrate to Israel and become a citizen. I want to make it clear: Any Jew, of any denomination, will always have a right to come home to the Jewish state. Religious pluralism and tolerance will always guide my policy. Now what does a Jewish state mean for the Palestinians? It means that they must recognize that the fantasy of flooding Israel with refugees is gone; that they give up irredentist claims to the Negev and to the Galilee, and that they declare unequivocally that the conflict is finally over."


Did these words upset Obama? For sure they rankled Abbas and his Fatah gang. Despite all their sophistication in addressing the Western press and elected officials, the Palestinian leadership have not figured out how to deal with the Jewish State problem. By throwing down the gauntlet on this issue Netanyahu goes to the heart of the divide between Israel, Obama, the EU and the PA as it interjects an uncomfortable fact: Abbas wants a Palestinian State but he does not want a Jewish State. Exposing his stance here is important, necessary, and long overdue. Abbas and Arafat before have been given a free pass on this seminal issue. Those days are over.



For decades, the world, including Israel's governments have allowed the Palestinians to establish un-historical claims to the land while they refuse to recognize a Jewish State. Even the talk about two states does not specify Israel as a Jewish State. Again let me emphasize that the State of Israel has not argued that Israel should be recognized as a Jewish State, until now. And why didn't Israel makes this argument? Because that stance would have ended so called "negotiations" with the Palestinians because they are adamantly opposed to a Jewish state - their end game is one Palestinian state. That is why they continue to claim that ancient Israel did not exist on this land. They continue to declare that Solomon's Temple never existed. Their fictional account of reality must be exposed. Prime Minister Netanyahu should be supported in this campaign for the Jewish State. When he delivered his first policy speech on relations with the Palestinians he declared that Israel must be recognized by the Palestinians as a Jewish state. After the speech, Abbas, President of the Palestinians, a man who looks so Western and civilized was asked if he would recognize Israel as a Jewish state. He refused to answer the question. Because his answer would be an unacceptable no. The fight for the Jewish State is now officially engaged.

Does Iran Expect the Inevitable?

Before you thing Mahmoud Ahmadinijad reads the Bible, just remember that his entire game plan is designed around an apocalyptic event. In fact, it is his self-proclaimed calling to be the honored martyr that brings about the return of the Shi'ia Messiah, the Mahdi (or Twelfth Imam). The Shiite belief is wrapped in Biblesque proportions in that the Mahdi will return during a great cataclysmic holy war. He will return and subjugate all infidels to his sovereignty or he will destroy them. Jesus will return with him and bow to his feet. Ahmadinijad believes he is the man called to launch the final Jihad.

Today's Debkafiles is reporting: "The Iranians are frenziedly digging hundreds of new missile launch silos in central and Western Iran in readiness for a US or Israeli attack on their nuclear installations, DEBKAfile's intelligence sources report. The Iranians are working at the same frantic tempo to turn out Shehab-3, Shehab-4 and Sajil-2 ballistic missiles, as well as a fourth secret ICBM which is believed designed to carry a nuclear warhead." We know that Israel is being forced into a unilateral attack by its air force against Iran's nuclear sites. I continue to hold out hope that he United States will assist them in some form, but that might be wishful thinking. The question is; does Iran see the handwriting on the wall, and does it believe it is doing the writing?

A New Palestinian Ploy and the Return of Bill Clinton

Just when you thought Hillary had taken the reigns, Barack Obama throws her a curve and calls in a "bigger gun" to deal with the Palestinians.

What's up? PA leader Mamoud Abbas has apparently decided to bypass the slow plodding of his new buddy, Barack Obama (perhaps "Dithering" fits here too), and ride the wave created by the anti-Semitic Goldstone Report through the United Nations. His goal? To unilaterally declare, with the backing of the United Nations, the Islamic Republic of Palestine, with Jerusalem as its capitol.

The move has caught Obama and Hillary totally by surprise (not surprising) and their rabbit in the hat is former President, and Middle Eastern whiz, Bill Clinton. Amazingly, two primadonnas call on another primaddonna to handle a primaddona.

Imagine the box the Israelis must see themselves occupying. Their hands were full to overflowing with Hamas in the Gaza strip. The West Bank seemed relatively benign in comparison. Then comes Barack Obama to the UN podium and declares that Israel must come to the peace table to negotiate a Palestinian state with contiguous borders...the inference being Israel's return to the pre 1967 war frontier. Then came the blatantly anti-Israel Goldstone Report. Abbas has obviously seen these developments as an opportunity, so he bypassed every ongoing and failed avenue for peace in order to push the issue. The question will be whether or not Abbas' move will actually garner any support from the Hamas, the Iranian-backed militants who openly proclaim the genocide of all Jews. According to the Debkafile, even Iran and Saudi Arabia were caught off guard.

It is worth paying attention to, even if it is just to watch Bill do his thing and make President Obama look like the weakling he really is.

A Weak Obama is Sarkozy's Gain in Middle East

You can see that developments are happening daily in the ongoing saga of the Middle East. Why? God calls Jerusalem the Center of the Universe. Israel is the apple of his eyes. I imagine that has something to do with the flurry of activity taking place. One can easily run out of breath trying to chase events.

Recently, I have been pinpointing events that specifically point to the fulfillment of prophecy concerning two, key wars that are fast approaching. While I will not re-hash all the ins and outs (see earlier blogs) it is difficult to use any other lens in understanding what is going on, at least for me. The Psalm 83 "Inner Ring," those nations bordering Israel that occupy the land promised to Abraham, are rapidly coalescing. All they need is some trigger event that will solidify their unity and bring about an attack or extreme threat against Israel. Meanwhile, the Ezekiel 38 & 39 "Outer Ring" coalition seems to be solidified. An interesting aspect is to see the overlap between the two rings, namely the participation of Syria. Maybe it's extreme hatred of Israel, and its constant fueling of terror is why Damascus is specifically mentioned as being obliterated (something that has not happened in all its history until now) and left a wasteland. hmmm?

Syria's President, Bashar Assad, is in the news again today attempting to stimulate a renewal of peace talks with Israel. After seeing that Obama is a waffle, he has turned to a key participant in the "Outer Ring" coalition to help mediate peace. I am speaking of Turkey...capital city...Ankara. He has also bypassed Obama in favor of Nicolas Sarkozy of France. Sarkozy is part Jewish. He sees himself as a peace-maker...and really, he is. Some of you know my feelings about this guy. I will not state them here. HOWEVER, it is interesting to note that Syria is talking the talk of peace, yet continues to funnel massive amounts of arms into Southern Lebanon. Syria is fully given to the Iranian axis. Could it be that Assad has learned Ahmadinijad's stall tactics and is attempting to give them a go? Sure looks that way to me. This is just another twist in the wind while Israel prepares itself for war. Read this from today's Jerusalem Post.

'France Must Act,' says Assad as Meeting with Sarkozy Begins

French President Nicolas Sarkozy's meeting with Syrian President Bashar Assad kicked off in Paris on Friday afternoon. Prior to the meeting, Assad stated that the talks would center on issues relating to Mideast peace, adding that "France must act" to ensure progress in the region.
Meanwhile, in an interview published Friday in the daily Le Figaro, Assad was critical of what he termed the US "weak link" in Mideast peace efforts and urged President Barack Obama to lay out a plan of action for renewed peace talks. Assad's visit to Paris comes two days after that of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, giving the impression that France was positioning itself for what it has long sought - a larger role in the push for Mideast peace. On Wednesday, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu told Sarkozy during a meeting in the French capital that he would speak with Syrian President Bashar Assad "anytime, anywhere" and "without preconditions." However, a member of Assad's delegation in Paris told Israel Radio on Friday that Netanyahu's comments were "public relation exercise." He added that Damascus wanted Ankara to resume mediation between Syria and Israel. A government source clarified that the prime minister would be willing to talk directly with Assad, something that has not happened since Ehud Barak was in office 10 years ago.

Some have asked what I think about 2012 and the Mayan calendar. Could the world end?

My Answer: Sure it could, but it won't! Why did the Mayan date keeper end at the Winter Solstice of 2012? A few plausible reasons:

1. He was getting really old by that date and died. It was a good stopping point.

2. His country was invaded and he had to run.

3. Maybe he just got tired of doing it.

4. A calendar that chronicles over 3000 years takes up a lot of rocks. (You know, carving on rocks?)

I'm not making fun of the fact that so many in the world actually sense that some ending is about to take place. That part is true. The world as we know it is about to change.....several times, in fact. However, IT IS GOD who controls the times and seasons, by his own authority. (Acts 1:7) If you are a pre-tribulation rapturist as I, this thing as at least 1007 seven years before a New Heaven and New Earth are created. (And that is predicated on the rapture happening today, and the Tribulation beginning immediately, which it may not.) So you see, the world is not going to come crashing down in 2012. I don't think the axis is going to shift, nor is global warming going to freeze the surface of the earth.

Israel's Enemies are Suddenly Emboldened

Why are the enemies of Israel suddenly filled with boldness?

There might be several reasons. Let me list a few.

1. President Obama takes a pro-Palestinian, pro-Islamist position during his speech to Egyptian congress in Cairo.

2. President Obama slaps Israel down at every turn while extended a hand of peace toward an Iranian regime that wants to destroy Israel.

3. President Obama likens Israel's treatment of the Palestinians (who have launched 12 thousand rockets at Israeli civilians over the last four years) to the Holocaust, then calls for a Palestinian Nation with contiguous borders that would divide Israel in two.

4. President Obama continues to call for the halt of LEGAL Jewish settlements in the West Bank while ignoring ILLEGAL Arab settlements in Jerusalem.

5. President Obama refuses to call the massacre at Fort Hood an act of Islamist terror.

6. And so on and so forth.

7. Turkey turns totally to the Iranian Axis of anti-Semitism.

8. The UN General Assembly ratifies the Goldstone Report that is decidedly anti-Semitic in nature, and completely baseless in its claims.

So, it's not to brain-draining to understand why the Hizbollah thugs are acting like Apes pounding their chests. Read this article from the Jerusalem Post and you will again see why Israel is going to have to act, and soon.

Hizbullah official boasts: All of Israel is Within our Fire Range

Senior Hizbullah official Mahmoud Kamati on Wednesday mocked IDF Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi, and said all of Israel was within his group's fire range.

"Ashkenazi's threats are baseless and are an attempt to draw attention away from the enemy's defeat in Gaza and in Lebanon," Kamati said in an interview with Al-Jazeera. He went on to boast that "all the cities and all Israeli military and industrial centers are within Hizbullah's fire range."

Kamati was responding to remarks by Ashkenazi on Tuesday, who told the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee that "Hizbullah operatives in Lebanon are in possession of tens of thousands of rockets, with a range of up to 325km." The Hizbullah official went on to warn that if the IAF bombed Beirut, Hizbullah would retaliate by bombing Tel Aviv. "The enemy knows that defeat under the current circumstances would be a critical defeat that would change the balance of power in favor of Hizbullah, leading to the destruction of the Zionist entity," Kamati said.

Turkey's Turning to the Magog Alliance is Complete

After a bit of a "Healthcare" lull, world news seems to have gotten right back on the track toward the ultimate showdown between Jehovah and Allah. It will happen. The question is when? The signs are increasing in both number and rapidity. Once again the alert points us to the movement of Turkey (Gomer/Togarmah) into the Magog Axis. For some weeks I have been sounding off about Turkey's conversion to the radical side of Islam and its rejection of a longstanding alliance with Israel. As of today, that turn toward the Magog Axis is complete.

Erdogan Promises Iran Turkish Intelligence Aid Against Israel



In the secret part of their talks in Tehran on Oct. 28, DEBKAfile's military sources reveal that Turkish prime minister Tayyep Recep Erdogan and Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad struck military cooperation deals which promised Iran Turkish military intelligence and air force assistance against a possible Israeli attack on its nuclear sites.
Their understandings have bound Turkey to pass intelligence data to Tehran on potential Israeli preparations for a strike and on US military movements in the Middle East for providing backup. Our sources report that the details finalized in meetings between the Turkish and Iranian military specialists in Istanbul Monday, Nov. 9, were due to be sealed by presidents Abdullah Gul and Ahmadinejad Tuesday. The Iranian president is to be in Turkey as guest of the Islamic Conference.
The Turkish prime minister has not only buried his country's longstanding military and intelligence ties with Israel but climbed aboard the adversarial axis confronting the Jewish state. Turkey has agreed to round out the forward surveillance outposts encircling Israel's borders: Hamas from the southwest in Gaza, Syria in the east, Lebanon in the north and now Turkey from the northwest. Tehran is banking on this encirclement for early warning of an approaching Israeli strike and any supportive American movements.
According to Western intelligence sources in Ankara, heads of the Turkish army objected to their government's strategic turn to Iran and the cutoff of its ties with Israel. However its pro-Islamic leaders, which have gradually eased the army out of policymaking, have forced them to accept operational ties with the military of an anti-Western Middle Eastern nation as being in the nation's best interests.
Erdogan's most compelling argument is that President Barack Obama's secret proposal for Iran to deposit 400 kilos of its enriched Iran in Turkey for safekeeping in charge of International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors, had elevated Turkey to an enhanced role as a broker between the US and Iran, sanctioned by Agency director Mohamed ElBaradei. If Turkey, a member of NATO, was able to gain the Iranian regime's trust, the Turkish prime minister maintained, it was only thanks to the military understandings he reached in Tehran.
DEBKAfile's military sources report that word of the Turkish-Iranian military collaboration deal landed with shocking effect in Washington and Jerusalem. They had not forewarned by their intelligence services that Erdogan was willing to go as far as this to ally Turkey with the Islamic regime.

It appears that the misguided, misdirected, naive, pro-Palestinian, anti-Israeli foreign policy framework of the Obama Administration is paying dividends.....against Israel! Israel is encircled completely by radical Islamist enemies. Their goal? The destruction of the Jewish nation once and for all.

Worse, leaks fromyesterday's meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and Barack Obama suggest Obama requested more time in his attempt to bring a diplomatic solution to Iranian stubbornness. How much longer can Israel wait? Obama will talk the world into oblivion, and Israel knows it. All but 4% of the Israeli public now believe that Obama is decidedly anti-Israel. The encirclement of Israel is complete. A do or die decision is all that is left for Netanyahu.

How will it begin? Israel is 8 hours ahead of the United States. I believe we will be preparing to head for bed one evening and the news that Israel has begun an attack on Iran will keep us up all night watching the news. The Israeli Air Force will attack military and nuclear development sites in Iran. The second Syria's hackles rise up to defend it's axis boss, Damascus will be smoked...turned into a pile of rubble. The Hizbollah in southern Lebanon, and the Hamas in Gaza will start launching the first of its 25 thousand rockets into Israel. Israel will turn them into rubble as well. Jordan, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia will decide to defend Islam. Israel will subdue them quickly, possibly with tactical nuclear weapons mounted on cruise missiles. It will only take a few days, but when its over, Israel will control the land from the Nile River in the south, to the Turkish border in the north, to the Euphrates River in the east. West Bank Palestinians will cry UNCLE, the United States President will froth at the mouth and quake in his boots, Europe will say "bad Israel" while shaking its fist, and Russia will begin rounding up its alliance for one final attempt to force Israel into submission.

In the meantime, the whole world will be thrown into an economic and terror-driven tailspin that will force people everywhere to open their hearts and minds to the Truth. Where will we be? If the rapture hasn't happened by then, we will have the opportunity to turn into frightened weaklings or, we will rise up and begin to proclaim the truth the Jesus is the One True Savior of the world. The MIRACULOUS will follow those who believe. Millions of people will come into the Kingdom, and it will happen because the world will be in the most desperate time in all history up to that point.

Are you ready?

Note: This may not happen next week, next month, or even next year. However, it could start tomorrow. The key is to occupy our duty in love and obedience until He comes! We are certainly living in exciting times.
